Garbage.. A 3rd rate restaurant.The food is not fresh & the customer service REALLY SUCKS now. I usually tip well but..no.Maria the fake manager has a LAME attitude. She isnt smart enough to manage anything, even handling the phone shes extremely incompetent.Tiny rolls with dry hard rice possibly from the day before and the fish was very dry, hard & tasteless. Threw it away so we didnt get sick. Are they recycling food from other diners plates? Seems like it, getting desperate.*Owner Justin does not care. He owns Red Salmon in Lancaster too..same poor customer service & declining food as this place. Been a customer here for 12 years but no more. Chefs Chico & Danny are cool but that doesnt make up for everything else.*This place is garbage. Shogun,Harbour & Blue Maki are better choices with fresh great quality food & respectable service.

Manager and customer Service was terrible I ordered beef Yaskisoba. When I bit into the food I tasted something that was burnt. When I turned on the light I noticed the food had about a 1/2 cup full of burnt particles mixed in it. I immediately called them I spoke to someone name Liz. I asked to speak to a manager she told me they were gone for the night. Therefore I had to wait until the morning. First thing the following day I phone I spoke with a manager she asked for the receipt number, than she asked me to send pictures of the food. I complied once she received everything she told me that the owner said they were not doing anything and that I should have brought the food back last night. Horrible management not only were they rude as hell they did not even offer to make there wrong right.

It was absolutely delicious. Great rolls and not a bad price at all. Well worth it. They took a tad bit longer with the fried rolls but even then, those came out amazingly. Definitely coming back!

Great rolls, oysters in the half shell are amazing, sushi 🍣 I love my salmon. Try the caterpillar roll. Good service 👍 & very busy so it always means great food

This place was not the best. The ramen we had was bland and the spicy tuna roll was just ok. Their Heart Attack and Gyoza were the only things we ordered that we liked. Our waitress Isabella(?) was pleasant, so that was nice but other than that, everything was not great. (Maybe we just came on an off night?) I wanted to like this place because a lot of my friends in the Lancaster area have said that it’s awesome, but it was kind of a letdown to be honest.

This joint just keep on losing quality by the visit.$10.25 Rolls are mostly rice with little fish and taste to it. $5.25 Sushi is uninspired...dont even get me roiled up on that 32 pc almost $60 sashimi that doesnt even hold a chopstick to Harbour sushi quality whenever they answer their phone. Been a sucker for a while but no more. There are better options. If you still patronize this joint, then go for it but at least review the quality or raise your standards.

We went to this place on a whim because I was craving Sushi and boy was I happy I ordered the 7 piece Yellow Tail Sashimi and could not believe how fresh and big the pieces were,it was so incredibly delicious and the Baked Spicy Scallop roll was perfectly hot and sweet also the spicy Tuna rolls good and Hot. My husband ordered the Shrimp fried rice he was happy with it, he commented that he liked that they put veggies in it,hes becoming quite the critic like his wife🤣

The sushi here is very fresh. Well cut and prepared delicately. There is a good variety of rolls as well. Typically Uni is available and the do have soft shell crab which is not greasy.Beers are cold and the servers are friendly. Good to go if you need some sushi!

My experience at Goldfish Japanese Restaurant was decent overall. The food had its moments of goodness, but there were also aspects that fell short of my expectations. The sushi was fresh, but some of the other dishes lacked that same level of quality. The service was attentive, but a bit inconsistent at times. While it may not have been an outstanding experience, it still offered a reasonable dining option for Japanese cuisine.

Family owned Sushi Bar with a nice selection of premium fish. Great sushi at good pricesIf Steve is your sushi chef, you will always have the upper end of sushi spectrum...Always a wait at this sushi joint.. plenty of space outside for the overflow.Halibut and Escolar were amazing. And they also serve a very GENEROUS serving of yellowtail collar. Come to think of it, their portions were generous for the items I ordered. Good value, good sushi. Very attentive service.Love the food so so much and always enjoy the sushi chefs.Not a lot of personality from the servers most of the time. You will get seated pretty quickly and its always busy when we have been there so I see that they strive for efficiency mostly and that works for them small place so gotta move us in and out quickly.Always clean and always good.. servers arent always in your face so its a place my hubby and I like to go for meetings and conversation. You can ask for items to be customized and I love that. Great drinks at good prices..Where the sushi chiefs know your name...

