It seems to be a small mom and pop Eatery Young and grown up adults service service cook and prepare prepare take out. So it seemed like a family business quaint and nice every effort is made to make your experience pleasant. The food was pretty good service also. Definitely a nice experience. There is really no ambiance because they are geared more for take out out but we entered and we were the only ones That were seated but by the time we left all 5 tables were full. So clearly its a popular place in 1000 oaks.. If you want great price points good dish portions and a great selection. I recommend giving them a try.

Will never order from here again. Ordered three appetizers that should come with sweet and sour sauce. I asked for EXTRA. And only got 2 TINY containers total. Literally just had to throw the rest away that we couldn’t eat with sauce. Waste of food. Waste of money. Wasn’t even good. Never again!

This is a wonderful restaurant. Great food, great people. We’ve dined in a couple of times and the food, again, is really flavorful, and the give you more than you could ever eat.Where they have gone above and beyond, however, is take out. Twice now, WE have made mistakes on our call-in/online orders; once we forgot a main dish and the second, we ordered the wrong soup. Doh! On the forgotten dish, we called and ordered what we had missed. They delivered it so we didn’t have to drive back over. What? How great is that?On the wrong soup thing; they just GAVE us the correct soup and let us keep the stuff we ordered in error. These are good people and the place is hopping.Love the orange chicken and the hot & sour soup.

Best Chinese food in Thousand Oaks - you must order from the Chinese Menu (yes, with English translations).Service is great, owners are A+Place is small and basic, but we find it homely.Be prepared for subtle tastes and not excessive sauce-smothered food.Try the pork stew (belly pork), Taiwan noodles, shrimp with tofu, etc - just try everything from the Chinese menu.

Great Chinese takeout spot. Got the orange chicken, string beans and pork, three cup chicken.The orange chicken is pretty good, bit thick on batter but gives panda express run for money. The three cup chicken is a bit dry but flavorful. The string beans and pork is a spicy but good.Overall, solid flavor and youll do well getting takeout here.

Food is delicious! I ordered the orange chicken and rice and the serving size was significantly larger than I expected at a reasonable price . I had leftovers for days. The service is quick. The environment is clean and even though the place is small they make use of the space they have. I was there near Chinese New Year and the restaurant was full.

There is something really off when you see all these great reviews for some of the gamiest tasting, dried up meat Ive ever had. I ordered the chefs choice golden noodle which has chicken, beef and pork.. and the poorest quality meat Ive ever tasted. It tasted.. I dont know, old? And gamey. Oiley and recycled. Look at all my other reviews. I hardly ever give a bad review unless it is really bad.

Best Chinese food I found so far in Ventura county. Delightful little restaurant off Thousand Oaks boulevard in a tiny Shopping Center. The Staff is very courteous though the prices are a little bit high. But as they say you get what you pay for. And for tasty food like this is, I can splurge every so often. On a recent visit I had the Appetizer of the Pork Spare Ribs, Egg Rolls(extremely crispy), and a dish they made for me Green Beans and Eggplant in a Spicy Garlic sauce. And I had enough for two meals. I would Highly, Highly recommend this place. It made my Christmas Eve extra special and I might have to go back for New Years. Yum Yum

[Update at the bottom]This restaurant is a nice change of pace from the likes of Panda Express, although it definitely needs some improvement. Whatever stars this restaurant receives for being better than Panda, I have to take away for miscellaneous reasons. For instance, the orange chicken is usually much better than at Panda Express. The in-house chili sauce is also quite amazing. However, the white steamed rice is not quite the best. There are spots of brown color and texture, as though it had been sitting in the pot for too long and then stirred before preparing the dish. Another thing that I found unappealing was their fortune cookie; it misspelled vanilla on the ingredients list, making the whole cookie dubious to me.If it werent for the rice, Id give this restaurant four stars.----------------------------------------------Edit: The rice has improved. Please keep up the good work and get better fortune cookies.

Went to this place because of high reviews.We ordered Mongolian beef, almond chicken and sweet and sour pork.Mongolian beef had a sour bland flavor.Almond chicken was a tad better but still an odd flavorSweet and sour pork was barely ok but still not good at all.Fried chicken rice is garbage.I dont know why this place gets high reviews at all, Id give it 3 at best.Wasted $60, just terrible.

