It was my first time here as the Golden Dragon restaurant, 🐉 my sister recommended it and I must say that the food is tasty and very fresh. I ordered the chicken fried rice and fried spare ribs, and both were great, and enough to feed 3 to 4 people. The main dishes are definitely generous portions. I ate 3 times off of those helpings. I am definitely a return customer now, and the service was awesome. It was so refreshing to find a place that appreciates their customers and shows it by greeting you with a welcome and a genuine smile, not being bothered by questions, saying thank you and offering suggestions from the menu when I wasnt sure. And being told thank you for coming and to have a great day as I left. That is genuine service by people who care about what they do and who they serve. That exchange of politeness and care has won me over. Go see for yourself and enjoy a great meal at the same time. Enjoy 😉

Ordered the sweet and sour chicken! Outstanding! Made to order. The chicken is crispy despite being in the sweet and sour sauce. The recipe is tangy and the portion generous. It was delicious. The restaurant was very clean inside. Ive driven past this place thousands of times and never considered trying it until today. Im glad I did.

It was supposed to be chicken wings and fried rice. I got plain white rice and “wings” that were the size of legs.Maybe I’m just used to east coast Chinese food but this isn’t it. Definitely Wouldn’t recommend.Egg rolls also were a no go.

Best Chinese food in Oxnard! This is one of those hidden gems that you really need to check out. The salt and pepper pork is SO good! Actually, everything is good. I believe this is a family run business. Theres the lady who takes your order, and then her son cooks in the back. They are both very nice. Check this place out, I think youll love it.

I so enjoy this Chinese place. The wings are super crispy, nice, and hot (no, not spicy). Their BBQ pork is delicious. Its better than any other place I have eaten Chinese food at before in my area. The owners know what they are doing. Just a heads up, the owners have a very strong accent, so try not to get discouraged when speaking to them to place your order. The most fantastic thing about this food is that its made to order. Its not just sitting under a heat lamp. This used to be a place to sit and eat, but now everything is to go.

Was referred by a friend to try the Wonton Soup, her favorite on the menu. The soup was delicious and was in a nice sized cup, included chicken, beef, shrimp, water chestnuts, veggies, and of course Wontons. Would have been nice with ramen noodles too but it was still nice really tasty for my dinner. Will return for more.

Omg.. Okay so I ordered a few things1. Orange chicken3. Chicken wings4. Sweet & sour beef5. String beans & chickenHands down all of it was delicious! My new favorite Chinese restaurant for sure!Highly recommended!I told myself I should’ve took pictures cause it looked so delicious then my boyfriend said I should take pictures of the aftermath (*empty containers everywhere!)

I order a couple times a month, and it is always the “bomb!” Love their kung pao — shrimp, chicken, beef (or all three). Sweet and Sour dishes are all excellent (and generous helpings).

Just reminded tonight of how good I had it at this place. They sweet and sour pork had that crisp outer, with silky sweet smooth sauce, and firm/plump pork bits in it. Then the subtle sour finish. They made my orders fresh and never wasted any of my time.

I decided to order carryout for family dinner here, in spite of an unappealing atmosphere. Boy was I very pleasantly surprised. We ordered chicken and beef dishes, all were freshly made with tasty vegetables. It is a family run restaurant and they were polite and friendly. I have finally found my favorite chinese take-out in Oxnard!

It is always difficult to find a place where a large group can enjoy dinner at a reasonable price and have some privacy. This is it. Good food and the staff was wonderful. We had a good assortment from the menu including many vegetarian (no meat) options, like Caprese salad and delicious baked salmon. Everyone had a fun time.

Terrible service... Thought i was ordering the standard half and half with 2 items but then she rings me up for $15. I have her try and explain to me the portions im ordering because $15 seems outrageous, but she doesnt do a very good job at it and seems frustrated by my confusion. So i just go ahead and order the $15 meal, expecting that i just misunderstood something and that it will probably come with family sized portions to justify the price, but instead she comes out with a tiny carton of white rice and a moderately sized tray of the meat that i ordered. Google reviews seriously misled me on this one.