Came to Red Salmon tonight with a group of 8 to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. I tried to call in advance to get a reservation or join the list, and they said they dont do that, so we showed up earlier than planned at 540pm. on a Wednesday. They offered us at a booth that would fit 6 comfortably. We declined and asked to wait for a table.. We were added to the list. At 630pm, I went in to check the status of our table, but there were, pations still finishing up their meal. Hostesses said 20 more mins. Waited an additional 30 mins. and saw that some of the parties had left, so we went inside, and a member of our group went to the restroom. They had set up our part of our table, and were waiting on 1 group of 2 to leave so they could use their table. There were additional small tables empty that could have been moved to accommodate our group, but they left them empty. The hostess came over and rudley told us to wait outside I asked if we could sit at the part of the table that was open to wait and she said no, so we told her nevermind we will be going somewhere else that the wait was too long, and we all went outside except my sister who was waiting for her boyfriend to get back from the restroom to tell him about the change of plans. The hostess approached my sister and again was rude and told her to wait outside. She explained that she was waiting for her bf who was returning from the restroom at this point and heard how she was speaking to my sister and he said we would be dining elsewhere. And they walked out. A few seconds later the hostess came outside and said she can seat us now (even though the other group hadnt left). We declined and left. I have been going to Red Salmon since it opened, and over the last year, the quality and service had gone down, but we understood because they are short staffed. But their rude hostess was the final straw. We will not be returning anytime soon.

My husband ordered the Snow White, California, and Crunch rolls.My favorite was the California roll. Second was the Crunch, least was the Snow white because I dont like warm cream cheese.Other than that, it was all delicious. My children ordered the chicken bowls. All tasty and good portion size.

I’ve been coming to Goldfish for 15 years with my family and the service has plummeted terribly!!! Within the last three years I have been verbally disrespected by staff including a chef (the one with glasses) calling me names as I walked back to my seat from taking my son to the restroom. All for my order being incorrect because I’m rushed through ordering every time I’m there. After their mistakes I’m blamed for the poor delivery of food and service. This is the last time I’m giving another chance to this disgusting place. Literally with my children and this is how they treat their customers. This used to be a place for small celebrations and milestones for my family. Completely insane the change in atmosphere. They need new management and staff!!! It’s gross.

Ive only been here a few times. The last two times I went I got food poisoning. I wouldnt have gone this last time if my friends didnt want to go there so bad. I probably wont be back, but the few experiences I had before the last two were pretty good.

I feel its a little more expensive than I prefer. 2 rolls are 28$. Lollipop is delicious, this has no rice. Rainbow roll. Shrimp Crunch roll. Miso soup is good. Usually a wait time around dinner. You cannot put your name down of you are not physically there.

This was really good and the chef, Chico, was awesome! He was funny too and if you get to sit at the sushi bar, you get to watch him make the food and he will even let you try some seaweed! I came with my grandkids and they loved him! We highly recommend this place! 😄

Took my mom out for lunch; not only is it reasonably priced at lunch (I ordered a bento box) but I wouldnt have an issue going during dinner. The food and service was great. I will say there will be a wait time but definitely worth it.

This store has amazing sushi at very low prices. I always go when i visit palmdale. The quality of the sushi is very high. I would have given five stars but i did not because the service is poor quality. Even if it is empty the waiters dont check in on you and it is hard to get their attention if you need something. I would suggest eating at the sushi bar. You get better service there.

I would normally give 5 stars, but I had an awful experience. Great food needs to be accompanied with an amazing atmosphere. On this day the atmosphere was horrid. They sat us by the door and every time the door opened, I froze. My hands were literally frozen by the time I left. I mentioned I to our server, she apologized, but that was it. So I mentioned to the cashier, she apologized and said she could move us once a table became free. This would be after our food arrived. I had to keep asking people to please close the door. It was just a bad experience. I been here several times, ordered takeout during the covid shut down and really tried to support this business. I may have to find a new sushi restaurant.

