Friendly staff and delicious food. One of the best Mongolian BBQ restaurants in the Sacramento valley. My previous favorite was great wall on Howe Ave before it closed. GK is right up there in regards to quality and flavor.

Food is great. Nice sauces. Freshest options for Mongolian in the area. But grossly understaffed. I feel bad for the workers. One person for register, bussing, restocking, phones, Uber eats, and usually one cook. Owner is obviously gr editor a c*vk.

Local California Mongolian BBQ chain with good selection of vegetables, meet selection and sauces. The roseville location for dining in a nite is not super busy, and the staff has always been friendly in our visits.A Take out option is a good choice for these types of restaurants as you can make big bowls that you can finish.

Was extremely good! Way nicer than it used to be and great selection. My only complaint was they used the raw meat bowl to put my food back into when cooked. Ive never seen that in a Mongolian bbq place before!!

Default bowl is too small to put good selection of items because frozen meat takes so much room in bowl. to-go bowl is about right size. sesame oil doesnt have any sesame oil flavor

This was terrible. We love Mongolian BBQ and this was some of the worst we have ever had. The line was sloppy dirty, the service was terrible, and the people in line before us added crazy death peppers to their bowls which made ours so spicy hot it was inedible. We get that Mongolian places dont clean the grill between orders but in this case, it tanked the food. A very disappointing experience.

Delicious! Just discovered this restaurant last week. It was the first time visiting but wont be the last time. Friendly staff! Very clean establishment and the Mongolian Bbq I did was delicious! Nice variety of fresh foods. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite.Five+ stars. Cant wait to return!

Best experience! Very kind, accommodating and had excellent customer service. We stopped on a road trip near the closing time and they let us eat there while they were closing up. They source a lot of ingredients locally too which is awesome! 10/10 recommend

The food is very good, but the service is the main reason why I will be returning! All the staff is very nice, but Alan was especially helpful and pleasant to talk to. This is a new Mongolian BBQ that took over from what used to be Mongo GO-GO BBQ The owners retired to spend more time with family and perhaps do other things. Anyway, see.s timing is the key. Trying GK fornthe first time around 6pm, there was only 1 person at a table. We had 5 of us and then more families started coming in to have some GK.The hostest/server asked us for any drinks to get for us. Then after we sat down, we were given the options of included sides (plate of Cheese Rangoon, Crispy Wong Tongs and Fried Pot Stickers. Also included is a cup of Steamed Rice and cup of Soup. The selections for the veggies were minimal compared to the previous establishment. The sauce and the meat selection available are the usual. All in all, being serviced as we were, is excellent and the food was pretty good.With all that said, I will give a solid 5 stars rating for GK Mongolian BBQ that not only the service was spot on, the food delicious and for the fact that they are happy to honor veterans everyday.with a discount. Thank you so much GK. This is great.

Meat and vegies were fresh with plenty of choices, plump noodles just as I like them and plenty of tasty sauces. Service was efficient and appetizers/sides we’re waiting at our table when we arrived with our freshly cooked bowls. Two improvement points: 1. Ordered hot tea not knowing there was a charge for it. $3/tea seems steep for hot water and a tea bag. 2. We did not see a posted price for the bowls. An appetizer menu with prices is posted above the cashier but on a clear surface that is hard to read with afternoon glare. All said, I would/will return!

Really great food! I def recommend filling the guides when it comes to applying seasoning and sauces. I went for an early dinner and left totally full. Easily took down three bowls. Pro tip add meats and veggies to the bowl first then add noodles on top of it all.

Food had no flavor and I had raw pieces of meat in my bowl. One bowl costed about $17 which was not worth it at all. Had to drench my bowl in Sriracha and soy sauce for any flavor. The soup that they gave us tasted like it was a few days old. Don’t recommend coming here and wasting your money

It was okay. This was our first time here, usually we go to Sizzle Mongolian up the street. GK has similar price, the decor I like but the food? So so. They only have white rice which if we would have realized we would have left. Shame spending so much money and 2 of the 3 of us doesnt like white rice. Little frustrated. The server was good. The takeout boxes? They are paper, hard when you put lots of sauce in your bowl. Overall was okay but wont be returning.

I tried this place during covid and did not like it. But I gave it another shot last week and I really liked it, being able to choose my own sauces was definitely the key. I even took all of my family back over the weekend. The one in auburn is the best one ever but this one is walking distance from our house so well be there often.

