Great place to get some authentic Chinese food. If you are a night owl, then this is a perfect place for you because it is open until 1 in the morning. Perks about this place is the food is cheap as the prices per dish are around $8-$10, the portions you get for the price are worth it, and the workers are friendly. However, if you are looking for a sit down place, you might want to call ahead to see if there is any available seating. The maximum capacity is 25 people, but realistically it will only hold about 6 parties (some of which might be a party of 1 or 2). Recommendations for food (so far) are the pork rice burger and the beef stewed noodle soup. For those who are adventurous or like smelly foods, then you should try the stinky tofu (but be warned, you may not want to inhale too deeply because it definitely has a kick to it).
A great place if you want something that tastes like a home cooked meal. Very reminiscent of food made by my grandparents. Most people recommend eating here after a night of drinking.This place is easy to overlook, not having much of a presence, but it is well worth giving a try.It is a small place, so sometimes itll be packed when you arrive. Other than that, sometimes they run out of ingredients for some dishes.Hours are pretty strange, but its open past 12, which can be a blessing when you have late night cravings.

There is nothing like some hot comfort food after a night of drinking and partying. And Good Shine is the perfect place as they open until 3am! This is like the chinese version of hodori in k-town.Portions here are small if you come here for a regular dinner. However, I find them perfect for those coming in for a late night meal to recuperate from the nights mayhem. They have a variety of taiwanese food, from noodles to wontons to stir-fry, and even stinky tofu. Quite a number of tables ordered the stinky tofu when I was there, so I assume it must be good.The prices are on the pricier side of things if you compare them to other restaurants, given the portions and sizes are smaller than usual. However, when this is the only place around that serves this type of food in the middle of the night, you would find it to worth every penny!The place is small, and I can imagine it getting really packed. The wall has pictures of their more popular dishes, but the actual menu has a lot more items to offer.Parking: Small parking lot shared with a laundromat and tofu place.
Mmmm, their pork burger rice and house special dried noodle are amazing. Best of all, they open friggin late, like 2am and 3am on fri/sat. I usually come here for a nice midnight snack. However, they dont open until 6pm. Not sure how a business survives like this, but theyre surviving. they also serve some type of fermented tofu (stinky tofu) dish so sometimes the place can really stink, but Im used to this at a traditional asian mom/pop shop.

Ive been looking for pork Bi-hun made just like this taste... please dont change a thing and of course my husband gets the 34 chicken chow mein it was a perfect for ..We had to go back next day I got the shrimp Bi hun... AMAZING. Of course he got his beloved chow mein ... Love came back for shrimp.. yum yum yum

The boss has a great attitude and the food is good, Taiwanese home-cooked food with a smoky flavor. If I need to use the restroom, I will be given a coin to use the paid restroom at the laundry next door.

Very authentic Taiwanese cuisine, braised pork rice and salted crispy chicken are all good. The opening hours are very aggressive, so just go with it.
Its so delicious. Braised pork rice, shredded chicken rice, salt crispy chicken yyds. All kinds of fried rice are also delicious. Auntie is very friendly. Its hard to get such delicious food at this price.

2023-12-09 16:14:17Total hidden gem that I discovered (omg) 20 years ago. I have to say its the closest you can get to authentic taiwanese food in Los Angeles. You will be sitting among loyal customers that visit at least a few times a week. The lady here is like an old friend and there is just her and the chef. There is usually never a wait and they open late. Check the hours before you go. One of our favorites in LA. Dishes we recommend include Taiwanese fried chicken, stinky tofu, and shrimp fried rice. All the stir fries are good. CASH Only.

The owner of the shop is really welcomed and warm-hearted to make sure we would order the correct food as well as would truly enjoy them. Not expensive but delicious of family kind Taiwanese restaurant. Ones might date back to the time of their own family made Chinese cuisine. Minced Meat rice and the fried pop chicken are their famous dishes. Must have a try. Remember that the store is cash only, might be busy on Friday/Saturday night as not too many tables there.Restricted open time plz do check the status before paying a visit.

Its a really hole-in-the-wall spot, hidden away in a small strip mall with only a handful of tables. The interior feels super dated, but youre definitely not coming here for the decor. Service was super friendly and attentive, felt like your mom or aunt was serving you food. Theres a great variety of Taiwanese dishes here, we got the popcorn chicken and Taiwanese beef noodle soup, both were super tasty and filling. Portions are on the smaller side for the price, but the quality was definitely there. Cash only, so make sure you have it on hand! All in all, a great place for a delicious, quick, no-fuss dinner.

2023-10-20 21:46:10This place is a mom and pop shop, and the lady who serves the tables is very nice. When I was there she asked me what I want to order, and would recommend that she think I should get. She also will make sure that I didnt get too cold by closing the door as the afternoon/evening time got a little cold with the breeze with the door open. The food is like your typical taiwanese food - however the price per item was a bit steep for Taiwanese food. I am not sure if I should be surprised since there is inflation everywhere.The parking lot is shared with other businesses there and may be hard to find parking, but there is also street parking as well that is free.It is a good spot to grab some dine in taiwanese food and also comes with free hot tea or water.Would come back again since its locally in MPK and support small businesses, but probably not often considering its a bit pricy for its portion.

The location is small and many order to-go but if youre inclined to eat in, you can park in the lot shared with other businesses in the plaza (notably a laundromat).Cash only, so come prepared.

2022-03-12 18:33:38My first time at a Taiwanese restaurant. It was delicious. It was open late. I got the minced meat over rice and fries intestines. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. Called ahead and ordered based off photos here and food was ready promptly. To top it off, the lady was friendly and even engaged me in conversation which almost never happens in asian restaurants. Would give 6 stars if I could.
