Golden China Restaurant in Salinas

We need to made a stop at Salina on the way to SF so we are searching for chinese food dinner.Once I look at the Golden China food picture in Yelp I told my husband use must try this restaurant.First my husband was skeptical about the restaurant but once the dishes arrived our table he immediately change his mind.We order- West Lake Soup : this is a very traditional Cantonese style soup, minced beef, peas and carrot in a starchy egg white soup base, you can ask with or without cilantro garnish, or on the side. We usually will add tiny bit vinegar and pepper- Fried Chicken Wing- House Special Chow Fun- Walnut Shrimp( should have order a veggie dish but we know that we wont be finish all and at cant it the left over since we are traveling)Their portion of each plate is HUGE!Every dish we ordered we enjoy it so much!Fast and friendly service, clean environment, delicious food !One more happy and satisfied customer I am highly recommended for travelers or local!

Pleasant and calm atmosphere very welcoming. Fast and friendly service, convenient and lots of parking. Wait time to be seated depends on the size of your party. Food is best hot so dine in! Got the number 2 lung plate; combo chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, fried crab puff? Or maybe a fried won ton, spring roll/egg roll, with a side of won ton soup, and an extra side of white rice

Not a bad little place to visit! The customer service is great they were friendly and speedy with my family on our vacay. The food was good and reasonably priced for the amount. Most plates we shared so keep in mind the portions are pretty good to share. We thank you for being so kind for our dinner and having good food before we head home tomorrow. I added a few plates of our shared food between 9 people.

Love it! Will make the 40 min drive specifically for this restaurant. Been coming here for years already it’s definitely a family favorite. Service is always very pleasant and kind. Food is always very delicious! Eating in or taking out it’s always good!

Annie and her staff are great. I usually get the Chicken Chow Fun. It is SO good. Everything is always fresh. The chicken is not tough or chewy. Portions are large. You definitely get a good value for your money. I highly recommend!

Omgosh... this is awesome the fried shrimp is like nothing Ive ever tasted so crispy but yet melt in ur mouth this is so very good I give 10 stars ... Delicious thank u

Hidden gem in Salinas. Broad menu, great, fresh food. Good value, large portions.

The menu is great and the food is Delicious!! Weve tried a lot of restaurants/take out and this is definitely one of our favorites. The Broccoli beef is fantastic, the pork chow mein is delicious, the pork fried rice is amazing. The egg flower soup taste great and the Hot and Sour soup is one of my personal favorites. A must try if your in the mood, you wont be disappointed.

Found this place doing a tour of Salinas. A place I have not visited in years.Excellent atmosphere. A lot of very good food, served quickly and hot.We got the dinner #3 for 2. If you love left overs that get better the next day, this is a place to go.I will, if I come back to Salinas, definitely visit again.Did I mention, i believe, it was 2016, this place was ranked #8 of 100 best Chinese restaurants in the U.S.?There, I did. Definitely worth a try.

The food was all on point and the service was excellent. Will be a returning customer.
