Was craving some broth and Pho was the solution! This place was so very yummy!!!The meat was cooked perfectly and the noodles were delicious!Plus the Chia iced tea was delicious! Definitely will eat here again.

A good place to eat when in Chinatown. The prices are low, and the food delicious. They prepare the food rather quick, so this is also a good place when you have limited time. The place features a quite extensive menu, with many classic dishes to choose from. I loved the Five Spice chicken. And they serve tea as soon as you get in.

Love the prices here and how quick the service is! I came here on a Thursday night with no line at all and the food came very quickly!Food: I got the vermicelli with pork and imperial rolls and really appreciated the flakiness and crunch of the rolls in addition to the fish sauce! I also tried the standard pho bowl which was quite average but the vermicelli had a great portion size and great flavor!Service: The waiters let us stick around for a long time which was super nice of them and we stayed for about two hours!Ambiance: Super casual, felt like an eatery and was very much a quick cheap place to eat!I enjoyed my experience and would go for huge portions at low cost!

Chinatown has three Golden restaurants all within a five-minute walking distance from each other. I mean there is the Golden Flower Vietnamese Restaurant, Golden King Vietnamese Restaurant and the Golden Star Vietnamese Restaurant all close to each other. After trying Golden Flower, I decided to give Golden King a try. It is located on Clay & Walter U so its in the heart of Chinatown and almost opposite to Golden Star.At the peak lunch hour on a Saturday the place had only 2 tables full, so it seemed pretty empty. I decided to get the Vietnamese style beef stew noodle soup ($9) to-go. As expected I had to pay in cash as it was cash only. After ordering it was a short 10-minute wait and I was on my way.I got two containers, a container for the broth and another small Chinese takeout container for the noodles. The broth was really good and the noodles were fine. Overall this was pretty good.Price-wise it was in-line with what you would pay at other Golden restaurants in the area. Im going to have to come back and try some stuff of their menu as I liked what I got. A strong 4 stars is how Id rate this place.

The owner and staff is so incredibly kind! The food was amazing. Spring rolls with peanut sauce was super fresh. Definitely recommend trying the Vietnamese coffee!

Food was poor. Extremely greasy. Tea was literally just water. Service was bad, and the owners children were constantly running through the restaurant. Unclean tables. WiFi was the only redeeming quality.

Good, fast Pho that oddly doesnt show up when I search Pho. Let me assure you that theyve got the good stuff!The tea sucks and really is just brown hot water but it comes with the table. Ask for water, believe me.This is a five minute walk from my desk so I come here often.

I really like their spring roll. It’s so special and different from others. I ordered on Ubereats and picked it up myself. The timing is great. I got a 5 spice chicken. Good. It comes with two spring rolls. And lemon grass shrimp. I really like lemon grass 香茅

We ate here twice so far in 5 days and the owners recognized us. Very friendly and gave helpful suggestions when choosing from the menu. My kids like the food and more importantly, I dont feel very thirsty after eating here like I often do when I eat at other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. Im sure well come here again.

Relatively cheap Vietnamese food in San Francisco. Taste of pho noodles was not too bad, but I wish they had proper flat glass noodles.As with all the shops in Chinatown, its somewhat eccentric and dated, but exotic I guess.Much cheaper than all the expensive meals out at Union Square.

I believe this place is more Chinese than Vietnamese. Decided to try based on several Yelp reviews claiming its the best Vietnamese beef stew in the Bay Area. Its ok. Chunks of beef were tender, but it was missing chunks of tendon and carrot. The broth tasted ok, but not really like Vietnamese-style broth.

This place has the best Pho Ive ever had in the Chinatown area. Their Dac Biet is the best when it comes to Pho. The noodles are cooked to perfection, their meats are thinly sliced, lots of beef flanks and their soup base is spectacular! Im defiantly a returning customer (Mostly at lunch time)!

Service is quick, and the owner is very nice, portions are very generous. Tried three different phos over 4 days ( the special, seafood and chicken) all were very good but personally preferred the chicken. The cha gio rolls are also very good too.

I’ve tried about 80% of the pho places in SF and I have to say that Golden King is now my new favorite (used to be Turtle Tower). I order from here a few times a week and get the Pho Dac Biet. The service is super fast and the pho broth and meat is so good!!

I came here with a group of 10. Half of us ordered Pho and the broth was salty. The noodles were over cook. It did not have the Vietnamese flavor. I couldn’t finish the pho as well. I would not recommend the pho here.

Poor quality food. We ordered spring rolls with shrimp. The shrimp was old and smelled, the bean sprouts were old and brown, hidden inside the rolls. Horrible experience for dining. I will not dine there again.

Terrible experience! They said the Bun Bo Hue is the houses special, but it tastes strange and completely different from the REAL Bun Bo Hue. They shouldnt put it to the top of the menu, because their Bun Bo Hue is not acceptable. Very disappointed.

The broth and meatballs are good. The lean beef is pretty tough though. And the noodles get soggy pretty quickly. I prefer golden star around the corner.

If youre in chinatown, but youre craving vietnamese food instead of chinese, you should come here. Their food is pretty good for being in chinatown. My friends always come here whenever we want to catch up. The inside may look a little old, but its kind of the norm for a restuarant in chinatown.

Its perfect for Korean tastes too. If you are struggling with greasy food, try the refreshing soup. I recommend number 1 of the rice noodles (PHO) on the menu. Think of it as meat and rice noodles, but you can have a very hearty meal for less than 10 dollars.

I dont know the taste of the person who gave it 1 star, but my wife and eldest daughter said that the pho was the best pho they had ever had in the United States. Please note that I asked you to leave out the spices. This taste is not to our taste. I had Vietnamese shrimp curry, and it was delicious and plentiful (minus the spices). It was a very hot day of 105 degrees Fahrenheit, but the guy filled my Starbucks cup with ice, so I gave it 5 stars.

The restaurant was almost empty. We ordered dishes with noodles, one with chicken and one with seafood. What we got was inedible, the noodles were completely overcooked, and the taste had nothing to do with any Asian cuisine. We wont go there anymore. Wed rather stand in line at some restaurant and wait for a free table.

However, the boss explained that he thought there was no problem and other customers were eating, so he took the dishes away. If possible, please find a restaurant nearby with better service.The taste is ok but with reasonable price and big portion. Service was terrible.