Quite expensive but thats expensive for an all you can eat, per person its 17 bucks. You need to add a lot of sauce when you come here too, the teriyaki is a bit watered down but I recommend adding one scoop of each sauce for the best taste.

I would like to start with the positive, the noodles were great! amazing flavor, great service and very clean !! I love that you have to wear gloves to make your bowl. Now on to the changes I would suggest, If you want a bang for your buck, especially if you plan on bringing your family do not come here. The bowls are small in my opinion, and the free sides you get are rice or egg plant soup, and a potsticker. Why would anyone select rice with noodles, and egg plant soup sounds disgusting in my opinion. I suggest fried egg wonton skins, and veggie egg rolls like the other places we have been.

This place has all you can eat soup rice and potsticker signs thats NOT all you can eat. Its more like all you can eat in one bowl. Otherwise take another bowl and no leftovers for you, which is a waste of food imo. Plus they say no additional rice or potstickers without an extra charge. Ie you only get 2 per person. This whole place is backwards, instead of picking a seat they seat you where they want you. Instead of watching ur food being made they make u sit, ie less tips for the chef. This place was missing something; themes, style, music I dont know. Staff was very friendly and nice food taste was okay. I just didnt like the deceptions of the menu options.

Very clean, huge selection of items, but wrong noodles. They just have the thin small kind. I like the large fat noodles some places have. And they seem to have an absolute bizzare obsession with garlic. Lol two large 18inch/2 foot signs above the garlic. Like powered garlic here!! And then like in their Instructions for newbies they are like you MUST add garlic to your bowl, its a requirement!!! Hahah its a very bizzare unusual obsession. But my rating is because of the noodle type offered not the garlic obsession hahah ;) never have to worry about vampires there for sure :)

You cant go wrong being able to pick your own food with whichever sauce and additions you are in the mood for. And then having it served nice and hot at your table! The Brisk Tea was really good too. The staff work extra hard to make sure you are accommodated nicely. The only complaint I have is the atmosphere....the floors are ugly and the place itself isnt a great atmosphere. But, I sure am glad they survived this pandemic that hurt many restaurants. Lets bring them lots of business and they can remodel one day, hopefully, soon!

They have opened up for inside dining, they give food gloves for very diner. that makes stacking the food and compressing it into your bowl much easier, we had told them table for 2 when we walked in. by the time we got through the line packing our bowls they already had a table waiting with rice and drinks ready. the service was great. the food was amazing. word of the wise. pick meats and crush it into the bowl to get as much as possible. they charge per bowel so get as much as possible in it.

This Mongolian diner had a good first impression as the interior was well kept and decorated nice. The food is a buffet-style fill up a bowl and wait for them to cook it and it gives you plenty of options. The noodles seemed frozen and stuck together, and flavors felt off, but otherwise the service and experience was okay.

Extremely stingy and server has no sense of urgency. Cooked really slowly with 5 people waiting. There are many sauces, but they are watered down, with no taste.Be prepared to bring your own box if you have leftovers, they will charge 13$ for an extra box.

The new owners have done good things to this place. Its bright with a clean comfortable atmosphere. The food is fresh and the sauces are tasty. The staff is also helpful and friendly.I came here when it was under different ownership. The old place was dark and the staff was rude. I never even ate there because when we tried to we ran into the problem mentioned above.

The steamed rice was terrible. It was not cooked all the way. The cook dropped a bunch of my food and looked at me and said you didnt need that anyway! I also asked him for the shrimp that they offer in your bowl for an extra charge and he told me they could bring it to me later because he didnt have time. We never once saw them clean the grill and you could taste it and see it in your bowl. We will not be returning again.

Good and greasy mongolian grill, the kids here looked like they were having fun behind the classic big round grill.mind you if you fill two bowls full of your veg/meat/ noodle before the grill you will be charged for two, even if it fits into one after cooking. I was appalled at this, but lesson learned. Just go the normal route and pile that bowl high as you can, strategic bowl stacking will give you more than I got for the price of two! My guests proved it.

Quite different from the previous ownership, much more streamlined much less family owned feel.Lamb on request, is clearly written in small chalk 10 feet above your head on the side of the chalkboard.Other than that pretty standard for a mongloian bbq. I found some irony in a sign that said Mongolians like it spicy when they dont offer Kung Pao as a sauce. There is chili oil and jalapeños, but thats spicy for my children not an adult.Service was attentive, nice, and took care of us the whole time. Clean store as well.
