The garlic knot pizza is amazing, it reheats really well too. The inside is really fun and gives classic pizza shop vibes complete with arcade games. Theres seating inside and outside. The staff are really nice and they have cool stickers. A great spot for a casual pizza date! It quickly became a favorite for us.

I had an amazing experience at Gnarly Girls Pizza in San Diego! Their pizza is undoubtedly some of the best in town. The flavors were outstanding, and I especially loved the option to have garlic knots as a crust style – it added a delightful twist to the classic pizza. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was inviting. If you’re a pizza lover, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Super cool pizza spot with draft beers and cider! The Fred Flintstone or a keto bowl are my go to! When they have the banana pudding I cant help myself! The atmosphere is super cool! The owners are RAD and Paul is the MAN! Highly recommend!

This is by far the best thing I have ever eaten. The customer service is awesome and the portions are huge. I had an issue with my order the first couple times, but the manager was quick to replace the pizza and was very nice not to even charge me the last time. The food is a little on the pricey side but its worth it. You get what you pay for and I got heaven in a pizza box.

This was our first time here, and we wanted to try it because it’s very close to our house. I’m a New Yorker and pizza obsessed, and I’ve eaten it all across the country. I am in love with this place, and the food is fantastic. The garlic bites were perfect, and their pizza tasted terrific. They had enough sauce on theme, and the crust was cooked perfectly. The workers were very friendly, and it has a great 90s them. I honestly almost don’t want to post this because the secret will get out, but you should try it!

My last straw. I dont usually leave reviews. Food: been here 4 times (months apart) and it literally gets worse each time. Twice the beer has been flat/bad. Management is terrible. Service/professionalism is terrible.Food is terrible.recent visit with my girlfriend: an the guy who works in the front, I think his name is Patrick is very unprofessional and gives off privileged alcoholic vibes. He was drinking (once again), and nonchalantly and fairly loudly conversates with another customer and uses homophobic slurs to degrade another customer. Im never coming back to this place EVER. There are several better places in this area. This one is the worse in everyway.

Great pizza (toppings are plentiful and evenly spread out, dough is yum), amazing knots (being able to pluck them right off your pizza is 👌🤌), and other dishes we’ve tried have been great as well! Best of all- AMAZING service. Went to pickup our pizza order and there was an issue with the order. They not only re-made the pizza (perfectly), they gave us the “mistake” pizza too! AND we got a free dessert and soda while we waited. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

I live in Pioneer Ca and pizza is my favorite food, so when I tried Gnarly Girls pizza I thought this is some of the best pizza I ever had. Everytime after that when I visit my Son in SD, we go there. Just got back from NYC and ate pizza 4 times. Twice at restaurants and twice at places selling by the slice. They were good, but Gnarly Girls is Superior. Would have to put it in the top 3 best Ive ever had. So many varieties. And good selection of beer on tap. Owner and staff are always nice.

I was really looking forward to trying this pizza spot until I received very poor customer service. I entered gnarly an hour and 10 minutes before closing, asking to see a menu as my friends and I were going to dine in. The man behind the register was extremely blunt and rude, making me feel stupid as if I should have known their kitchen closes an hour before closing due to outside orders? Sorry-that’s not how a typical business works…No apology for the misunderstanding-no, please come back another time-it’s safe to say, his interaction with me left a sour taste in my mouth and don’t think I’ll ever be coming back to try Gnarly

Delicious pizza and cool atmosphere. It was pricey and parking was awful but I would visit again. The vibe was more of a slice shop but my takeout pie was ready quickly and tasted great when I got it home.

Everything about this place is superb! Patrick is the homie! The arcade machine is free! Bludacris is just about the only alcohol I drink now, and the Betty Boop pizza changed my life! Give these people more business!

Just searched the nearest pizza place and felt like I got blessed!!! The pizza was great. Loved that there theme here is the teenage mutant ninja turtles!!! Has a great mural. Seriously if you are in the SD area you gotta stop by for a slice. I recommend the pepperoni bacon and jalapeños pizza!! Btw they are fast!!!!

Its not the pizza fault, our the store owner fault its the guy in the front fault who said hes the owner of the store, whos disrespectful for kicking us out for no reason, 45 min for a meatball sandwhich and the guy was laughing at us with disrespect and after spending good money on your pizza and we would come in there 3x a week for it. Its a problem with the guy up front . My father and I love the pizza but the rude cashier up front needs to be replaced. The cook and young kid is very professional and polite but not the European guy who threatened to fight me outside the store for no reason when we didnt do anything wrong. Ordered from here after seeing a video posted on TikTok. Cool atmosphere and artwork inside and out. They have a Ninja Turtles arcade game, fountain drinks, and pre-made slices. Garlic knot pizza was to die for.

