Ok…think about the amount of food you get for a 2 item combo at Panda Express for roughly $9. You get about the same amount here for a highway robbery of $15. Was the food good? Meh. Not really. NOTE: I’m incredibly easy when it comes to food. Anyway - It’s ok food for a ridiculous amount of money. Go to a Panda for cheaper or find a take out place somewhere else. This place leaves A LOT to be desired.

As much as I like this place and their food to take out, their prices have skyrocketed! 6 months ago I came here and ordered the same dishes for $6 less than what theyre listed at now! Its June 2023. Kind of bummed about that! Probably my last time for coming here since I can get other dishes I like at other places for much less.

We ordered takeout here for dinner for 2. The online ordering system was easy and the order was ready quickly on a weeknight. We had the shrimp fried rice, egg flower soup, and Szechuan vegetables with white rice. All of the food was excellent and the portions were generous! The gentleman who rang me up and gave me my order was friendly and pleasant!

Been here for years, seems to do a lot of take out orders. Food is good, prices are reasonable, parking can be sketchy. The dining room is pretty basic, however, the floor is pretty gross.

This place used to have good food but it has sharply gone down hill. Theyve raised the prices and I left there paying over $60 for fried rice, general tsos chicken, Mongolian beef and orange chicken. The worst was the general tsos chicken which tasted like dried cardboard. The orange chicken tasted gross and you could tell they tried to cover up the horrible probably stale chicken with gobs of sugary orange sauce. The fried rice tasted old. The Mongolian beef had broccoli which it never had previously. I had to eat something sweet to get the taste of this foul food out of my mouth. A member of my family became ill after eating the general tsos chicken. Im done with this place!

Great food, my all time favorite is pork fried rice. Its a big meal when enjoyed all by its self! Also love the Garlic brocolli. Large portions are standard, pleasant and quick service, order by phone and 10-15 minutes later, its ready to pick up. Count on $10.00 per item, the quality far surpasses the price, which is fair. Ive been eating here for 20+ years, no reason to stop.

I had to write a solid review for this restaurant because they deserve a much higher rating.I grew up on NYC takeout, and this place is the closest thing to Mott. St./Canal st. .I ordered via doordash, however, the restaurant didnt confirm the order so I called and a friendly voice, Billy, assured me that my order was received and will be prepared.When we got our food, I was salivating because it smelled so good, opened up the boxes and everything looked perfect, and if it didnt look perfect, it sure tasted perfect.This restaurant is very consistent, but tonight, the my fathers day dinner was extra special because Golden Dragon went above and beyond my dinner expectations.

I brought home some take out. A beef dish and a shrimp dish. Neither meat was cooked enough, My first bite of beef was seared, but raw on the inside. The shrimp was limp and luke warm. I ended up having to pull out the meat and cook it the rest of the way myself on the stove, which negated the reason for take out.The vegetables and sauce was identical for both dishes, and did not go well with the shrimp at all. I think they just ladle the house veggy and sauce mix, and throw in some choice of protein.

I had my food delivered via DoorDash. Cream cheese wontons, spare ribs, sesame chicken.I was excited to try, due to so many great reviews.I don’t get it, my food was not good. The spareribs were tough and devoid of any flavor and the same for the sesame chicken. The chicken had a freezer burn aftertaste. The only flavor was the slight sauce covering it.I threw the leftovers away, it was that bad.I am sorry for such a bad review but it is honest.

We really thought the food was was good. The menu is more like a traditional Chinese restaurant. You dont order individual plates where you pick 2 or 3 entrees along with fried rice like at Panda. Its like family dining, each selection ordered is enough to feed several people. It is not convenient for one person if you want more than one entre unless you dont mind a lot of leftovers. The food is yummy so leftovers are a good thing. Dont pass this one up, its Definitely worth a try.👍

I like the egg flower soup when I have a cold. It makes feel better. I love egg flower soup and its hard to find.Tonight I got orange chicken. The good: they use bite-sized chunks of white meat chicken instead of that weird, flat, processed chicken some places use. The bad: it was SUPER sweet and syrupy. Ill try something savory next time.It fills the empty spot but its not amazing.EDIT: Ive come to like this little place. The lady at the counter is friendly. She even brought my meal to the car one night during the pandemic.Their lunch specials are filling. Theyre usually enough for lunch and dinner.I like this place better than other Chinese fast food joints because you can get things like chow mein and chow fun and mu shu. They even offer a couple of healthy options.

Portions are large, but where is the flavour?Probably the worst Chinese food Ive had anywhere. There was no flavour at all for any of the dishes ordered, or the fortune cookies.The brown rice was overcooked, and only 1 portion was delivered instead of 2.The meat and veggies were cooked fine, but there was nothing to taste. We tried adding salt and soy sauce to help, but they didnt help.I wont be returning here for any reason.

Bad habits is what’s being done around here. Carrie their server / boss don’t care about any customer service. Lazy chef is one of the better descriptions for this Chinese restaurant.Small portions is what you get when you order from their generic menu.Cole egg rolls is what you get if you order from Uber eats. Extra saliva served when you complain about the service or food. They will act nice and say so sorry we can make you one more same dishy!

