Golden Restaurant in Fresno

We got the special combination plate, and was very happy with it. The fried shrimp was perfectly crispy and not oily. Chow mein was also really good and the beef and broccoli was great too. The beef had a great flavor and was tender and juicy. The service was in point, I only had water but my cup was never empty for longer than what felt like seconds. Bathroom was clean, a victim of some vandals at worst. Decor was nice enough with some classic rock for ambience.

Okay... Ive been wanting to eat here since I was little. Finally, 35 plus years later, I made it in 🙂.First off, its run down AF inside. Second, the food was delicious, and the Togo service was fast. Last, I Love the OG style of the statutes outside, lol.

We had the egg fu yun plate & fried chicken plate & it was the worst Ive ever had. The fried rice & chow mein were just ok. I would never come back or recommend this place. I would say the service was great, they are very friendly & the place is cute but the food needs help.

First time customer.I was very impressed on this restaurant.Great staff very customer service oriented.The quality and quantity of their food was👍I definitely recommend this business. I definitely will be a return customer.

While my husband and I enjoy the food that the Golden Restaurant has to offer, it can be inconsistent and incomplete. Once we arrived home with our takeout order of ALMOND Chicken Chow Mein, we found that it had NO ALMONDS in it! It was definitely not what we ordered. The Golden Special Chicken is one of our favorites, but each time we order it, our orders are different with either a generous amount of onions and peppers or almost none.

Golden Dragon was our choice for Friday family dinner, we walked in with very high hopes considering all the recommendations and reviews read. We walked in to a very welcoming smell and sat in a corner table, which I am greatful the staff allowed us to accommodate my disabled leg. The air was muggy/humid and it was an uncomfortable warm atmosphere that made us break into a clamy sweat. We ordered 2 orange chicken and 1 scallop dinners as well as the appetizer sampler. We were wowd when the appetizer came as it was huge, but upon eating we looked at each other with a odd face as the tempura broccoli tasted old with a freon taste and the onion rings as well as the chicken wings were mush instead of crunchy; seems like the platter was boiled in oil. The orange chicken was not crunchy and seemed mushy, sad to say the fried scallops were the same. My girls didnt eat and wifey & I both agreed we had enough. This is the first time we didnt want to ask for a to go box but didnt want to be rude. What a shame, this was a restaurant we have been hearing nothing but great things about from just about everyone we asked where is the best place to eat Chinese food at in Fresno.The soup and fried wonton that came before our meals was the best part of our experience. We paid $70 for this meal but strongly feel it was not worth the price.

Exactly the same menu from years ago and still wonderful dishes and a huge variety of choices. So clean and the staff is right on top of everything even from plating up your leftovers for the guest.

Great food, but service is way slow. Overall, though, its a great place to eat

I ordered Pork Chow Mein, Fried Rice, 4 lrg Battered Shrimp with Sweet & Sour dipping sauce, Egg Foo Young Soup. The food was good and service was fast. The place was about 10% full. Its right off of the Tower District main street of Olive St. I recommend this

Back in my home town and its been years sence the last time I was here. Great food, Love there fried chop suey pork.Update. Back in town again and ordered pot sticker( handmade), shrimp fried rice and shrimp chop suey. Always great food.
