Ordered Vada Paav, Pani Puri and Paao Bhaji - didn’t liked the Paao Bhaji at all, never seen such coloured bhaji in my life. Others were average.

Good place to have Indian food. Service was fast. Staff is polite. One has to order at the cash counter. Menu is stuck to the counter table.Bombaiya Dosa was quite filling. They have Chickoo/Sitafal Milkshake. It is good but quatity is equivalent to small size of mango lassi. Overall a nice restaurant.

It was Saturday afternoon and we were out shopping when we decided to have lunch at this place. This place is cool with Indian food as you get everything almost under one roof. Whether its North Indian, South Indian food or street food from cities such as Bombay (Mumbai), Delhi, you can have it here. The taste of food is close to home and the staff is really very helpful and courteous in service. They do take out and catering requests besides serving in house. I ordered Dahi bhalla papdi chaat, sweet and spicy filled with proteins as it has sprouts and chickpeas with tamarind chatni and yogurt. We also ordered plain dosa and masala Dosa. It was nice and crispy. Whenever youre in doubt about what to eat, this place has pretty good options to select from.

Great place to have Indian food. The taste is authentic. Every food item we ordered was hot and tasty. We had Samosa, Paneer Parotha & Dry Gobi Manchurian. It was crowded because of the Friday eve. Go during evening, order any hot food and enjoy the moment. Many restuarent options around this place so its our favorite spot.

I got the Manchu Ping Pong with Manchurian sauce because thats the name of my cat but it was too much ginger for my liking. I might try it with Hot Garlic sauce in the future. Visited with wife and some friends and ordered veg Biryani, Idli Vada sambar and Dosa. Taste was so good and spice level was perfect 😍. The staff were courteous and the ambience was friendly, casual, and inviting (suitable for families, office lunchers, old and young alike). Gobi manchurian (dry) was soggy and bland. Tasted like it had been prepared hours ago and microwaved. Not crispy or uniformly cooked. Chow mein noodles were over cooked and dry - I could have done better at home. Honey potatoes were interesting but undercooked. Dosa was the best option. Overall such a disappointment - uninspired food that wasn’t worth the cost or the indulgence. Restaurant needs to up its game if it wants to raise its review rating.

Update 2022Ordered Mysor masala dosa with filter cofeeMysor masala dosa was served with sambhar, coconut chutney, mint cilantro chutney and tomato chutney.All chutney were delicious and fresh.Potato filling was delicious and had peas and other veggies. Very flavorful. Potato masala portion could be better.Dosa crepe was bit dry to my liking but was crispy and Mysor chutney inside was good. If it would have been made with butter of ghee, it could have been better.Chutnies were the star of the show.Filter coffee was good but bit stronger to my tasteOverall good eating experience.Place was clean.Water served was not cold and container was not very clean.One the worst eatry experienced in my life. Sat for 20 minutes waiting for simple aloo prantha and when it arrived, found no stuffing but thin layer of onion masala paste in thick half cooked dough. The food is decent but the service is very poor. Something as simple as a vada Pav took 40 mins to make. We ordered early to make sure it’s ready for a pick up however they made us pay upfront and then made us wait for 30 mins. Extremely disappointed with the service.

A really good place that we have been frequenting for sometime now. Wouldnt call super great but its good food for a really good price. The chaat items are good and the bread varieties are okay. I tried their thali and the subzis and rotis were good. The schezwan fried rice lacked a bit of flavor and came by itself. No sides. But overall really good place for that quick dinner or a really quick bite at a pocket friendly price!

Too much salt in the food? - thats our standard said the staff.There was way too much salt in our food and when we told the guy at the counter, his response was let me check in the kitchen. He came back after 5 mins and said - thats our standard instead of admitting the mistake. Never going to this place again. This was at 7PM on Oct 22.As you can see from the picture the Manchurian looked like it has been sitting all day and was not fresh at all and tasted bad. We didnt even complain about that but the amount of salt made it inedible.

I recently ordered food from this restaurant while out in Fremont for a procedure. Reviewing their menu, there were more than the usual selection of Indian fare for vegan options. That was really nice to see. The flavors on the items I ordered was nice and the portions were generous. Two issues I had were the curry paste clumps in the biryani as it was not incorporated well and it was really salty. I think using a little less would’ve been fine. The only improvement I have for this to be perfect is the sodium level. The biryani and the Chana I ordered were both very salty. The Baingan Bartha was really nice. Aside from that, overall, it was a good tasting experience and I would order from here again if I’m in the area.

I was not impressed with this place at all. I was so excited because of all the reviews I had seen but it was disappointing not having the potato filling in one of my dosas. Ive had the same dosa at other places and it always comes with the filling. The potato filling was nothing special, the green and red chutney werent good either. Ordered Idli and they didn’t give me a sambar. When I asked for it, they brought a what looked like days old sambar which was extremely thick. Idly didn’t have salt at all and chutneys were just taken out from frozen. I may have written a good review for this restaurant a while back, but has a very disappointing experience today. The quality has gone down drastically. Ordered South Indian thali, chow-Merican chopsuey, pasta makhni, king kachori spicy, masala dosa, Gobi manchurian and chole batura. In South Indian thali we got chole batura, burnt cabbage and ras malai, which was unexpected and ruined the experience. The chopsuey has a watered down tomato sauce like thing with mostly dry noodles and partially cooked rice. Dosa was burnt and kachori was mostly sweet and very cold. Don’t plan to go there again. The manchurian (dry) had mostly ketchup taste. Giving an extra star as makhni pasta was not bad.