Our favorite spot for sushi. There are a lot of mediocre sushi restaurants in the high dessert, but this one is for sure the best in the area. Red Salmon in Lancaster is apparently owned by the same people, but Goldfish is so much better, somehow it always tastes fresher. I would give zero stars if I could! This seaweed was not fresh, the crab and shrimp tasted fishy, and when we asked to take off one of the rolls off of our bill they said their policy was that you can’t take things off of bills. Unless you want bad food I don’t recommend this place

This place is not interested in customers or making money. When I arrived there were 8 empty tables and plenty of wait staff. Then was told that there was a 1 1/2 hour wait due to a list of customers ahead of me. There was no one waiting inside or outside waiting to be seated. I waited for over 20 minutes and the 8 tables were still empty when I left.The sushi chefs were just standing around doing nothing because there were 8 empty tables and potential customers are being told that there is a 1 1/2 hour wait with 8 empty tables. I will never return no matter how tasty people may say this place is.

Decided to try this place last night for my birthday since my original sushi choice was closed. I was a little bummed they were all out of the takoyaki since I had been wanting to try that. The waitresses seemed a little cranky and did give me a bit of a hard time over a highchair for my 2 year old. I almost left but I honestly didnt wanna go all the way back to another area for sushi. We did like most of the rolls we tried. I loved the lemon salmon roll and the rattlesnake was the best. The only one I wasnt too happy with was the tempura salmon. The fish inside the roll was a little too fishy like it was starting to turn. I was glad my children found things they liked to eat since they can be pretty picky. 4 stars since I did enjoy the food. It would of been 5 if the staff had been more friendly and explained their ordering system in the beginning and didnt roll their eyes at me when I mentioned there was food that hadnt arrived yet.

This place is great! Excellent food, friendly service, clean restrooms, what more can you want!? They were very busy and they don’t have an indoor waiting area so my hubby and I browsed the bike shop and Rite Aid while we waited. They call on your cell when your table is ready. We only waited about 20 minutes but as it got busier I overheard people being told it would be 30-40 minutes. From the other reviews here it sounds like you can easily wait an hour during their busiest times. So plan on there being a wait especially if you come on a weekend. Great date night!

This restaurant seems to be one of the better sushi restaurants in the Palmdale/Lancaster area. Compared to the rest of southern California, Id give the place three stars, but Im gonna just rate it how it compares to other restaurants in its neighborhood. I dont think that its fair to expect it to compete with the restaurants in more affluent communities.That being said, my biggest complaint is that my seafood ramen didnt have an egg in it.

Worst experience ever at this place!I ordered the tiger roll which comes with shrimp tempura and upon taking my first bite I discovered the shrimp was pretty much ice cold leading me to believe the food must not be fresh here!I asked my waitress to take it back and have it removed from the bill which they declined to do saying that I had already eaten some of it??Well yes I had taken 2 bites, one when I realized the tempura was ice cold and then a second bite thinking maybe just the first piece was cold but the conclusion was that the whole roll was cold instead of warm like it should have been I asked them to at very least to discount it as it was not prepared correctly and was told absolutely not.Second issue was my wife had ordered a roll and specifically asked for no garnish or green onions and her roll arrived with both! We tried to scrape off the onions and garnish and she tried it and could still taste it and we mentioned it to the waitress and were told oops! We’re sorry about that!The service and food has gone downhill over the last two years since the pandemic which is sad as this used to be one of our favorite places but after the horrible service and horrible food we were served we won’t support them again.

