Golden Bamboo Vegetarian Restaurant in San Jose

Outstanding vegetarian restaurant: greatest service, food selections are plentiful and definitely the food taste delicious, food decorations are splendid. The restaurant appearance are so beautiful and gorgeous with all of the oriental ancient decorations items and in Buddhism theme. Our party have 18 people total; however, the food came out really fast and fresh. Love this place and definitely come back.

We just went once again to this restaurant for a quick lunch. We ordered the House Eggrolls, the 5 salad sampler and Mushroom porridge. I had never had the porridge so my tastebuds were still getting used to it, but by the time we finished, I can say I like it. The eggrolls were delicious and crispy. I loved them. Salads are our favorite dish, so we enjoyed all of them.

Food is bland and flavorless even though it looks amazing. A+ for presentation and overpriced rates.Try the Tastea next door after the disappointing meal to cheer yourselves up.

3.5 stars if possible.Ironically, I was hoping for a more vegetable-forward menu, and while the food here was pretty good, most dishes seemed to focus on veggie “meats” that were soy or tofu based. The “beef” in the shaken beef dish had the flavor and texture that was very close to actual beef. Fried tofu was good, but heavily breaded. Summer rolls were…interesting? “Fish” fried rice had some interesting crispy bits, but…and this will sound odd…I really enjoyed the coconut herbal tea!If you’re looking to replace meat, this is a good place to go and would be a solid 4-star. If you’re looking for a new take on veggies? Maybe look elsewhere…

Food was pretty good! My mom and I really like this and the restaurant is really nice! Will def come back! We ordered pomelo and oyster mushroom salad combination, and sweet and sour hot pot, and coconut drink!

It’s by far the most beautiful place and exquisite vegetarian foods in San Jose. The whole management team just recently remodeled and revamped this whole restaurant. We always enjoy the food here.

Enjoyed the spring rolls. The vegetarian ham was a New taste experience for me. It may be an acquired taste. My lunch date was a 30-year vegan and he says its not as good as it used to be.All I wanted was skinny noodles and the only skinny noodle dish they had was cold.tThe service, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. They are not very attentive. Had to keep going inside the restaurant for things like more water or napkins. Doubt l will be returning.

Used to love this place. Great for vegetarians. Unfortunately the food and service the last couple of times have not been particularly good. The prices have also gone up considerably in the last few years. A little disappointing.
