Everything that we ordered was delicious and our server was so patient & kind. We had dinner somewhere else and had wishes we just came here both nights. The pizza, steak, Lovers Plate & drinks were all amazing !!The only negative was the hostess was pretty rude when we checked in, she told us it would be over an hour we should go somewhere else but we still wanted to wait & she wasnt too happy. But we will probably be back our next trip!

For the price we paid, this restaurant offers the best Italian food. All the dishes we ordered were delicious - two appetizers (Calamari Fritti and roasted Brussels Sprouts), California pizza, Frutta di Mare and Tagliatelle Bolognese shared by 4 people. Service was excellent. The environment was a bit noisy. We arrived at 5:30pm on Thursday and the wait was about 30 mins. We will definitely come back when we visit Pismo Beach again.

I came around 5:30 pm on Sunday and there were tons of people because it’s the weekend. It also looked packed because of everyone waiting and they said 25-30 min wait but it was less than that. Waiter made sure we enjoyed our dinner and we had everything we needed, so awesome service.Great dishes, but what blew my mind is the pistachio cheesecake. I believe It’s seasonal, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever had! Not the cheapest place to eat but I would come back again

Loved the food! We ordered 2 appetizers, the calamari and wood fire pizza. Both delicious! For dinner, my husband ordered Fruita Di Mare and I ordered the Capesante E Camberi. Kids ordered a Fettecinni Alfredo and Caesar salad both with grilled chicken. Then for dessert, we ordered strawberry tiramisu and milky way cheesecake. Excellent service!!Thank you to our wonderful waiter Guido and awesome busser Sasha!! We never had to ask for more water or to remove plates off the table. You both made our family’s experience extremely enjoyable. We will be back soon!!!

We were in for a long wait due to limited staff working, but another party cancelled, so up we went on the 45 minute wait list. Actual wait time was about 20 minutes. The Panzerotti was great! Carlos deftly rolled out the dough and it was terrific! You can tell that he cares about his craft. I ordered Pomodoro Pasta and it was flavorful and simple. One of us ordered Chicken Paillard and it was great. The Prime Top Sirloin Beef Dip was good and the portion was big. Bread and garlic sauce were served upon being seated. We had bread rolls that are served during lunch, then we received slided bread. Both worked for me. This wasn’t my first choice of places to go, but I’m glad we went. Jessie, our server, was attentive and hard working. I also ordered Merlot and it was a fine accompaniment to my meal.

Wow! Recently went here for a birthday party for a party of six and boy did we get great service. The food is always amazing. But the service was absolutely fantastic. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nicer place to eat in Pismo. Get there early is my only recommendation..and stay out of the bar, unless you’re trying to pick up a “cougar “ from the Central Valley!

Dinner here was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere was family oriented with folks having dinner and drinks, laughing and having a good time. The Zucchini Blossom appetizer was made perfect. We shared the lasagna and it was plenty for the both of us. We had a couple glasses of wine and enjoyed the ambiance. Service was on point and really took care of their customers!!! The food was amazing and the service was so good. The staff were really really nice as well! The starter bread and dip are awesome, and for desert we found the crème brûlée dreamyyyyyy… the price is really good and overall suchhhhh a nice restaurant! Would definitely come again. Honestly, the pics we took are quite bad - but it really is an amazingly good restaurant.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, subpar service. The grilled octopus was absolutely perfect. Tender, but with a good char. The carbonara was as rich as it should be. Truly decadent, and totally worth it. The clams with the linguine were plump and tasty. The service, while friendly enough, was slow. Quite easy to be forgotten about it seems.

I would give it a 5, but we were seated next to a back door, which led to the parking lot, and was opened consistently! The cold wind constantly came in, which made our experience very unacceptable. We would have asked to move, but then we would have waited another 45 minutes to be seated again. It also made our food cold towards the end of our dining experience. I was amazed there wasnt a sign that said, Use the front door. Other than that, the food was fabulous as always.