I stopped going here a few years back because they opened Red Salmon which is much closer to my home, however things have changed dramatically over there and so I’ve returned to this location. The new staff is on point, fast, friendly, and reliable. The sushi is cold when it needs to be and hot when you want it to be. I am glad one of the two locations has it all figured out. BF and I went on a Tuesday night, figured less people=better service, oh boy were we wrong. I ordered beef teriyaki, which was brought to me relatively fast, but it literally looked like they scraped the bottom of the frying pan. The meat was charred black and not at all edible, grossest food Ive had in a while. My bf had sushi which he said was decent, but the wait was insane. He was served about 20 minutes after I was. The Waitress was inexplicably rude, not sure if its her first time being a server and doesnt know much customer service, or she flat out does not care. Maybe its just lack of common sense, at one point she sprayed the table next to us (which was less than a foot away) pointing our direction straight towards our food. Thats when we were done!

The manager maria was disrespectful to multiple customers, her tone of voice and responses were unnecessary. After waiting for almost 45 minutes to be seated with more than 5 tables empty, with my party being of two, staff never came to retrieve guess to be seat until customers walked in to inquire what was the wait.After being serve my food quickly I began to notice many of the staff appeared to be under the influence. The serves were drunk, rude, and unfortunately the worst servers I have ever experienced.I have come here for over 3 years and in the past have had some of the best food in the area.But tonight my Green Mussels was served were spoiled and inedible. I asked for a fresh batch but was treated as though I did not know any better.In the 1 hour of dining, the staff walked off the floor serval times and left customers waiting for their checks. I alone sat for over 10 minutes awaiting to pay my bill and did not appreciate the attitude given because the Mussels the second time were still inedible.Their were serval of the wait staff screaming belligerently throughout this establishment and seem to have no one in control.The owner definitely needs to hire qualified servers in order to win my business over again. This was an odder embarrassment and I sadly will not be returning.

The in house experience is pretty good. Go early because they dont currently have much seating. Service is attentive and the quality of the food is fine. I would be wary of calling in orders. In my experience, they dont pay as much attention to the phones as they should and the time it takes to make an order is unreliable. Overall, it is a good place.

The worst service ever. Cashier Maria had a bad attitude from the start. She said food would be ready in 30 minutes and after 35 it was still not ready. Very rudely she told us to wait outside. After 10 additional minutes, I felt I had it enough and went inside to check again. One of the servers asked one of the guys making the rolls on the status of my order and he said, “I’ll make it right now”. Are you kidding me. The food should have been ready 15 minutes ago. Had I not checked a third time my order would have sat there. To top it off, my orders did not have wasabi or ginger, a must have with sushi. Also, my daughter’s rolls were badly made, falling apart, as though he made them with his feet. I wish I could post photos. I will never go back and certainly will tell my co-workers about my experience so they can go somewhere else with their business. Poor management.

The food was amazing, the only reason why I left a 2 star is it’s not for the food, but for customer service .. & that is a big part of it. We had a server named Maria & she made it felt unpleasant for us to be there when we ordered dinner. I know what it’s like to work for customers, as I was in customer service for many years before my current occupation in the military. I am a big peoples person. When I was ready to order my entree after ordering my appetizer she was very blunt and rude that she wasn’t “taking any orders but appetizers” while rolling her eyes and brushing it off. Luckily, a different & very polite server (Skinny with tats) took our order for us before she clocked out. While we were waiting for our orders, I notice Maria not being very attentive & very talkative & flirtatious with the employees behind the bar. They were talking about inappropriate things in front of customers & using vulgar languages, swearing and talking about peoples private parts. Not the place to be doing that especially in front of customers. We were sitting there waiting for our bill after we finished eating and waiting to place a second to go order for at least 30 mins before I decided to speak up about it and it took me three times to get her attention because she was off topic having a conversation with her fellow employees. I tried to be patient about it, because I understand ya’ll are understaffed but it doesn’t take much to check up on customers, do your job & sham on the low with your homies behind the counter. As far as I’m concerned my party was pretty polite and chill, she just seemed like she was having a bad day. Discipline goes a long way, it’s not that hard.

I went here with my boyfriend. All was going good we ordered our food and was waiting. My boyfriend got his food and I sat there waiting for mine in the time it took to get my food 2 basic rolls he finished his big bowl of ramen, and 3 groups of people came in way after us, ordered there food specialty rolls to and got them and finished eating them in the time it took just to get my two very basic rolls. It took 30 plus minutes from the time my boyfriend got his food for them to even prepare mine.

