Had the peanut butter chicken! I’m always in search of this dish and they did it wonderfully. Could use a little more sweetness but that’s just my preference and I see how some people may not want that. Spoke with the owner and his partner and they were both very kind and helpful! Huge portions - I probably could get 2-3 meals out of the peanut butter chicken/crab rangoons. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again.

I really liked the shrimp rolls because of the texture and the flavor it was really good and different from what I’ve tasted and other restaurants don’t really have shrimp rolls. The chow mein was also a really good meal to eat

There was eight of us that came in for lunch on a Sunday and I am incredibly grateful for their hands-on service and for honestly being very kind for what was a family meeting of sorts. The lady there really helped ease the tension and honestly when she asked questions and kind of prompted the conversation to stay optimistic. I truly appreciate that. The food portions at least in regards to the super huge and honestly we had more than enough food. Thank you very much for helping this family gathering be a positive one.

I had the honey walnut prawns with fried rice for lunch today and it was very yummy. It came with an egg roll and it was very crispy. Pairing it with the hot mustard or the sweet and sour was great. Overall a good experience.

Best Chinese restaurant in town! Great food and I think I have tried almost everything on the menu. We make a trip to Gold Chopsticks almost every week to enjoy the food and great service. Love these people and their food.

I only like 2 Chinese restaurants in Pleasanton and this one is tied with the other one!Never been here even though Ive been here for years but decided to try it out and it did not disappoint.The fried rice had a nice smokey flavor to it, the chow mein was delicious really liked the hot and sour soup and the orange chicken too!Will have to come back to try more items!

The Best. Absolutely fantastic, a hidden restaurant that’s been here for more then 15 years. It’s family run and deserves 100x the attention it has right now. Restaurants near here like fiery Shanghai and such are nothing compared to this. Got to know the family and they are authentic and great cooks. Cheap for the portions and great service.

Honestly, probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Pleasanton. I always remember the tasty food for months. Lunch is a great value and enough for a meal and then another, if you eat light. Everything we ordered was awesome! Gold Chopsticks is now our family favorite.We ordered through Grubhub and will call them directly next time. We ordered War Wonton Soup, Tomato Beef, Combo Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Singapore Vermicelli, Salt and Pepper Fish Special.The customer service from Gold Chopsticks was refreshing, they called immediately after our order to time our pick up so our food would be hot. That one thing made us repeat customers.We are grateful that we can support this business and we hope they stay open and thriving.

The food here is so delicious. I first found this on Yelp and it is so delicious and comparable to my favorite SF restaurants. I moved here during covid, and found this spot and it has been the best food. I ordered takeout the first time, but decided to see if I could dine in today and that was the best choice! The staff are so friendly and nice and the food comes fast and tastes great. I ordered chicken chow mein, beef chow fun, Mongolian beef, and salt n pepper pork chop. The ratio for noodle to onions and sprouts is wonderful compared to most places. So many noodles with a good handful of extras. The meat and veggies ratio is great too! I look forward to returning every time to satisfy my cravings!!

We had the sesame chicken and orange chicken along with stir fried chicken noodles and shrimp fried rice. The food was delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant was also a pleasant setting to eat at. We had a water spill and the waitress even came and cleaned it all up. The food was affordably priced and I would highly recommend this place to anybody.

Today I had the combination soup that I have had many times and enjoyed. I have not been there in 8 months and i will not be going back. That broth was cloudy and tasteless. The noodles were rubbery. Just plain awful. Little else to say about it. For $15 and some change really?

I ordered food from this Chinese restaurant tonight. Last week I delivered someone elses food via doordash, and the food that I delivered was very hot and it smelled delicious. I love hot food so I decided to order from them tonight. I spent $50.00 and the food wasnt hot and it didnt smell very good. The ribs looked appetizing, and the sauce that goes over the pan fries noodles. I called to let them know that my food wasnt hot nor did it taste good. The cook told me that he think its a lie, because he cooks the food.Maybe they cook the food fresh for the people that they know. I wont go back. The food is not good... Trust me! Im a Chinese food and sushi conosuor-- I know good food when I taste it!

The food was delicious, especially the fried rice and chow mein. Only negative thing about the restaurant was how I was treated by one of the waitress. It was my first time coming here, didnt know too well the menu. The waitress was a bit impatient with me and wanted me to hurry up and pick something. When asking a question regarding the lunch, had a sort of an attitude. Other than that, I really enjoyed the food, and am planning to go again. Thanks!

Yum ! went in today for lunch and I have to rate this place pretty high on local Chinese food. I had Chow Fun with chicken. I asked them to make it super spicy and garlicy. They delivered perfectly! Nice white meat and biiiiiig portions. Came out steaming hot and they used a lot of seasoning on every part of the lunch. Plus we all received soup, salad and an egg roll even if you did not get a lunch special. I will be coming here again and probably trying one of their other soups or some of their other noodle dishes. (:

Gold Chopsticks is one of our go to dinner spots. Foods always on point with good size proportions and services is super friendly. Made the mistake of ordering via DoorDash once and a bit too pricey for my taste. Will either eat at the restaurant or pick it up the good ol fashion way moving forward.A few of our favorites are their veggie chow mien, sesame chicken, and beef & broccoli. Will see y’all soon. 😋

We ordered food on Christmas Eve and were told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. We were fine with that. We went to pick up about an hour, when we were told our food would be ready. We ended up waiting another 40 minutes. Got home and then I found a hair in my food. The last time we got take out there, I found a piece of glass in my food. Needless to say, we will no longer go there.

Definitely not coming back to this place! The server was rude and demanded a $20 tip. She didnt even bother to come check on our table from time to time i literally had to yell across the restaurant to ask for service. On top of that she questioned with attitude why we didnt want to leave a tip which she had already included in our bill.

Worst experience Ive ever had at a restaurant, take-out or otherwise. I Googled Chinese restaurants near Pleasanton as Im a Pleasanton resident. I clicked on the Gold Chopsticks menu link listed on their Google information. Based on the published menu (09/21/18) I called and ordered take-out. When I picked up the food the bill w/tax was 75.85. I admit my wife and i became loud protesting but werent yelling. I paid the full amount anyway and when I got home and looked at the online menu again, it came to 54.73 with tax, 20.00 less than I had just paid. I printed out the menu and went back to Gold Chopsticks within an hour to show how much Id overpaid (20.00 for 3!). I first apologized to both mom and daughter for raising my voice and showed them why I was surprised how much more the cost was. Daughter simply said, Oh thats Google... its their fault, not ours. No apology, I told them I purchased based on their published price, no kind words, no price adjustment, no coupon, no nothing except it wasnt their fault.Well, it wasnt my fault either, and there are too many dining choices to ever repeat this experience. Ill warn everyone I know to not give them their money, and so Im warning you, friend.--GV

This was most ridiculous place I have ever been to. They have an absurd rule I have ever heard. They will not serve you if the order is less than $10 per person!! My wife wasnt hungry so the waiter refused to take our order. Utter nonsense!!. Never have I experienced such rudeness from a waiter.

Golden Chopsticks Restaurant really lives up to its name! I asked someone to buy fried noodles. Jingran didn’t give me chopsticks. I came back and asked her for some. She Jingran said, I don’t know if you go home to eat or where to eat. Gold chopsticks are really more expensive than gold.