If there is a best restaurant on the central coast, this might be it. It is all about the quality of food, authenticity, level of service, excellence, price to value, history, embrace by locals. I could go on and on. This place operates at the highest level of any dining establishment in the region and at the same level I have seen in internationally renown kitchens. This is a real restaurant, not a chain, not a mediocre mom and pop. This is how a true dining establishment should operate. It thrives and has been around for a long time.....for a reason !!

This place outdoes itself. I came with my family of 5 and it was superb on so many levels! All the pasta was handmade, sauce was high quality, service was....friendly, but not over the top, but...it didnt have to be. The food was amazing! And the bartender had the heaviest of hands !!!!! ❤❤❤ the bread and garlic parmesan/oil dip was unheard of!!!! I need that recipe!! Ravioli di zucca & Nanas meatballs for dessert cannoli. The raviolis were super delicious I would recommend them. The meatballs were a little bland and needed some more seasoning but Ill give it a second shot. The cannoli was to die for a super delicious dessert up my alley that I can stand behind. Service was super great I never had an empty glass I always had somebody asking if I needed anything super friendly.

Food is excellent, so is service. First visit here and it lived up to its referrals. we had the lasagna and the butternut ravioli. Bread is sliced too thin, but we should probably skip that anyway! Expect a wait, its small and its popular! Get there right when they open otherwise. Only open at lunch on weekends, else just dinner on weeknights, Sun-Thu. No reservations. Plan accordingly. Its worth it. (*But we wont wait in a line)

The 1 STAR is for the hostess. At our arrival we were told the wait is approximately 45 min to an hour. My daughter’s really wanted to try the food here so we decided to wait. Unfortunately the wait turned into 2hrs 11 minutes. I noticed several parties came after us and was seated. Every time I approached her she had this really annoyed look on her face and would respond with another 20-30 minutes. With such amazing food and wonderful service from our waiter I should be giving a 5 STAR. Unfortunately she has earned this 1 star review..

It’s good but somewhat overhyped. The first time we went was excellent. This time not so much. I’m not sure if it was the two huge parties of 10+ people that were in the restaurant for nearly 3 hours, but the food wasn’t as good as before. Was not worth the 60 minute wait. I’ll still go back, but maybe skip here if it’s a long wait and/or large parties of people are filling the restaurant.

Very much enjoyed our visit here. Had not been to this location in over a decade, and it didnt disappoint! The wait was a bit longer than we were told, but we did arrive at the busiest possible time. No worries, some benches out front aided in our people watching and the time passed quickly.Our server was very attentive but not intrusive. The fresh bread was a nice touch, although not served warm, which I found a bit odd.We shared the brussel sprout appetizer which under NO circumstance should be missed. Piping hot, full of flavor and a generous serving had us nearly full before dinner arrived!We each got a pasta dish and my prawns and scallops in a creamy vodka sauce was amazing. Wish I could eat it every night for a week!Adjacent tables had delectable looking dessert but we simply had no room left.Only criticism here was they pack so many tables into the restaurant that it feels too crowded. At 8:30 Pm on Monday we saw over 10 staff (6at the bar) and 10 (4 + 6) empty tables in two rooms (pictures) and WE HAD TO EAT AT THE BAR with a mini round table where not even two plates fit ???!! ^^The hostess been sending two people away to wait for 25! Minutes. The place was open until 9:30. While I was waiting in the line for few minutes, she was talking on the phone letting 4 people wait. After 10 minutes she offered us to order and eat at the bar. We ended up watching empty tables and first 4(picture), then 6 employed drinking their shakes and amusing themselves in chit chats at the bar. Who runs this business????One star for the small portion but very delicious Tortellini di Zucca - Pumpkin (22$) with great pesto sauce. We didn’t taste the pumpkin but the cream cheese.Unfortunately the spinach on the pizza was very little and dry out on the top. Typically pizza with spinach comes with either fresh spinach or sautéed garlic spinach on top plus the dough was barely salted.Another star for the classical interior design and ambience. Minus - light switches were not functional in two bathrooms and no hot water?And the last star for the nice waiter who brought us the forgotten phone on the street.The “upscale” pricey Italian that unfortunately does not deliver the upscale service.Still hungry: (

This is a must do when in Pismo Beach. No reservations just first come first serve. Unless you can find room in the bar then it is also full service there. We had to wait about an hour buuuuut so worth the wait. Top notch service and great food with house made pasta. We started with the Roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer, my wife had the Ravioli de Zucca and I had the Carbonara. So good! We will go back next time. Fresh and tasty 😋!