This place was pretty packed for a Sunday night at closing time! That being said the waitress took one of my rolls to the wrong table and when realized they made it right by giving us an appetizer roll on the house! They brought the roll that I ordered and then brought the other one shortly after! They were all bomb and promptly got devoured! This place use to be a great place to go to for sushi, but apparently their customer service is going down hill. My wife and I alway spend $140+ and leave a 30 dollar or more tip for the staff. But his time the lady taking my wife’s order was rude as all hell and when she asked if they can write on the boxes what was inside she blatantly said yeah no we are to busy. I have Cancer and can’t eat raw fish that’s why we ordered baked rolls and asked for them to write on the boxes. But apparently good customer service has gone out the window, along with receiving an attitude while placing a order in person. Looks like it’s time to find a new sushi place to eat at.

Have been going here for years but unfortunately the quality has dropped off dramatically. I got an eel bowl for 13 dollars, plus tip and taxes, and they gave me maybe 4-5 tiny slices of unagi, along with a giant pile of ginger. like, half the dang plate was ginger, it was like they had too much and had to get rid of it. They had been doing this to me the last few times I went there and I dont know why I didnt complain then but this last time was ridiculous, it was comical how big the ginger pile was. They obviously do this so that I dont know that im being ripped off until I get home so that its less convenient to ask for a refund, since it weighs more thanks to all the ginger. They also put the ginger right on the eel so it gets all cold by the time I get home and ruins the flavor....you dont even need ginger with eel since its cooked and the ginger is a palate cleanser and digestive aid. I paid 13 dollars plus tip and taxes for a ginger and rice bowl falsely labeled as unagi bowl. Absolutely terrible, no clue why people rave about this place, there are way better japanese restaurants in the AV. they must pay for all the good reviews...

Excellent service, delicious sushi! I came on a very busy Saturday night around 7:45 p.m. I was greeted the moment I walked in by a very friendly server, and he had my to-go order already packed up for me. My phone order went smoothly, and the lady couldnt have been nicer. I think her name was Ariana. I had a spicy tuna roll and a double salmon roll, and they were both fresh and delicious. Very well put together rolls, with plenty of fresh fish stuffed inside. I will definitely come back, keep up the good work!

After years of continuously going back to Goldfish, their quality and care for their costumers has declined. I never see the same staff anymore or any familiar faces and this could be because of how poorly the establishment is run. Currently I’m up in the air about this place. I was in the area as noticed all the traffic this restaurant had so when my sister invited me to another place we frequent I asked her if we could try Goldfish. She said the rice was tasty but the fish wasn’t as good as our usual place. I took a bite of the grilled shrimp and broccoli and it tasted like fuel. At first I thought it was me. I asymmetric sister who by the way is a chef to taste it. She was of the same opinion. With a little effort we caught the attention of a server because by now the place was full. She apologized and asked if I wanted a replacement, a new dish or a refund. I opted for the ginger chicken. She took the entrée and left the rice and salad. This time my order took so long I had to ask them to pack it to go. It was time to pick my son up from school. I have to admit the ginger chicken smelled delicious. The waitress brought the bill and she explained how she gave us a 20% discount. We thanked her and left. While waiting for the new entrée I did eat my salad which was fresh but the dressing was bland. I didn’t eat my rice because I didn’t come for white rice. I was surprised to see the to go package only had the ginger chicken in it. Maybe you can see why I am on the fence here. They tried to make it right which I appreciate. The food appeared to be good and everyone has a bad day. I just don’t know if at those prices I want to chance it again. My sister got one cup of hot tea, more batter than shrimp and although they replaced the entrée it took so long I had no time to try it. Then no rice in the to go.

