The service here was the amazing. The two ladies working were very nice and made sure we enjoyed our meal. There was no wait for a table and the food arrived very fast. The sizzling rice soup was amazing and tasted great with spicy chili sauce. The veggie rolls were also great, especially with the sweet and sour sauce that it came with. The shrimp chowmein was very good and not too greasy but also not dry. The shrimp was well cooked and tasted great. I enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back.

Should have paid more attention to the reviews in regards to generous portion sizes. My husband and I ordered our favorite dishes not knowing that each one could easily feed a family of four. With that said, the outside appearance will not catch your eye if driving by but the interior is very nice, quaint and super clean. The staff was so friendly and attentive and provided such great service. As for the food, I cant say enough about how good it was. We ordered a LOT and it came out very quickly. Everything was hot and fresh and the flavors were perfect. Will definitely go again but will have to try hard not to order as much but that will be a challenge as everything is so delicious 😋

Google says they close at 10pm so we went around 8:30pm. Two of us got there and they told us they close at 9:10pm. So one lady rushed us to take our orders. Ordered honey walnut shrimp, beef chow mein, and chicken fried rice. They brought it out fairly quickly. The rice was good, just a bit too greasy for my taste. Shrimp were big and were great. Chow mein had a bit of an odd flavor from what I heard. Parking is on the side. Place looked nice inside, not in a great area though.

The BEST JjamBong, Spicy Seafood Noodle, in SoCal. This JjamBong is cpmparable to ones found in Korea. I ordered SamSunJjamBong which comes with more seafood like shrimp, mussels, squid, and fish in generous portion. Everything was just perfect; the soup, vegetables, pork, seafood. When I took a bite on the shrimp, I just knew right away that this is genuine taste. Thank you to the owner/chef for serving such great food. Im bringing my family there for feast next time.

The food was decent, personally what I ordered was drenched in sauce & the chicken was almost burnt... I would not order it again. My partner got beef & it was so much better. Tasty food at a good price. We had items off the lunch menu and everything was reasonably priced. I had chicken chow mein which was more than I could eat and brought some home. Included with lunch was a small salad, a cup of hot and spicy soup, an egg roll and fried rice. The employees were all very friendly and pleasant.

Delicious! And what a beautiful restaurant! I love coming in to relax and have a good meal. The food is fresh and always tasty. The menu is designed to order for the table rather than individual meals for each person. Each item comes in huge portions that are sharable for a family or small group. During lunch hours mon-fri they have a great affordable lunch menu that you can order individual meals. They have such good service too. They are very friendly and attentive to their guests and want to ensure that you enjoy your food.

Ordered some orange chicken, beef and broccoli and hot and sour soup. To he honest, the beef itself didnt have too much flavor but the overall flavor was great. The orange chicken could have been crispier - try ordering the sauce on the side. Overall it was delicious.But the best thing I had was the hot and sour shrimp soup. My god that was so good, and Im thinking about it right now which is why I wrote this review. Give it a try.

First time eating at this place, food was ok. We were asked if we were going to pay cash or credit card when we place the food order, we said credit card, to our surprise the tip was added 20% to the bill, I asked why and we were told that tips are added automatically. I spoke to an older Asian lady which didnt have a friendly attitude and I asked her to remove the tip from the bill and she did but with attitude. We left a cash tip but Im happy that we read the bill because we usually leave cash on the table.Not nice.

Im not going to lie and say the food and customer service is bad because thats not true the only thing I didnt like is that everytime i pay with cash or credit card they go ahead with out asking put there tip as GRATUITY and they put whatever amount they want I dont think thats fair because we didnt notice this until yesterday and Im sure they have been doing this for the past couple of times because the bill is alway higher than you would expect

Valley Glen is quite the food desert and usually that means the area would have endless chains or affordable restaurants on every corner... that is not the case here. I’ve located numerous amounts of restaurants with Chinese cuisine and they have either been overpriced, low quality, or in most cases both. Golden Sky is fortunately the perfect happy medium for my personal preference. I don’t want the 4 stars to reflect any negative experience, I just feel that the quality could be a higher grade very easily but due to the pandemic, I totally understand restaurants cutting corners to survive. Friendly staff. Fast service. Good food. I’d definitely recommend.

