2023-08-02 07:53:46Ive been coming here for many years. The food is great most of the time. This past Sunday, the fish in black bean sauce was too salty. The portions are huge sometimes, and sometimes theyre not. I think sometimes they rush when busy. Service can also be better. Sometimes, you have to wave them down to get something. I am giving them 5 stars for the food. Service can be a little better as far as checking on the customer a little more.

2023-10-29 22:45:43There is a wait to be seated. So, while you wait, look over the menu & make your choices. As soon as you are seated & give your order, the dishes come less than an hour. FYI, the dishes are large portions & worth the price. Super delicious too.#FriedPorkChopinSpicySalt #CrispyChowMein #MooShuPork #WholeFriedFlounder #ChickenCashew #MixedVegetable

2023-08-09 07:43:35My first time coming here; I went in for to-go plates. The service was quick and professional, even though the place was busy. The food portions are OK... Ordered beef chow mein, vegetable chow mein, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and wonton soup (small). The inside interior looked regular tbh. Good place for large crowds. 👍

2022-08-24 05:30:08We went on Sunday afternoon and there’s a lot of customers. There’s a waiting line, so just go ahead and write down your name plus how many people will dine in. Took us more than 10 minutes of waiting, another wait time for the waiter/waitress to attend to get your order and last waiting time for your food to arrive. We ordered kung pao chicken, chop suey vegetables, dry/ fried chow mein, wonton crème cheese and fried fish fillet. We already finished eating our meals and the fish hasn’t arrived yet. So if you’re very hungry, don’t just order the fish! Otherwise you will end up watching people eat while feeling hungry lol. The fish fillet came after we’re done eating so we just had to take it out including the rest of our orders. There’s no parking spot on this restaurant so go to the nearby grocery store (numero uno) and park there in case you can’t find parking spot.We also ordered tea— love it. Overall, it’s 4 stars because there were not enough parking spot available.

2023-12-05 18:13:41We were at Harbor UCLA Hospital waiting for my niece to be discharged so instead of waiting in the car, we had lunch and Golden Pheasant always serve good food. And its still the restaurant I know with authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price. We had House Special Chow Mein, House Special Fried Rice and Shrimp with Walnut and some tea. Btw, the soup and dessert are included.

This has been an ongoing issue & now Im fed up!I dont know why they only give 1 packet yet Im spending my hard earned money for their food! Now Im sitting here with 4 other people & 1 packet!Good customer service would make sure you have plenty of sauces....they gave me sauce I specifically said I dont want!

2022-04-03 01:59:07The Golden Pheasant visit suggested by a co worker who lives in the L.A area. He has been to many different places in the United States as well. We he works his home area, he comes here.I was in the mood for Egg Foo Young. Thinking it would be a scrambled egg sheet with usual vegetables. However, the menu had different variations along with it (Beef, chicken, vegetables, pork, shrimp). All of these different price points associated with them. The vegetable Egg Foo Young being the least expensive.Anyway, I received the Egg Foo Young. To my surprise and disbelief it came in a soup form. I was expecting it a regular dry form on a plate platter. Well, I see all kinds of vegetables on the top of the soup bowl and had to dig all for the egg Foo young like a treasure hunt. The size & thickness of the egg was very thick (1/4 inch) by my estimation. Inside the egg was cooked Hash Brown shreds. I appreciated that fact but not so much drowning in soup liquid. It was a good taste, but a little more salty for my taste. I added the finely crushed Black Pepper that the restaurant provided. Now I also had an Appetizer: Pan Fried Pot Stickers. They were excellent. The other members of our party had other good stuff that in retrospect, wish I had.I give the Golden Pheasant a 4 stars rating. They didnt provide an honor to Military or Veterans with a discount. The price points were mainly starts above $12 + as a minimum. The amount of food for those prices you can order a couple of items and feed a party of 4 easily.

2023-01-25 20:20:20Delicious Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant in the South Bay. Their prices are still unbelievably low and the portions are still hefty. Dont miss on their abundant and delicious fried pork chops with spicy salt. Food is always cooked fresh and fast.None better. Always an amazing value especially these days. You can never find a better lunch special values anywhere, and it still comes with free soup and choice of fried or steamed rice.
