2023-06-24 04:39:46Lovely collection of menu items, with plenty of vegetarian and carnivore dishes to choose from. The beets and calamari stood out, but eggplant was a top contender.Fun and lively atmosphere, decorated with subtle flair and eclectic touches. A bit noisy, but thats part of the allure.Very helpful and pleasant service. Owners frequent the floor and pull their weight, which shows in the resulting excellently trained staff.

2023-09-29 22:50:44Love this place! The beet salad was as delicious as it was beautiful. Enjoyed the shrimp ceviche with a little bit of heat. The lemon posset with berries was a perfect ending. Interior has been redone with comfortable banquettes and striking light fixtures.On this visit, I tried the scrumptious Afternoon Delight cocktail special. So pretty! Many other diners were ordering it too. The heirloom tomato panzanella came with a flavorful gazpacho sauce. The blackberry crumble was the ideal finale.

2023-09-03 00:08:44Great restaurant right in downtown Sebastopol that focused on small plates heavily leveraging local ingredients. Staff did a great job of accommodating us outside so that we could eat there (since we had our dog with us). We’d definitely return.

2023-05-21 22:39:59What a wonderful new addition to the Sebastopol dining scene! Everything was delicious and showcased the bounty of Sonoma County and local purveyors. The service was top notch. Everyone from the hostess to the runners were happy to help and had a smile of their face. Our server Ariana was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. We can’t wait to dine at Goldfinch again!

2023-11-26 03:14:49Really happy we came in on a whim, but well definitely make reservations for next time, it was pretty crowded. Sitting at the bar we were able to see basically every dish being made and presented, and we wanted all of them! Great vibe, great cocktails, great food... well definitely come back.

Local, fresh but a tad over dressed and over flavored.With ingredients that are this fresh and of such quality, I think they could hold back about 15 or 20% on the salt and the flavorings and salad dressing to let the ingredients shine. I had two drinks and I’ll have to admit the first one had hardly any alcohol in it, which was bit disappointing, it was a mixed drink with lemon and whiskey, and it was delicious… but, It certainly could have been enhanced with about 15% more alcohol both for flavor and for kick.. The second one was exquisite, it was a Manhattan, (and was well balanced)…. you can’t really skimp on the alcohol there.We ordered grilled shrimp, among several other things and although they looked perfectly done, they were in fact, a bit over cooked. They turned out too white and chalky without any level of translucency that I think a good grilled shrimp should have.

2023-10-02 03:33:09Food was good quality. Two of us had Prime Rib. It was thin and Overcooked. Two of us had Chicken. It was good. Cesar, Focaccia and Fries were all delicious. I ordered a MaiTai but I think I got a Margarita?! I felt like it was very expensive for what we received. Spent $375 with tip for 4 of us…we did order a tortellini to go. It felt very light so I opened it, it had 6 pieces in it :/

Brenda was probably the best server Ive ever had in a dining experience - so calm, knowledgeable and welcoming.Beets were not only beautiful but delicious and paired amazingly with the rosemary focaccia pull aparts (warm and fluffy).The steak frites was executed nicely but the star of the meal was the housemade ricotta tortellini. The delicata squash sauce is heavenly.

2023-10-01 23:33:39We went today for lunch and everything was delicious! The facaccia was a must have, the calamari was cooked to perfection, the halibut ceviche and tortellini were devine. Wish we had time and room for dessert. Next time. Only disappointment was the shrimp skewers, cooking in their shell does keep them moist, although all the flavor was on the shell.The service was wonderful and the decor was bright and comfortable ✨️

2023-08-04 02:58:43Wow! Just wow! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Kalyla we knew we were in the right place. She was so welcoming with a sweet genuine smile. The staff all seemed very happy to be there and more importantly were very attentive to our “experience”. The vibe was top notch but unpretentious. Deanna made sure we were well taken care of and made the time with us not feeling rushed to have to move on. Oh! Did I mention the food?? We had the zucchini, oysters, Calamari and the ribeye. All perfectly cooked and presented. We will definitely be back.A breath of fresh air, restoring our faith in local cuisine and service.