I was confused by conflicting reviews for this restaurant so I gave it a try. It is take out only and the staff was very kind, friendly, and organized. The Orange Chicken is worth it, the Sweet and Sour Chicken less so (although it us prepared with green peppers, onions, and pineapple, and carrots).

Usually like their food, but I called in for a delivery order. After 1.5 of no food I called they said it must be on the way. Stopped by for lunch. Very limited seating and parking may pose a problem at times. Basic interior. Hot and soups opines very good. Not too starchy and plenty of goodies inside. Also had a nice amount of bite by the end of the cup. They also served crunchy noodles as a starter. Unlike other establishments, these were crisp and crunchy.Egg foo young was a different take. The egg mixture was fried driers rely with what looked tone minced onions and perhaps some cabbage. The Vegas were then served on the side of the egg patties. Sauce was good and light. Overall a successful dish.

Great amount of food for the amount I paid. Great customer service. They checked on me made sure all was alright. And well they smiled which is something a lot of CSRs dont feel like doing. Went for lunch and tried the paper wrapped chicken, veggie egg rolls, Kung Pao Three Delight and a Thai tea. I got the Kung Pao from the lunch special menu, it came with my choice of rice and soup of the day. I chose to try the friend rice as my rice option and the egg flower soup. Ordering was a little tricky, I got the sense the person taking my order was new, but it went fine, she managed to take down my order and answer any questions I had as best as possible. in terms of the food, I really enjoyed the Kung Pao Three Delight, it comes with chicken, beef and shrimp. I did noticed I had only 2-3 pieces of each and it was all mainly water chestnuts. I ordered mine at their regular spicy level, but you can order it more or less. The rice is pretty basic rice nothing crazy about it, and the egg flower soup same. They were both good, but not something Id make a huge hype about. I was a little confused with the paper wrapped chicken because the texture and consistency reminded me of tofu. Ive had paper wrapped chicken at different establishments and its never had the texture like this one. I will say that their Thai tea is really delicious, trying to find Thai tea that has flavor is not easy but this place has it down. You can order it with boba, but on the day I visited they particularly ran out. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area looking for good and affordable lunch.

Remember the good ol’ days when Chinese food like this was cheap? Not anymore. This place is incredibly expensive for low to medium quality food. The fried rice has lots of white rice clumps. The 4 piece rib appetizer was basically a plate of small, meatless bones. If you eat here, you’ll get full. But your wallet will suffer.

Ordered via Doordash through this restaurant. The restaurant called me 5 minutes later asking for more money because they had listed items at incorrect prices. I explained that because this was not my fault that they would have to cover the difference and honor the deal as I had already paid and the the error was made solely by their staff. They were not at all helpful and tried to sell me less food for the same price. I explained that I simply wanted what I had ordered and paid for. The manager refused to be in any way helpful and so I was forced to file a claim with Doordash for a refund. Thankfully Doordash was more helpful and issued a refund. Will not order here again.

Great local Chinese restaurant in town. My go to favorite dishes are: happy family, steamed chicken filet with mixed veggies ( wine garlic sauce), house special egg Foo young, fish filet, lemon chicken and BBQ pork appetizer.They are friendly staff. Absolutely terrific food at prices so low they surprised me. The young family who owns the restaurant are the sweetest, most charming people around. Mom and dad are in their thirties I think, and their two boys, who sometimes answer the phone and greet customers, are in grade school in Thousand Oaks. The grandmother is a crack up and the grandfather hangs around outside and reads the Chinese newspaper. Every waitress is extra friendly and polite with great service. This is the best Chinese food in Thousand Oaks. Give these people your business!Great dishes include the wor wonton soup, happy family, any shrimp or fish dish because there shrimp and fish are always very fresh, and I like the beef or pork Lo Mein. My friend told me he really enjoyed the orange chicken.

I was skeptical about this place at first. Lakeview Garden was closed & Id never heard of this place with all my years living in TO. The reviews seemed to be too good to be true for this little hole in the wall. I kept waiting for the inevitable disappointment but it didnt come. I had to begrudgingly admit that the food was pretty good, maybe not as good as my favorite Chinese place, and maybe not quite as good as the hype, but I will definitely be back.
