I am so excited to have a Mongolian BBQ in Santa Cruz area! Buffet style and fill your bowls with as much as you can pack in! Great food, lots of food and sauce choices! Buffet style seating which was very clean with great service! Pro tip is add the noddles on last as they are easiest to stack on top.

Great value, good food. Everything is chill here, you get exactly what’s advertised and it’s in a great area of downtown. The food is straight forward pan Asian food, cooked in a flattop. Come ready to eat, you will leave full!

We had a great time eating there. All the ingredients were fresh, and the plate you create for yourself is delicious. There are choices of rice or soup and a yammi vanilla ice cream for desert. The team is very attentive and are happy to explain and assist. Highly recommended!

Great, fairly inexpensive food. You get to pick exactly what you want in your dish. Ive been three times now and will be going back again. One of my new favorites in the downtown Santa Cruz area.

Great service, tasty food and free ice-cream!! You can assemble your own bowl that the chefs will cook for you on their specialty Mongol iron grill. They guide you to put the right (number of ladles) amount of sauces to your tolerance of spice level- so go ahead and indulge !

Was good. A bit more expensive than I was expecting but it was worth every cent. Fyi you dont need to get noodles there is rice by the window in a big rice cooker if you prefer. Also free ice cream? Nice touch. All the people that worked there were very friendly and helpful but all of the other customers were slobs and couldnt stop spilling food, be a little self aware and clean up after yourselves and stop making extra work for these employees.

We dont go downtown anymore but happened to be out bike riding and cut through town. We saw this new place and came back to check it out. The food is good, the employees are very nice and its clean.

Good food! Classic Mongolian barbeque style buffet. The place leaves a lot to be desired atmosphere wise (cheap seating, no decor, and random tvs), but I put in my ear buds, selected a Mongolian music playlist, and it instantly improved. BYOA. (Bring Your Own Atmosphere).

We are excited about this new quick and easy lunch/dinner spot downtown! Its fun to fill up your bowls with your favorite mix-ins, and then they cook it in front of you on the giant grill. Everyone is friendly, and they keep the place very clean. There is also free rice, soup, wontons, and soft serve ice cream for dessert! The ice cream is very good, and a nice little treat after your meal. Its a lot of food, and a great price at $18 a person, flat— Plus you can take home leftovers :)

3/14/23 it was alright. ive had Mongolian bbq before. its nice to see one in SC. really good if you definitely know what youre doing. take a bowl fill it up to your desire and bam. its an alright joint but be prepare to what you want.

If youve never had Mongolian style bbq before, try it. Theres some hacks, like stacking your veggies laterally, only going for shrimp, etc. But youll get 2 bowls, one for noodles, so dont try to feed the whole family for one price. The sauces are good, plenty of heat, garlic and soy sauce. Know your limits on spices. The free desert and won tons come in handy if you go too much on Sriracha.

It was alright but not as much variety compared to their mall food court competitors. They use sooo much water while cooking it was more like the whole thing was steamed/boiled than sautéed. The little sauce recipes are cool but it should be clearer you need add a TON of sauce if you don’t follow the recipe. Again with the mall counterpart you only need about one or two scoops of sauce. The process on paying was kind of bizarre and unclear, I’m surprised people aren’t eating and walking out. It would make a lot more sense to pay BEFORE you eat vs telling them what you had…I liked that they had rice, wontons and soup that was a fun added bonus.

This is a such great restaurant that I recently found in Santa Cruz downtown, perfect location right at the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, there are tons of restaurants and this one is amazing! Brand new modern atmosphere, fresh, quality and a variety of foods, well there’re also beers and sake available, There are 3 of us, my 10 year’s old included, we had food and juice for my little one also, and they are so tasty, servers are very friendly and helpful, they guide us to the right spot, prices are reasonable, 15.99 for lunch, diner and weekends 17.99, my 10 year old, pays only 7.99! Worth to try!!!!!BTW, price is for 2 bowls one trip, but enough for us!

Highly recommend. Delicious sauce combinations. I recommend creating the teriyaki with a scoop of chili. Complementary rice, soup and ice cream. If you cant finish you can take it to go, which is nice.

For dinner its not all you can eat (contrary to literally every other Mongolian BBQ place), they charge you more to press down on the meat. Yes, you read that correctly, they charged me $6 to press down on the meat, so I could put more in the bowl. Ive never heard of this practice and is the cause of my not coming back. The service was poor, we had to wait to pay, and the staff seemed less than interested (the main host was on his phone and then went outside to stare at women walking by. . . gross).I think most of the issues with this place can be forgiven, except for charging $6 more for pressing down meat, especially during dinner service. I would go so far as to recommend driving to San Jose for Mongolian BBQ if you have the craving- I dont want to support this business practices.edit: The value just doesnt seem to be there; for reference, most other Mongolian BBQ places will charge you the same price or less for all you eat.