From the food to the service, Giuseppes is phenomenal. The moment the fresh bread and garlicky dip arrived, I knew this was going to be a special meal. I shared a Caesar salad to start; it was dressed with just the right amount, neither dry nor drowning. As my main I got the local wild halibut served in a delicious lemon butter sauce over a bed of parmesan risotto. My dining companion had only complements about the burrata ravioli. The only lamentation I have is I wish Id saved room for dessert.

I use to really love this place. It has become crawling with tourists more and more each year. Johnny the bar tender has given up. It’s often hard to talk well paid, well tipped bar tenders into serving you quickly or accurately. I use to love this place. But now Roth the long waits, poor service and attitudes of bartenders and management. I would recomes avoiding this place. Try a local place the wants and deserves your business.

You get a basket of freshly baked bread and an amazing bruschetta spread the moment you sit down. Thats how they do it in Italy and should be enough to show their authenticity, but pizza is where you can really tell: perfect consistency, perfect amount of cheese and toppings, and a nice thin crust (technically not the original pizza crust but my personal preference).Kind and professional staff and very reasonable prices for the quality of food and service ($49 for two pizzas and a clam chowder – I guess the bread refill was on the house? Lets not forget this is central California).One little detail I loved was the cup of crayons on every table. My mom would always ask servers for crayons when I was a kid so I wouldnt get bored while waiting for food, and these guys let you find them there already. Cute!

Driving from Los Angeles to Yosemite, we decided to spend one night at the Vespera Pismo Beach. We asked the staff to recommend a ‘less touristy’ place to have an evening meal. A short walk got us to a relaxed looking restaurant called Giuseppe’s. From outside, it looked quiet but as soon as we opened the door, we encountered a busy and welcoming restaurant. As visitors on vacation from the UK, we have eaten out many times but I can say that this is one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Chad, our server, was efficient, friendly and polite. Based on the volume of people in the restaurant, I thought there might be a long wait for the food but I was pleased to experience no delays and again, a very efficient service. The octopus starter was on par with any I’ve had in the Greek isles. If there was a 10 star option then I would be giving them that.

This place is AMAZING!!! Great lovely staff!! I love the way they sing happy birthday to the customers. We had about three servers helping us. Always refilling our drinks without having to track down anyone. The pasta tastes so homemade. It’s a little pricey but normal for an Italian restaurant. The dessert was amazing as well. I had the special, orange cake. He whip cream tastes like real vanilla ice cream. We had a group of nine and there was not much of a wait. All the staff was happy and very helpful(and we came right before closing). Thank you for a wonderful establishment!!

Absolutely worth the wait!I was sceptical of our hour and a half wait but we went for a walk down to the beach and back while waiting. On a Saturday night it was very loud and very busy but our server (and additional helper) were very attentive and nice.The food was excellent! The bread dip is amazing. The brussel sprout appetizer was my personal favorite, but I also enjoyed my scampi. My husbands chicken was delicious as well. Im not a huge fan of vanilla bean but the creme brulee was so good I finished the whole thing. My husband loved the Mud Pie.Overall I would definitely return, just on a weekday rather than weekend.

If we’d dined in, hopefully there would have been olive oil, salt, and fresh cracked pepper…It’s fine - but not worth the price and if we had waited 1.5 hrs for a table, I think we’d have been incredibly disappointed.Got the beet salad too - that was nice.Maybe we should have gotten seafood or something, but the classics were very basic.

We went here for our 21st anniversary. It came highly recommended from locals. When we first walked in it was decorated nicely and the hostess was very kind and welcoming. The bread and oil dip was fantastic, it had cheese and garlic with balsamic and EVOO, some of the best we have had. When our server finally came to us to get our drink and appetizer order she seemed very disinterested in us being there. After quite a bit of time of us getting and finishing our drinks and apps she came back for our food order. At this time we had taken advantage of the crayons and paper table cloth and written happy anniversary to each other. Even this didnt get a response of interest from her. Looking around we saw other servers engaged in the tables and people they had. It was unfortunate because the night was special to us and she made us feel like an after thought. My review would be 5 star if not for her.The food was very good, we had the stuffed mushrooms and split the lovers plate (after eating so much bread while waiting to order dinner) then each got dessert, Lemon Cheesecake and the cannolis. Would recommend for the food and by the look of other servers.

