2023-08-08 07:11:56What an experience! This was my husband and I’s first time here and didn’t know too much what to expect. The standout plates for us were the braised ribs and pizzas! We ordered 5 dishes, 1 dessert and a sake.We came in on a Saturday for dinner with no reservation. We initially were told we were going to be seated at the bar but ended up getting a regular table, which was great. It was pretty busy so we’ll do a reservation next time. Most of the seating is traditional where you take your shoes off. There were also a few private rooms.Staff was attentive and made great recommendations. The manager(possibly) came to check on us a few times, she was really sweet!Sure this place is a little pricey but you also get a fun experience. Would be a great place for celebrations and groups of friends. We can’t wait to come back and try more plates!

2023-10-08 19:01:06Gochi has a good atmosphere and service. Out of all the dishes, I enjoyed the Sirloin Steak. I felt the other dishes could use more seasoning or a kick. There arent any options for you to enhance the flavor if needed. The Tori Soboro Meshi was a dish I wish came out sooner. It is a ground chicken claypot, that is good for those who prefer lighter meals. We got this near the end of our meal. I couldnt find anything salty though to compliment it even if it did come out a bit earlier. We tried several like the Yuzu Ceviche, Kani Cream Korokke, and Mentai Kinoko, but they didnt hit the savory craving I had. They have a take off your shoes rule. The restaurant has a traditional tatami mat style aesthetic. Servers gave water refills at regular intervals.Overall, I wouldnt come back since I prefer savory dishes. The novelty of the atmosphere is a plus though. If you or your group enjoy light to mild foods, this is a good spot. Would highly recommend putting in a reservation though since it gets crowded quickly.

2023-08-03 17:34:43They have pretty good food, I mostly liked Tan Katsu (panko crusted beef tongue, hatcho miso sauce ) and Yellowtail carpaccio. The sitting is authentic, Japanese style tables or sort of cabins. But the service is odd, a friend of mine had her birthday and they even refused to serve a b-day ice cream/cake/creme brûlée. Our evening was great even without it, but my impression of the place was ruined

2023-08-11 03:34:46Really really enjoyed my time at Goggi Cupertino. Loved the low tables and the shoes off policy. Would highly recommend the clay pot rice, especially the Tori Soboro Meshi 😋The egg blending everything together made this dish amazing 😻Would definitely come back in this very cozy Japanese restaurant 🇯🇵

2023-07-30 03:36:20Their clay pots NEVER disappoint! Really good rice flavor and crust, and their pizzas are good too. Highly recommend! I took the photo a bit late so some of the food had already been eaten.

2023-06-22 02:34:25The food dishes were hit and miss. The hits were really good. We enjoyed the pork katsu, hamachi carpaccio, and green tea creme brulee were all excellent. The staff did a good job. We will try this place again for their other dishes.

2023-09-03 02:50:09Food is just ok but over priced with a small portion. What kind of luxury rice that cost $3.5 for a small bowl and its not even full? Also I gave the atmosphere one star as its so hot and makes everyone in the table sweaty.

2023-01-21 17:08:51Overall great fusion restaurant and atmosphere, they even have more traditional style seating. This place is good for large groups looking to split a lot of dishes. The salmon clay pot and hamachi were definitely the standout dishes over the fried foods, but all the dishes were well made.

2022-10-13 13:34:22One of the popular Japanese fusion restaurant. I think it is a tapas place, because of the size of the dishes :)Almost all the dishes we tried are great. Name some below:Assorted Sashimi: about 8 different fishes, 2 piece of each fish. All of them are fresh and delicious 😋Clay pot rice: must try. Just stick with the small pot, I think it is enough for 4 people 🍲Fresh oysters: this is seasonal, ask the staffMake sure to make a reservation in advance. The front door is kind of low profile, easy to miss.