I have been ordering from Golden Sky for at least 5 years. The service is really quick and the food is always hot and delicious . I love reusing the great containers afterwards. I have never had a bad meal and I have ordered from them consistently usually on Sunday nights. Delivery people are always super nice. I really recommend this place and if you get a chance go into the restaurant. Its really nice.

My parents and I liked it the first time we went and ate inside the restaurant, but when we ordered it to go few months ago, then again last month, it wasnt very good. I like to support local restaurants, but its questionable with this place..... Being Koreans AND having lived in Korea for years before moving to the States, weve had so many of these kinds of Korean style Chinese food (the black bean noodles and the spicy seafood noodle soup are Korean style Chinese foods), so we have a standard, but unfortunately, this place is really questionable when it comes to the quality of food. Its pretty bland and not spicy enough. The soup my mother makes is WHOLE lot better to be honest.... Too bad she wasnt home the last time we ordered it... Will have to see about this place a bit more sadly...

Food is great, I eat here often, it is under new management, funny how the few bad reviews are people who only have one review to their name. One compares Chinese food to Thai food.... Hello they are different. I have tried most of the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Oh and to the guy complaining about no rice, did you order rice? They are not mind readers.

The closest I can find to NYC style Chinese food. And the quickest, freshest service. Without exaggeration, I get my order within 5 to 7 minutes every time and you can hear it being made.UPDATE ****Since I wrote this 2 years ago, I wanted to update. They did a little remodel, nice floors and a few other touches. Same great food and fast made-to-order food!Current hours include a 9:30pm closing time Mon-Thu. (June 4, 2018).

I went there recently but the last time I went it was about 4 years ago. My dad wanted to go because he remembers they serve big plates of food. So we went after our weekly walk. We entered the building and you can see that it’s been kinda a long time since they updated the place. We were welcomed nicely and quickly seated. As we walked I noted the floor was really sickly and with every step I took it made a sound. We sat in the really worn down booth bench. I rested my arm on the table and the table was also sticky probably because the coat of sealer on it was worn down too. Anyways we got service pretty fast and the owner was really kind. We ordered one boba thai ice tea and one without, shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, beef with broccoli and lettuce wraps. I took the one with boba. The food felt okay, it wasn’t good but the conversation I had with my family kinda made the food taste better. I stared at the art work and wondered how long it took to make ceiling. We ordered boxes and took our food. Once I was in the car going home, I heard my stomach growling as I drank from my boba Thai tea and the boba felt weird inside. It wasn’t squishy in the inside and felt like crumbs while the outside felt like normal boba should be. I got home and my stomach started to hurt. I curled into a ball in my bed for about 3 hours and I felt weak. I felt like I was going to faint. Then suddenly I felt my stomach kick and I ran to my bathroom and vomited four times. It burnt my throat every time, I thought it was over and I was glad that I got it all out of my system. But since I throw up my food and was under a lot stress that day with college work and my friends ignoring me for months now. I went crazy, I had a big panic attack/breakdown. My parents didn’t know what to do but they were hungry so we went out to get some pizza from Blaze pizza. We got there and I couldn’t control my emotions, I was angry, upset and I felt like I was never going to fell better. I ordered my pizza while half crying and trying to keep myself upright. I layed in the table as I finished my order and waited with my family at the table for our pizza. We got our pizza and people just stared at me because I was crying while eating pizza. My mother decided its best if we just go home and I get some rest. We went home and I fell asleep, I woke up drenched in sweat but I was okay. From now on I won’t step in a restaurant that lacks the energy to even clean up building because the food might even be worse.