Very very good Italian food. The tortellini was phenomenal and the lasagna was very unique and fresh. All the food was made in house and it was very apparent. The quality of the food and service was absolutely top notch. Our waiter was extremely patient and gave very detailed and helpful insight into the menu. The desert was to die for as well. The only thing to consider is that there is almost always a long wait (sometimes and hour or more and they dont accept reservations, we waited 1:15 to be seated) but its absolutely worth the wait. Arguably the best Italian food Ive ever had. Would highly recommend it to anyone considering.

Fruit of the sea soup was completely overcooked and not edible, all the sea food was chewy and bland. The pork chop tasted frozen and under seasoned, it had a slap of marinara sauce on top to mask the bland flavor. We were incredibly disappointed. Called to make a reservation and learned that it is walk in based on first come first serve. So we ended up going in for an early dinner. We were hoping to be seated outside but were told its a 30 minute wait, so we ended up being seated indoors. We werent allowed in without a face mask even though our table was right next to the door. We also saw someone who was about to be seated outdoors go to his car and grab his mask. We were seated right away and the service was perfect. Authentic homemade Italian! The bread dip was amazing. A twist on traditional olive oil and balsamic, then they add parmesan and garlic and mix it up. The bread was fresh and made in house. I ordered the carbonara (one of my all time favorites and I love making it.) And it was amazing. Fresh made pasta was clearly made in house (I didnt even have to ask if it was) the bacon was thick cut and prepared perfectly. Carbonara can be heavy, and this dish was perfect, amazing flavor and not overly heavy . For a starter we had the bruschetta. Let me just just say... The open kitchen is buzzing with action even on a weekday evening and yet.. the ambience is very calming and has subtle lighting. Very knowledgeable waiter and floor staff busy but helpful. Corking fee is $20, even today that seems a bit pricey... $10 might be too old school though. (their glass of wine is generous!). A few months ago we had an incredible experience and great food at Giuseppies in Pismo and I gave them a 5 star rating. It can be read below.Went again last night (we are local) and the experience was awful. Upon arrival just before 5pm the restaurant was almost empty. They do not accept reservations. Because the other couple joining us was not present we were told we would not be seated until they arrived. I am 70 and my husband is 80. I am also disabled and have a knee replacement. I told the receptionist I found the policy very unwelcoming. She got the manager. He restated the policy but because I had a swollen foot he was willing to seat us in a back room that has cramped booths and a few tables that were occupied. There is also a small low bench for 2. With knee problems it is difficult and painful to maneuver into a tight booth or down and back up from a low bench...but those were the options. I resisted hoping our friends would arrive soon. While I stood in front of the reception stand the young receptionist told her coworker I was a witch or a b...tch. I am old but I have pretty good hearing. I told her I heard the remark and she was very unkind. I asked to speak to the manager again and took the seat in the back room. We had to ask for menus. Maybe I am a witch or maybe it is just the season...once seated a large black spider dropped from the ceiling onto our table...our friends arrived and tried to shoo the spider (see picture below). Because my friend fears spiders we had to move. We were seated in the bar which is incedibly noisy and had to yell to each other through out dinner. All that for $140.00 for 4 people. I told the manager I understand the impact of flipping tables quickly to maximize profits...but there has to be a customer service aspect to profits....and what about the appetizer and or drink we might order while waiting.A better greeting (especially for elderly customers) would be ...if part of your party is missing would you like to wait for them or be seated now. To the immature receptionist... if I truly am a witch I curse you with two bad knees, two bad ankles...and painful arthritis mixed with disrespect in your old age. Giuseppies earned 2 stars last night because the food was wonderful as always.Had the best dinner and desert at Giuseppes tonight. We have not been to Giuseppes for awhile and we are locals! The fire and the wait got in the way. Well we are going back again soon. Had the Lovers Plate which is 4 prawns, butternut squash ravioli, and sauteed squash. For desert the carrot cake made with marscapone is amazing.

