Got myself a BBQ pulled pork bahn mi with extra chilies, WOW. Best bahn mi I’ve had in a while. The bread is perfect and the meat so flavorful. I just got it to go but the staff was wonderful, attentive, and kind.Looking forward to next week when I’m in the area and can eat here again.
I came to know this new restaurant in downtown San Rafael last Sunday. The service is excellent and food is so amazing. I had a bowl of noodles soup called Pho. The soup is so amazing, fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended for all those who love food like me.

Not the most beautiful or cozy or inviting space especially on a cold winters night but the food is so freaking good that I won’t go anywhere else anymore. This is by far my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. There is so much love and care in the food and everything is so delicious.

How did we get so lucky?Golden Era 1 adds to this line up and offers something different.The menu is not as extensive or as typical as other American Vietnamese restaurants, but the food feels very home style in a great way! Everything Ive tried has been delicious.Im not Vietnamese, but it really feels like you are having an amazing home cooked meal. The dishes are so hearty and comforting. Everything tastes like it was made with TLC.Ive tried the Beef Rib Soup, Combo Beef Soup, a special spicy Beef Soup, Beef Shank Stew, Shrimp Fried Rice, Grilled Chicken, Pork Rib Barbecue, and Korean Beef Barbecue. Im pretty sure the last two arent traditionally Vietnamese, but the chef includes Vietnamese tasting herbs and sauces with them, and I really enjoyed the fusion.If you have the Pho, the broth tasted clean and not overly salty. Just the right amount of flavor so you can really pick up the flavors of the fresh herbs that accompany the dish.If I had a gun to my head Id pick the Beef Shank Stew as my favorite, but I still have not worked my way through the menu yet.The food speaks for itself. Do not look this one over.

2023-08-28 06:50:05This is a new restaurant in town. This is as authentic as you going to get to home cooking. The owner Ms. Rose is hard at work in the kitchen bringing her childhood dishes to live once again and is doing an awesome job at it. We had a combination soup, beef barbecue, and grill chicken, all delicious. The Thai ice tea is freshly brewed and not to sweet like you find everywhere else you order it. I highly recommend, it keep in mind she is doing a soft opening until she gets het staff up to speed. But we’ll worth the wait.

2023-10-16 19:44:54I cannot give this place higher reviews. My partner and I absolutely adore Vietnamese cuisine, and we’ve tried a myriad of different places. This place is at the top of our list now. The most flavorful broth I’ve ever had, with just the right amount (a lot lol) of chopped green onion and cilantro on top. Not to mention the fried garlic chips also!!! The spring rolls were also made to order. So many fresh veggies and succulent shrimp with homemade peanut sauce. Ugh, I want to go back ASAP! You can tell the food here is made with love and to taste, I have nothing bad to say. I’ll definitely be trekking back across the Golden Gate to eat here again. I wish this restaurant nothing but the best, the people here were so nice and they definitely know what they’re doing

2023-10-14 03:59:50Wow. One of the best (if not the best) and authentic Vietnamese pho I’ve ever tasted. Soup broth is cooked with real bone broth, and the meat that just melts in your mouth. We ordered the combination which was just about the right amount. The egg roll was also generous and well done. Felt like a place cooked with love and care. Think they’re still new and still doing up the place and decor. And just told the owner/manager to get on DoorDash so we can order it on days we can’t drive out. 2023-08-23 07:19:45The restaurant is spacious with a stage for karaoke and live music. We celebrated birthday of our friend here with 50 people. This place is nice and clean and rents out for private parties, such as wedding anniversary, wedding reception, quinceanera party, family gatherings that could hold up to 300 people. The food here is excellent and delicious and the. price is reasonable. I LOVE combo beef pho. It is so delicious.

2023-12-08 02:57:23Amazing flavored pho and different from other places around town. Lots of lemongrass in the broth which is absolutely delicious. We got the beef rib pho, sliced beef pho, and a side of egg rolls. Both pho dishes were incredible and we were pleasantly surprised at the light and flaky egg rolls. Service was excellent. This has quickly become one of our favorite places in town.

2023-11-17 03:11:38This place is DELICIOUS. We had takeout in the rain yesterday and the beef pho was dynamite. My wife got a maybe-off-menu cold noodle dish (bun) and that was also excellent. I can only imagine how amazing the pho would be eating it hot from the kitchen. Atmosphere is a bit lacking but you’re going here for the bangin food. Blows other Marin places out of the water from our experience

2023-12-08 21:12:06Ok this place is seriously delicious. The Pho is so flavorful. I’ve been 3 times this month. Chicken wings are super crispy and have so much flavor. The workers are all so nice as well. Can’t recommend this place enough!
