The food is decent but they are closed every time I try to go and their business hours listed at the door and online do not reflect when they are actually open. Ive tried going around 1pm each time, at a different day of the week and have not been able to catch this place open.
Im a very picky eater and I fell in love with the rice. The staff has to be the nicest out of all the restaurants in yucca, definitely recommend! And they overfill the plate!
Came into this place unplanned after offroading at Giant Rock with the family. The orange chicken and teriyaki chicken is perhaps the best in this desert valley. We were highly satisfied and happy.
It made me very sad to drop by at 3pm on a Tuesday and find the place closed. I hope all is well or will be soon. This is one of our favorite places! 🥰
This place way over rated. I should have been alerted before I walked in the door that this restaurant was rated C by the posted notice on the door by the health department.The garbage containers to the left were overflowing and the food in open trays behind the counter were not covered even though we were the only customers in the place.The staff did not wear hair protectors or gloves while leaning over to scoop up the food. I found a hair in my meal which wasn’t very appetizing. The rice was dry and flavorless.The chow mein was some sort of noodle that had the similar taste of the rice. The vegetables were not bad.My recommendation: Stay away from this place regardless of the fake reviews, the health department has this right.
The food isnt that good. I know alot of the locals rave about the food here. However they dont know what good taste is. They are the pnly place that serve sweet and sour pork, wish they would make the sauce correctly.
I went in for the first time .I was greeted by a wonderful young lady around 6pm so friendly .I looked over the food picked some items .the food was good .I moved here from Texas and its not bad .There are not many choices up her for Chinese food but china star is pretty good .The bbq pork and as delicious and the teriyaki chicken so flavorfully and tender .I would say give it a try sometime

I ate the whole comb B, that was excellent 🥤🍲😋💦👍. Better than 🐼 and cost less. It was so good that, I ate the whole thing. Place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Highly recommend to folks in town.

Your standard (and favorite) American Chinese dishes. We got the Family Dinner Package. It was a huge amount of food for $40. Every dish was done well. It lasted us 2 meals. Very good and comforting food. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Massive shout out to Nikki, she has the best customer service i have seen in a long time. They were out of the bbq ribs which is a must for me and she recommended another product and even gave me a sample first. She went out of her way to make my day to include getting some fresh and hot cream cheese wonton. Food tasted amazing !
Ash was very helpful and kind. I have a sensitive tummy and first Chinese restaurant to never make me sick and the food is so fresh. Especially the house fried rice. Wow talk about fresh. Worth every dollar and more. If they charged more I would pay more because its worth it.

Ive been here many times and the ladies are so sweet I love them!!! This is the only Chinese food we go to in town so they recognize my family and I and they always provided great service for everyone. They will serve big portions of food for such low price and you will still have left overs so its definitely worth going!!! Best of all my favorite drinks have to be the Thai tea with bobba. This place is affordable for a family of four or more I highly recommend going to this place then any other Chinese food place in Yucca Valley.

Delicious place to go eat food! Ive reviewed many places and this is by far one of the best places to go eat delicious chinese food. Great customer service! Amazing all around! Little piece of heaven in and around yucca. I highly recommend them and their hot n sour soup they definitely put their own twist on it ^-^ Love it!
We normally love this place, they have really good food at great prices however the last two times we’ve been there a specific gentleman doesn’t know what he’s doing. The first time we had 4 combos all with chicken teriyaki in them and we got two sauces to share amongst us the second time same thing we had 3 combos, my husband specifically asked for 2 sauces for each combo we get home and there’s two sauces to share again. It’s disappointing that guy needs to go! You can tell the other employees are annoyed by him asking over and over how to do something. You’re serving from a buffet line and people are telling you specifically what they want it’s not rocket science! We won’t be back until that guy is gone.
Way better than p*nda xpress, and they give you generous portions. The food is surprisingly good and flavorful and the server lady is always so nice. They have quite a variety of sides. I come to eat here with my family whenever we are in town for lunch and feel like Chinese food. Its the kind of place you go back for their food, not just the covenience.Small dining area but most people take out and dont stay to eat.