Taste of food is bland. The woman taking the order was so rude and rushing customers she got our order wrong. We purchased our food on the way home from the base and did not discover it until we arrived home in Camarillo. The woman needs customer service lessons. I wish we could give it negative star ratings

This is a small mom and pop place run by a husband and wife team. The Chinese food here is made to order and you can hear the husband cooking away on his wok. I first tried this place because we were looking for a caterer for sadly, my dads upcoming funeral reception. We also had to find a Chinese restaurant that didnt use msg. I found them on Yelp and they happened to be only 5 minutes away from my parents house. We first ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, and chicken with snow peas-all dinner size. Everything again was made to order but came out quickly and fresh. Jennifer - the wife, let me and my sis sample a piece of our orders as it came out hot and fresh. When we took it all home, everyone enjoyed the flavors and liked how crispy the orange chicken was. They use a really good batter that holds up and doesnt get soggy. We decided the flavors were good and we would order a mass amount of food from them. We were also surprised on how inexpensive their catering dishes were. Chicken - $40, beef - $45, seafood-$50. We ended up ordering multiple trays of orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, fish in black bean sauce, Mongolian beef, chicken and string beans, mixed vegetables, house special fried rice and chow mein. For my dads viewing, I ordered 2 trays (theyre the half size btw) of their chicken wings. Seriously.. Just the smell of the wings was mouth watering! And again, I dont know what the chef uses but the chicken wings were so crispy and stayed crispy the whole night! They were completely obliterated by the guests. We ordered probably way too much for the reception, but the guests were happy and kept asking where we got the food from. Im happy that Golden Dragon had our humongous order ready on time and we had absolutely no issues with them. Thank you to Jennifer and her husband for making such delicious Chinese food and helping make our dads service successful. They are so far the best Chinese cuisine in Oxnard!

This is honestly the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Not only did it taste terrible but my husband and I found multiple black hairs in his food. The vegetable lo mein is plain with no sauce or fresh vegetables. The sesame chicken was so crispy that you couldnt even tell there was meat inside. I dont understand how this place got so many great reviews........

This place charges for EVERYTHING (dont ask for jalapeno in your dish or add/take out an item--itll cost you) Orange chicken is rubbery--more dough and fried too long. I feel like my teeth will fall off. The walnut shrimp is worse than Panda with the breading that overpowers the small shrimp inside (walnut is more burnt than sweet). I got 3 dishes for $40...I knew there is a reason why I dont go to places like this. Oh...and to make the dining room experience worse...she yells your dish so loud your ears will hurt. Adding the 1 star is really too much to add. Youre better off at a Chinese buffetfor the money!! Rude rude rude..

The portions were small for the price, $13/ two item entré, and the food was bland. The fried rice was literally rice with soy sauce, no veggies. The chow mein was also veggie-less and had no flavor. The chicken (orange and pineapple) were was a mixture of chewy and too crunchy.

Everything here is good and ready in minutes. The closest thing to LA style Chinese food. Get the fried chicken(thank me later). My personal favorite is the salt and pepper pork ribs.

The worst customer Service. The lady overcharged us, we pointed it out immediately, she pretended she didnt understand, and just kept pointing to the no refunds sign. She overcharged us by $17 and instead of correcting the mistake was extremely rude, and refused to fix her mistake. Never going back!

So im eating here at this lonley resturant where you cant see the food they serve because they block every angle with taped paper to the glass the chicken is very crunchy as if its old and reglazed and sauted the beef did not taste like beef i belive they serve differnt kind of animal here the bbq pork was mostly fat and taste like rubber although my experience here was -5 out of 10 the fortune cookie was great but i advise that your better off eating at the panederia next door

I came here on a business trip to eat delicious food. It’s opened by Beijingers. In just one washroom time, two people and three dishes are all ready, and they are delicious. After eating, a foreigner asked me to teach him how to say in Chinese: delicious, thank you. Hopefully it keeps going at this level.