Staffs are friendly and you will get your food cooked quickly within the committed time.But here stops the good part so far. The food taste is blunt and the schzuan dish I tried was awful and I never had that tastes like anywhere else before. Also for a simple dish like fried rice ordered on two different dates the tastes were completely different on both days.I am not happy to be back another time.

Stopped by this restaurant to give a try. It’s a small family owned restaurant with a friendly staff. Ordered the Chop Suey, Orange Chicken and Chow Fun. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning, thought it was like an overpriced Panda Express, but the food exceeded my expectation and fairly generous portions. Will be returning.

This place had gone downhill for a while with changes in management and chefs. I tried it again based on a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The hot and sour soup was the best Ive had there and the Szechuan beef was excellent. Id like to see more variety in the menu, but for the basic dishes it was very tasty.

Small portions for expensive prices. Food was cold, Carrie doesnt understand a word i said over the phone. The beef chow fun was wet with oil. Greasy and got a stomach ache afterwards. Steam rice that I had to pay extra was not even cooked, came out crunchy and raw. Its like if you cant even make a simple steam rice, something is definitely wrong. The owners are nice but should not be opening a Chinese restaurant with food like this!

I discovered this hole in the wall Chinese take out place. While I was doing pickups there for Doordash.They have a great lunch special that runs till 3pm. Plus a weekly special. Lunch portion is enough to fill you up.The Southern chinese cooking style is great lots of peppers used, and the quick stir fry where the vegetables are cooked, but still crunchy.Cant say so much for the egg roll, taste like the typical frozen ones you buy at the big box store.Serves is great and your food comes quick

Wow that was horrible. The wontons are mushy, taste bad, and have not and or some terrible meat inside. And the tinfoil wrapped chicken was terrible as well. Under cooked, sticking to the tinfoil. Bad tasting food 100% bad idea better off going to McDonalds next door. Saving you from an expensive meal. For those two items. $16. This place look bad as well. The need a remodel 20-30 years ago.

Amazing food and service! My wife and I have been looking for great Chinese food here in south Orange County. We are so thrilled we have found this place! Pot stickers, Kung Pow Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup... all amazing! Its a simple restaurant thats all about the food and friendly service. Please check them out!

Zero stars if I could. Warning for delivery orders. This restaurant started out good but went downhill quickly and I will no longer order from them. My last order of spicy barbecue pork had 5 smaller than quarter size slices of pork in a sea of sliced onions!! Had to hunt for the pork slices. The shrimp in lobster sauce had exactly 4 pieces of scrawny shrimp floating in an unappetizing soupy mixture with big chunks of bell pepper and onion chunks. Kung Pao chicken was a little better with a few pieces of chicken but still full of huge chunks of bell pepper, squash, peanuts and (you guessed it) more onion chunks. Egg rolls are not fresh and taste previously frozen. These people went down the tubes quickly. Anywhere is better.

Our go to take out Chinese food place in the area. We had a horrible experience next door st Pei Wei and have enjoyed Golden Dragon. Their food is great and good quality. The staff is friendly and food is made pretty quick. The only thing preventing 5 stars is that they closed the restaurant for a week for summer vacation and we really wanted some quick Chinese food. And they dont really have a lot of done in seating. Its more of a take out place.

Their cream cheese wontons had no additional flovors or herbs to make it taste better, plus the sweet and sour sauce was the consistency of water. They are trying to cut corners. This time I have the receipt. * End edit* Thought due to all of these great ratings, but the sauce was like jello, and it was flavorless in my sesame chicken. The only good thing was the rice and fortune cookie.

Almost tasteless. I ordered the Chicken Chop Suey. Tasted like someone took a wok, threw in some celery, sprouts, water chest nuts, chicken, onions and mushrooms with some water, stirred it for 5 mins and threw it on a plate.I can usually overlook some of the other items, however this just didnt cut it for me.Also, one of the other things that Ive grown accustomed to in other mom and pop Chinese and Thai shops is some kind of dinner plate special, where a roll, wonton or other garnishment is included along with fried rice when you sit in. No such thing here.If youd like an example of a business doing it right, check out Thai Pepper in Huntington Beach. Theyre on point.I may come back and try to give another dish a try, unsure at this point.

My mother was yelled at by the cashier. No right to snap at her for simply ordering. Will never come again. Rather make it myself then have my mother embarrassed for wanting to eat. Food is either too greasy or sugery anyway. Save your money before you get a lecture too.

Great little family owned restaurant. PEI Wei moved into the plaza and tried to run them out of business. They failed and shut their doors!! The big corporate restaurant couldnt compete with the authentic delicious food at Golden Dragon. Not to mention their loyal customer base!! 😋

More stars are needed for this place! sooo good! searched maps for local Chinese and found them in a tiny space right next to pei wei btw maps says its the union bank building but its wrong its facing union bank in pei wei building...they are far above the food at China moon and better prices. we went to China moon a week after we tried golden dragon because the reviews say how amazing China moon is. whats amazing is that any reviews say that! no joke no comparison. golden dragon is the best Chinese food in Laguna niguel.
