Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant in Downey

Love the old school Cantonese style food. Weve only been here twice and have tried different food, and so far, everything has been great.

It was our first ti.e there and we were pretty impressed 👌 the have a ( A ) grade and the food was actually good service was good also

Im a regular customer but today they did not have a lunch combination which I understand due to the holiday but there was no dinner combination either. They have those at night time. I’m a regular customer! I am very disappointed.

This must be some kind of hidden gem. This is not your every day dollar Chinese take out. In fact, not even close. The Golden palace serves some of the finest Chinese food in the entire area. Be prepared to have a large appetite, as every thing is served family style, huge portions. So its best that each person in your party order one dish.Dont be fooled by the lack of people dining in. The majority of their business appears to be take out or delivery, as a lot people were coming andgoing as well as their delivery person.You will not be disappointed.

A rated restaurant. Plenty of parking. Friendly employees. orange checkered I give it ⭐⭐⭐ it was a bit too crunchy for me. The flavor was good but some of them did not have the flavor. Orange beef was really good I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ it could use a little bit more flavor. And the best part theres no fat in it. Just remember these are spicy you have to ask them no spicy. I could tell they recently remodeled and so it is really nice to go there

I ordered the chicken and shrimp fried rice. For starters, that wasn’t chicken. It didn’t taste or look like chicken. It had a rubbery taste and feel. Secondly, the fried rice overall had NO FLAVOR. There was no spice or flavoring AT ALL. It literally taste like grease and left a grease taste in my mouth. If you ever find yourself in San Diego and want the best fried rice you’ve ever had in your life go to Finest Thai in El Cajon. So much flavor and you can choose your spice level they also offer crab fried rice which is my favorite. Every single person that i have introduced to that place has said it’s the best fried rice they’ve ever had!

Wow! I couldnt even believe this place wasnt full! My friend ordered Won Ton soup, and I ordered chicken egg foo Yung. Wonderful food, plenty of it, and really efficient service. I would really recommend trying them out. There was enough food for 4 people for under 33 dollars!

We came here when our son and daughter were at young age. Tonight my husband and i came back after many years.The food and service was AWSOME!Big portions served as well & still brought home plenty of leftovers. Well worth with it. We will be back again👍🙏

This place looks run down from the outside but, when you enter you are taken by surprise. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Large plates and family style tables. The restrooms need a little help . Overall a great little hidden gem. Will definitely return.

The atmosphere looks like the 80s, but the food, and service is the best! Not too many good chinese restaurants around the Whittier area.