So on my last night in the greater pismo/dunes area with my wife, 2 year old terror of a daughter, that we are working on breaking, and newborn son. Our server was very nice. The young lady that served water and/or cleared tables had zero personality. Slopped the water in glasses picked glasses up touching the rims.. The bread hard.. just not something we enjoyed. My spaghetti sauce was tasteless.. the chicken parmesan obviously had the same spaghetti sauce on it so again it was tasteless however my brother said his pizza was really good however, they brought pizza and there was no spinach on it as he ordered..so the guy took it back ..then our server came over with our meals and brought the exact same pizza out ..we said where is the spinach and she says oh they must’ve forgot ..by this time my brother said forget it. not a place we would visit again. From the UK here for a couple days. We were recommended Guiseppe’s by our Motel front desk, and it is by far the best recommendation we have ever had, the front desk were polite professional we waited at the bar where we were greeted with the most hospitable bartender, to be seated at our table and receiving bread and water without question to follow was the best calamari I’ve ever had (and I have had a lot!!!) followed by the best pizza I’ve ever had (and I have had a lot!!!) I just wish I had a bigger stomach for more but this is by far the best Italian restaurant I have been too, if you’re in Pismo or the surrounding areas and looking for a bite, look no further Guiseppe’s…. The greatest pizzeria of all time!!!!!!! Thank you for making my trip to the US special!

We were lied to about the expected wait time. No update where real information about the wait, we are informed and others that the wait will be 60 minutes but after 90 minutes still waiting. We left and coming back in front of the restaurant people arrived almost at the same time as we were still waiting. we recommend the Rosas restaurant located nearby and with great service and food

I ve had dinner here a number of times and am always pleased with the service, atmosphere and always great food, excellant dining experience. Unfortunately my fiancee and i had dinner with friends this past Sunday that wasnt as enjoyable as it always is. Had everything to do where they sat us, right next to the kitchen. It was so darn noisy it was difficult to have a conversation. Management should be wary of seating people here, to close to the kitchen to have a nice quiet meal and not being able too because of the noise from the kitchenThanks.

The employees are top-notch and the food is absolutely fantastic.I went in to buy gift certificates for my kids teachers for the end of the year and the three young ladies working the front counter where some of the friendliest people Ive ever had the pleasure. I had the Alaskan halibut and it was delicious and melted in your mouth. Also had the gelato with three generous scoops of yummy flavors. The service was excellent. You could sit inside or outside. Lovely evening with early dinner so sat outside. Very enjoyable and good food for my husband and I.

The restaurant looked nice. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It came with three large meatballs that were great tasting but the spaghetti itself was not good. The sauce was bland and the noodles were super thick and not good. They threw a few slices of bread with burnt edges in a large white paper bag. The bread had a gross taste to it. Would never go there again.

We dived into this restaurant because it was rainy and windy and we parked close. After we had a nice drink at the bar we were seated and had the fried seafood platter the shrimps were delicious. The clam linguine was delicious as well. Nice upscale atmosphere. We sat by the pizza chef and the ones he was making looked quite appetizing.

Well, if I knew I was going to do a review, I would have taken pictures; we ate it all. We are visiting from Texas. I’m doing this review because I absolutely love this place. The vibe is local and quaint. The house-made pasta was perfect… just firm enough. My son and I had the chicken piccata and tortellini Giuseppe. Both were amazing. Finished it off with the creme brûlée topped with raspberries. We are full and happy! We will be back!

Went to Giuseppes restaurant in pismo for some very good Italian food. I ordered the lasagna for my wife and I ordered the frutti di mare. It had shrimp,scallops,mussels,clams,fish,garlic,tomato sauce. Never had it before but it was very delicious. We also ordered the local zucchini blossoms. Very tasty and it came with 4 zucchini. And we had a bottle of Difronzo Pinot Noir wine with our meal. Very good meal and will definitely come back for something else on the menu.