I had an absolutely wonderful time here with a large group of friends. Our food tasted delicious and the environment was lovely, however, there were several negative points to my experience here. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask a few times for our drinks to be ordered. (The house sake is NOT drinkable.) This afternoon I called for a take out order. I was told 45 minutes. I arrived after 60 minutes. I was told that my order wasn’t ready, but I could pay, which I did as well as a tip. Prices are decent, actually cheaper than other places in the area. Each item is around $8 to $10. Their bowl portions are HUGE. Had the chicken teriyaki bowl with egg added but there wasnt much egg. Second time we went was around 4pm. Took 45 minutes to get our food and it was cold. Even though we got some baked rolls (which take longer and come from the kitchen) people around us that ordered bowls and Ramon/noodles other kitchen food were served first even though they arrived 15 minutes after us. The rolls are always on the bigger side but they fell apart on the plate when you touched one beside it. Definitely recommend sitting at the bar.

Unbelievable! I’m writing about an incident that happened about an hour ago. My granddaughter & family ordered lunch. Their appetizer was not up to par & the order of just avocado slices that they ordered for their little girl didn’t come until they were done with their meal & then they brought 2 orders & wanted to charge them for the second one. Next was the worst she handed them a gift certificate that I had given them for their anniversary & the waiter accused them of fabricating the certificate right in front of other customers. How embarrassing. My granddaughter called me & I came to the restaurant & showed them were I had charged the certificate on my credit card on February 9th for $50. They finally honored the certificate & my granddaughter paid the balance. It was an unnecessary scene that will keep all of us from returning to the restaurant. We’ve lived in this valley over 40 years & I can tell you today was not good. I was hoping that another incident that we had a Red Salmon was maybe just a bad day for your restaurants. We were there about a month ago & dishes & glasses were dirty & it seemed we were putting people out letting them know. The two restaurants are beginning to go down hill for sure. The food here is always really tasty - they make pretty good sushi for a restaurant in the middle of the desert. However, as theyve grown in popularity their service has taken a bit of a hit. If you go during peak hours, expect to be ignored. They really should hire some more waiters and waitresses, at least during the dinner rush. I loved their food here. The sushis were really good. And the sashimis were so fresh, it felt like melted in my mouth. We were a bunch of people ordered different types of food. Its AV sushi so it is what it is. Dont expect superb fish. I usually get sushi in LA when Im down there but when Im having a craving I go to Goldfish or Harbour by Target. I like their yummy crunch, philly, bulgogi, and lollipop.Oh and they take forever. No matter when I order, they quote you 40 minutes but its never ready when you arrive. Add 5-10 mins to the estimate.

Excellent food. Great service. The staff is very nice. The portions are great. If sushi isnt really your cup of tea, they have ramen noodles, chicken or beef bowls and more. The beef bowl is great. Ill usually order a beef bowl or ramen noodles along with a roll or two of sushi. The tempura is also great. The nigori is an excellent alcohol I always get as well.

By far one of the best Japanese restaurants in the AV. We normally get the Ramon (spicy is my favorite) or the Udon (any flavor) is great. Recommended the Calamari Tempura Roll. Lobster Roll also good. And the prices are just right. I highly recommend this place for locals or travelers.

Why would anyone think they are going to get the most delicious sushi in a town that borders on the desert so it was with some scepticism I agreed to give it a try Oh my goodness - we sat at the bar and watched the talented chefs, under the watchful eye of the chef patron, put together the most delicious creations.The patron took a huge amount of time and trouble to make sure we understood the menu he then just suggested what to eat.We had a lovely lovely evening and could not want for better food. As we left there was a LONG line for tables - I am not surprised. We are passing through but am sure there are many regulars at this gem

The family and I love going to Goldfish. The sushi is great and the atmosphere is welcoming. My favorite appetizer is the salmon collar served with ponzu sauce. Amazing! Just be cautious of the actual collarbone when chowing down. It can be somewhat sharp.

Best sushi in the antelope valley. Very busy, which keeps the fish fresh and they restock with fresh fish 3-4 days a week. Fish is always fresh and the rolls are very creative and tasty. The rolls taste good and the fish seems fresh, but definitely missing a few elements to make this more than 2 stars. Pretty dissapointed at the lack of thouroghness on a take out order.
