Go Go Japan Sushi & Bento in Oceanside

I’ve lived in the East Coast & Mid-West so when I came to town for the weekend, all I wanted was some sushi. I was recommended Go Go Sushi by my hosts & was pleasantly surprised to be served just about the largest Poke Bowl I’ve ever had.The Chef was nice & it was delicious. It was a tad sour towards the bottom (maybe a bit too much vinegar) but whatever, I ate it all!!! It was only $17 and I was impressed.Thank you to the staff for their hospitality to a first time visitor to Oceanside.

You want good sushi that will leave you stuffed, there are many places for that. You want great sushi that will leave you very satisfied and ready to enter a food coma if you decide to try to finish what youre served in one sitting, then this is the place to go to. Let this serve as forewarning... seriously bring an appetite as you will get a lot of food for your money compared to other food sushi places.I personally recommend the sushi cupcake or any combination for the bento boxes. My kids loved their crispy chicken (basically chicken kaarage), shrimp tempura, and the gyoza. I was hoping to have room after my first sushi order to try out a variety of other rolls, but I had to tap out just after finishing half of my sushi cup cake order.This is a family owned restaurant, and the owners are very friendly and welcoming, and a lot of their Japanese-stylized paintings were done by their daughter. Overall the atmosphere was warm and cozy. If you are ever in the Oceanside, CA area, do not miss out on this hidden gem! Now that my family has found it, we are definitely coming back!!!

Honestly the best & most fresh sushi I’ve had in the area and I’ve tried them all! Great portions, great prices & the staff has always been great every time I come. If I could give GoGo Japan 10 stars I would!

This quaint place has been at this location for over 20yrs and it is my favorite! The food is always fresh and delicious. I cant believe they still have the Thursday night specials at the same price!🤩 Thank you GoGo Japan! Highly recommend!

White mushrooms were the highlight! Was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Only thing the crunch roll wasn’t very crunchy. Still I’m coming back :-p

I got one of the sushi lunch combo and its pretty fresh. I also like that it came with gyoza and edamame which is pretty rare with lunch combos. They have a wider selection compared to the normal Japanese restaurant so Im interested in trying some of their other offerings in the future based on what I experienced.

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years and I love it. I started coming not even liking sushi but I slowly started trying new things and fell in love. Great service as well!

We always have exceptional service and the food is always amazing. They have great deals throughout the week. We definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner

This restaurant service is very good. friendly Food prices and quality are worth it. The only downside is that the menu has too many items. Sometimes confusing takes a long time for selection. But overall this is my favorite Japanese restaurant.

Frequently ordering from this establishment . We love sushi and they offer very reasonably priced pretty wide variety of rolls and many other items But rolls are definitely favorite . Not high end sushi but casual and delicious . Thanks Go Go Japan! We enjoyed it 🤩🍣🍱