Was there on a Saturday night right when they opened at 4pm. We were 3rd ones in the door, yet we couldnt even get a table in the bar area where there were at least 5 tables free. They said they were taken but they claim they dont take reservations.... But we were able to get spots at the bar. Shane the bartender was AWESOME! Super cool dude, very nice, and attentive. Ordered several drinks. The Flatline was delicious. Ordered Calamari as appetizer. Small portion and was ok. Originally was going to get the Chicken Parmigiano but Shane recommended the Pork Parmigiano. And it was AMAZING! Mash potatoes with it were great also.Be careful sitting at bar cause it gets very busy inside. You stand up to go to the bathroom and someone will try to swoop into your seat as soon as you stand up. So make sure you have someone keep your spot.

This is the best restaurant in 100 mile radius. Not fanciest, not the quietest… but best. Bustling, high energy, long wait (no reservations), scrumptious Italian pasta pizza (brick oven) appetizers and fish/chicken/ and a couple of steaks. Italian relatives from New York are flummoxed, can’t believe Pismo beach has a robust Italian restaurant. This, is, the one! Get your name down and stroll to the pier for 45-90 minutes to work up your appetite—worth the wait!

This is an excellent restaurant! Nothing trendy or cutting edge, but a welcoming neighborhood feel with Italian classics. I loved their bracciole. Its served with flavorful pasta and savory red sauce. The Cesar salad was great too. Even the bread served at every table was remarkable!The service was friendly and so were the other diners. The price isnt cheap but it reflects the quality of the experience. Unfortunately I live out-of-town so I wont be able to return anytime soon, but this will be the first place I go if I find myself in the area again. This is Italian comfort food at its best.

You have got to try the Pizza and the - Chicken Pesto was insane.After a long drive down the stunning Californian coast, we ventured out for some dinner and Giuseppes was a top choice given we werent looking for a seafood restaurant.We did have to wait about 20 minutes so we walked around and came back to find that our seat had been set aside waiting for us and not given away to any one in the line waiting.Service was great, very engaging but not over the top. Desserts were incredible as well (Creme Brûlées is a must).Great for singles, couples, dates or families. I highly recommend it.

This was my first time ordering anything from this restaurant. It was recommended to me, therefore I decided to visit. I ordered Fried Calamari and Shrimp which was very hard to chew and this tasted bad. I called the restaurant and spoke to Andrew about my situation. He responded with, “That is what you ordered!” In a very jestingly manner. Never did he apologize, nor explain my options until I asked for a refund. Even though, he said he was the Manager he still had to approve from Manager Jason. Andrew said he would call me back. On the other hand, I received my refund but was delivered the worse customer service. Olive Garden has friendly and professional customer service than this restaurant. This business should work on their staff. Never again.

My first time visiting the restaurant. I’ve heard such great things about the restaurant that I was so excited to experience great food myself.One positive thing I can admit is the Basil ravioli was AMAZING and the current wait was 10-15 mins for indoor seating due to the current pandemic.Upon our arrival we were asked to wait outside until our table was ready. It’s freezing, so I went and sat inside of my car as my spouse waited by the door to be seated. The hostess literally walked outside and flagged me down rushing me to come into the restaurant. Mind you my spouse didn’t even have the opportunity to tell me to get down from my vehicle before she was waving her arms in the air telling me to come on and had everyone turned watching me which rubbed me the wrong wayWe spent good money on all of the food we ordered all for my pizza to come out to be completely soggy that I couldn’t even eat it cause it fell completely apart. At this point I was already irritated because I was freezing cold as they had the front doors wide open and no heating inside, and now I’m starving with soggy pizza that I’m supposed to what scoop with my spoon?I understand you’re in a rush to have people dine in and out. But that was highly uncalled for. Not to mention as I was leaving you have two people who are waiting to be seated and you “assumed” they no longer want to dine in and tell them that you’re closed after they’ve been standing in the cold to be seated?Now that I want to speak with a manager there’s no manager available and nobody seems to be willing to answer the phones.Just absolutely rude and a terrible first experience.I will not be referring anyone anytime soon, especially after this experience I would absolutely hate to send someone else there.