This was a perfect pizza shop experience. The person at the counter and the person running out the pizzas were so attentive and pleasant. We got a salad and 1/2 &1/2d the pizza with Fred Flintstone and Hungry Hippo which was really good. The decor was fun and set up the comfort of the establishment.

We ordered Gnarly Girl for a catered lunch event in-office.Mel was responsive, easy to work with, and the food was GREAT!Everyone raved about the pizza, and even more notable, was the delivery was ON TIME! Our team takes lunch at specific times, so ensuring lunch is delivered hot and on time, is VERY important.The garlic knots, cauliflower crust pizza, and NY style slices were a fan favorite from our luncheon. The crust was thin, and the toppings were perfect. We cant wait to get pizza catered again from Gnarly Girl!Thanks for a great luncheon!

Delicious NY style pizza. Got the Hungry Hippo and some garlic knots. Pizza was really tasty — all the ingredients were great! Everything seemed really fresh. It was a bit sloppy to fold, but that’s probably because of all the toppings making the dough moist. Garlic knots were good, but need more garlic IMO.They have a bunch of pizza available by the slice as well, and a solid variety of drinks on tap.The TMNT and 80s NYC vibes/aesthetic is dope! Highly recommend. This place is for sure a perfect 5/7.

Complete waste of time. The vibe was wrong from the beginning and after clarifying several times what I was ordering, they still managed to bring out the wrong order while being the only customer there. Their beer pours are also 75% of a pint. Will never go back there again.

Delicious pizza! We tried all of the vegetarian options, each one was great. Our favorite was the mushroom ricotta. They run slice and drink deals, too. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I got the Fred Flinstone Pizza. It was a great choice if you love meat lovers styled pizza. The service there was very friendly and accommodating! All in all it was super delicious and we’re definitely eating there again! 10/10 YUMMY

If you like delicious pizza, great beers on tap, all served in a rockin’ atmosphere (with awesome, decades-spanning music) then Gnarly Girl is your place!The first time my lady and I ate here we grabbed a couple lunch specials, which for $10 can’t be beat, and marveled at how the place wasn’t completely packed. I feel like it’s a hidden gem right now, and once more people get to know about it big things are going to happen for the eatery.P.S. Treat yourself and get a pizza bowl here. It’s a fantastic take on a low carb pizza, and a total steal for it’s price.

Gnarly Girl pizza is one of the best spots in University Heights/ North Park. The PB&J is one of my favorites! The prices are really too good to be true. Good beer selection and love the ambience! The owner/ head chef, Melissa, is such an awesome human. 10/10 would reccommend!

Great food! Great value! Great drink selection!I wanted to try something a bit different, so my sister and I got the BBQ chicken pizza, and then tk be extra decadent, we got it with the garlic knot crust. When the pizza came out.to us you could SMELL the garlic, and the people next to us were just audibly jealous of our crust induced hedonism. Hands down was the best chicken pizza Ive had land Ive had some pretty great Thai chicken pizza).The zeppoli were also a great treat! They.came out tasting almost like a freshly fried donut, and the blueberry flavored cider was jist an extra treat on top of everything else. Cant wait to try their grilled cheese and tomato soup flavored pizza - our neighbors had that and they really enjoyed it!

I had a couple slices (grilled cheese and tomato soup- so good) and they were cooked perfectly and service was fast. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Some of them have some pretty rad names like Hungry Hippo (the supreme) which is what I had along with just a good ol plain cheese slice. All the toppings were plentiful and in nice balance. It wasnt overwhelmed with excessive black olives and peppers. The cheese slice was nice and gooey and melty. The slices are a very respectable size, definitely big and foldable like an East Coast style. The garlic knots are very good as well. Just the right amount of butter and garlic. I probably could eat a dozen of em pretty easy. I would highly recommend popping in for a brew and a slice at a minimum.

Pizza is on point. Thin crust, delicious sauce and cheese, with many topping options. It’s also a fun place to eat. Located across the street from the La Fayette hotel, so if you’re staying there it is walking distance and worth it.

The Fred Flintstone is just so meaty, the forget about it feels like a pizza lasagna, the buffalo chicken tastes like a chicken wing and the wings are amazingly cooked and are giant... Definitely recommend over and over again!!