Went to this place recently and felt like why they even put things in the menu which they dont know how to make. Their lacha paratha was a plain parantha that too under- cooked. Kadai Paneer was not good at all. Veg Manchurian was so under cooked. Also we ordered soup which they did not served even after we finished starters and main course, and when we asked to cancel the soup when I went to pay, they said since you ordered you have to take it to-go.The only item which was edible was their samosa chaat, for which Im giving them 1 star.

Long wait, average taste and WORST staff 😡This is by far my worst experience from an Indian restaurant in bay area. There were multiple things that went wrong. Firstly, I was in a rush so I asked them before ordering if I could get something fast. The person at the baling counter didnt tell me anything clearly. I ordered Thaali, assuming that it might be easier to get coz they can pick and choose which curries to give. Then they ask me which curries do you want, and then I told them pls give X and Y. Not sure what was wrong, they couldnt figure out if they can actually offer me that. I wait for 10 mins just to get the order placed. Then after an annoying 25 odd mins, when I am already annoyed waiting for my food, they give me 2 thaalis and 2 extra curries which I had initially chosen for the Thaali. Of course that costed me double the $. The guy who is at the billing is a complete jerk. He is always on his phone and doesnt listen to the customers at all. Since I was in a rush, I couldnt eat the food so I had to get a to-go for everything. I was also a bit sick that day and this whole experience added to my pain so much so, that I had to write this review. Please be careful when you visit this place. There is no option for 0 stars else I would have. 🤬😡

Very good variety of Indian vegetarian snacks and tiffins. Couldnt try their fusion varieties as we were there a bit ahead of the lunch time, only breakfast items were served. Worst experience ever!!! The waiters couldn’t speak enough English to take our orders so they didn’t even put in the order for my food at all. It seems common sense they would know that I ordered something. Then the food didn’t come for literally an hour and I had to ask where my food was. We were asking for the bill to just leave without the food when they brought it and they didn’t even give us a discount. Not to mention the food was terrible. We only ate half our dishes. Tl;dr Avoid this place if you want to be safe - the workers arent wearing masks and washing hands properly, and have very bad/rude service while over charging for items.I went there a couple of days ago for a pickup order. First, they let me and another person who was there for pickup wait for so long because the one customer service person they had preferred to answer phone calls (even the ones that came in after we arrived there) over helping the customers who are in the shop.Second, when I gave my credit card to pay for the order that sole person helping customers charged it but didnt give me any receipt. I assumed he would have charged the right amount, but luckily I immediately got an alert from my credit card company notifying me of the charge which seemed higher than expected. There were a couple of menus on the tables up front so I quickly checked and confirmed what I was expecting was right and I was indeed over charged. When I brought this to the attention of the person there, he very rudely said this is old menu without showing any new menu with new prices. He came to argue with me and the other person present there without wearing his face mask properly (it was just hanging under his chin). I even requested him to wear his face mask before coming closer or talking towards us, but he completely ignored us.While waiting for my order I saw 2 more employees - one inside the kitchen who wasnt wearing any mask or gloves of any sort, and another behind the counter packing food for pickup/delivery orders and his mask was also hanging under his chin leaving his mouth and nose exposed, and he wasnt wearing gloves either.Given the utter lack of hygiene I saw there I just couldnt get myself to eat the food I over-paid for and I ended up throwing it just to keep myself and my family safe. PLEASE STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.

Food is tasteless. Having a fancy place does not necessarily mean the food is good. I had a mysore masala dosa and could not go through it completely. It was bland and soggy and not cripsy at all and the masala was cooked half way and was tasteless. The sambhar seemed old hence might have lost out on taste and flavor. Not going there again. This is an amazing restaurant! The food is very delectable and scrumptious. In fact, I would recommend the veggie fried rice - it tastes exactly the way I want it. Everything always tastes fresh. A chole bhature we had ordered did not turn up for the entire hour we were there and we ultimately cancelled the order. I can not understand why this place’s average rating is so low. I didn’t originally plan on going here, but ended up walking in because I smelled it from the parking lot on the way to Philz. But holy moly we were blown away by the kindness of the staff and amazing food. It wasn’t too expensive either. This review is just for their weekend buffet breakfast. If you come before 9:30 am, it is the best thing that can happen to you. If you come around their buffet closing time, it is the worst thing that can happen to you. A great variety of food, including about 8 kinds of dosas, vada, idli, pongal, uttapam, paratha, puri, a couple of sweets and tea. The quality of the food deteriorates as it gets crowded and towards the end of the buffet, the dosas go from looking crisp and fresh to pieces of blankets wrapped in spices/toppings, and taste as the looks as well.

I moved to the Bay Area from NY and stumbled upon this restaurant while I was driving around. I was pleasantly surprised by the awesome food and lively atmosphere. On my first visit I ordered Chaat Platter and Papdi Poppers and instantly fell in love with the authentic taste and aroma of spicy flavors that you only find in select places in India. The service was excellent and the waiter was friendly and made me feel welcome. I have come back to Go Chaatz few more times and also brought my friends. I have tried their Gobi Manchurian, Masala Dosa and Paneer Chili Chow. Everything that we have ordered here seems to be made with care and dedication with lots of attention to detail. Ordered dahi bhella papdi chat and aloo pyaz stuffed paratha.. Didnt like both.. Aloo paratha is worse.. Papdi chat ok ok.. I may not visit again. Sorry guys..

Worst food and service! Waited 20mins for someone to get our order then forever to get our food. Chaat Bhavan has 100% better service and food.