The food is good and fresh. My reason for frequent stops in from 29 is their Thai tea with boba which is delicious. Unfortunately they tend to put too much ice so Ill have to start asking for less.

We just picked up an order to go. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.This food isn’t even edible. Absolutely disgusting. I would come back to get all our money back but they are closing. All this food is trash. The chicken doesn’t taste like chicken, the rice is wet and soggy and tastes awful, the wontons in the soup are all ripped apart, water logged and also taste like garbage. Substantial room for improvement exists. The positive is that your dollar buys a lot of weight.The negatives deal with everything else:- Lo Mein was tasteless and consisted of three ingredients: cabbage, oil, and unnaturally orange noodles. Unfortunately your container is at least half Lo Mein or Rice. I regret opting for only Lo Mein by passing on the fried rice, that is at least harder to make inedible.- Spicy Orange Chicken was neither spicy nor mostly chicken. After the first two bites I started dissecting each piece to find the chicken buried beneath the copious amounts of fried batter. My findings were that only the larger pieces even had any chicken in them, and it was only barely detectable and completely dried out at that. The medium and smaller size pieces were completely breading. Chicken isnt even expensive and that many pieces of pure fried batter should never make it out of the kitchen. In terms of spice: there was none. I eat Chinese all over the country and I cant recall a place messing up a chicken dish this badly.- Pepper Steak was better than the other two but only just. The onions and green bell peppers were not over done or underdone, so thats something. The beef itself was slimy in texture and just about the most chewy grizzly piece of beef I have tried to eat in recent history. You do get a decent amount of beef in the dish but I was left wishing I didnt. This was all capped off with a cup of runny forgettable sauce.A look into quality vs quantity needs to be looked at seriously here. Everything screamed lowest dollar option possible. Please reduce the amount served by a third and put some edible food in the container instead.At $9.69 the highlight of my 2 choice dinner was the can of Coca-Cola I had.
I had a B combo with both rice n chowmain, mushroom chicken and teriyaki chicken was very dry no teriyaki sauce, only had 2 mushrooms. All tasted good even the dry teriyaki chicken.

Ordered Combo B: Chow Mein & Fried Rice with Broccoli Beef & BBQ Chicken.It tasted great, and if Im ever passing through Yucca Valley again, Id stop by here before any of the chain restaurants. Enjoyed the chow mein and BBQ chicken the most! Filling and solid portions!Couple flies were buzzing around, so not the most ideal. That keeps them from getting a 5 star for me. Its still worth it if youre used to trying restaurants from hole in the wall status up to a 5 star Michelin rating

2022-10-28 22:27:04THIS SCORING IS RELATIVE TO THE AREA...(the Chinese food options in this area are pretty terrible). Wouldve have gotten 5 stars, but it has a B health rating, and it kind of shows. The portions are great, the taste is definitely better than pretty much every other Chinese food place here. Weirdly enough, their slushies are awesome.

Will definitely come back soon for a quick bite there or grab a box to go .Customer service was very helpful, friendly & professional.

But man I got mushroom and veggies, spicy orange chicken half and half.... And teriyaki.. I had the combo c... 2 chicken egg rolls... My plate is still in the fridge... 😭 This is the first Chinese restaurant where I absolutely did not like the food. Im a chef... Im praying I just came on a bad day... I definitely will try it again.... Maybe in the morning when the food is fresh... It tasted old like it was sitting their for hours... The rice was dry... The egg rolls had a weird taste ... Ill let u guys know... When I try it again

2023-09-15 04:58:50I went by this place about 3 weeks ago and they were open buy didnt have any teriyaki chicken or even bbq pork. I left and they havent been open since. If they are closed they should just let people know, really. I check the door for any signs and all I saw was there filthy windows. Every time I look online its says theyre open.. Come Good China let the people know the real deal. Its the least you guys can do. Sheesh!!
