This pizza is nothing short of phenomenal. Weve only been twice (so far!) and both times its just been 🤌.The pizza slice itself is thin with incredible flavors from the sauces & toppings. Then the crust is super thick and chewy, which is totally my style. Weve had both the Abloh and the Great White Buffalo. Dipping sauce is also so good.Only thing better than all of that is the incredibly friendly & helpful owner. There was a miscommunication on our order tonight and he readily agreed not to charge me for the difference, which was so kind and very appreciated. Excellent customer service all around. We will continue to drive across the Valley for this special treat!

Ok so must say the pie tasted GREAT! What I didn’t like was the 2 plus inches of crust. The crust has good taste but I would rather have an 1 inch crust and more if the yummy pizza. The dogs enjoyed some of the crust rest got trashed. If the pie is 16 inches and 4 inches is crust you now have a 12 pie. I would go back because it tasted good and there are very few pizza places that has a soft dough crust, most are hard crust dough which I like too. Please try a smaller crust I would change from 4 to 5 stars in a second. You have a great pizza just my opinion on the crust maybe because I stretched many pizza pies same type of dough.

We’ll get to the food second.The staff, super amazing. Everybody was really kind and really made the experience top notch.The pizza was divine, the rabbi brought a smile to my face as I ate it all the way to the crust. The crispy pepperoni and the cheese pizza made want to devour a whole pizza of each.This place has something special everyone should get in on.

I am so rarely in North Hollywood, so I Yelp pizza and see this place, along with links to eater la.So heart set on something exciting and unique, I walk in, tell the chef I want a simple slice for my son and I want something fun.He pulls out a Sicilian pie he calls the clamblorghini. I sort of zone out after he describes clam chowder and the potatoes, Ive already decided I am feasting on this slice.$4 for a slice of traditional pepperoni (Soppresata on their mozzarella and provolone mix, I stole a bite from my son and I need to come back just to enjoy that mix) and $7 for the Sicilian specialty slice, I felt like it was 2019 again.The clamblorghini was incredible. How they made it so gooey but not wet confounds me. its likely a limited time special, but just from this Sicilian slice, this place far exceeds prime pizza and triple beam.I just need to find another excuse to hit the valley so I can try the wings and anything else.

This place is it! Owner was super personable and easy going and the rest of the staff were very polite and attentive.Everything from the thin crust, to the chewy and perfectly charred crust, down to the tomato sauce — 100% nailed it!He also does “Pizza by the Slice” which was a really cool concept. Some of your not-so-typical-pizzas will be show cased here. The wilder and interesting they sound the better they taste. Who would have though mash potatoes on a pizza would be good— Pierogi Pizza👌🏼The merch and ambiance is pretty rad too(We already started eating the appetizer but there was definitely more)

I tried two different ones both amazing. Be mindful and respectful this a not a fast food pizza place. This is artisan super incredible pizza. Its not staffed with 10 people and giant commercial ovens. If you go at busy you might have to wait. The Pizza, crust, the flavor, the taste is awesome. Relax and enjoy!

I had high hopes and expectations regarding this pizza place after reading about it in an article by Eater. I cannot express how those were completely blown away. I got the Great White Buffalo and the Big Kahuna for a group. This pizza was gone in less than 20 minutes. The worst part of the entire experience was the 15 minute drive home having to smell it the entire way knowing every stop light was delaying me from eating. I highly recommend this place.

In a city with a pizza place almost on every block, its difficult to rise above the rest. Gorilla Pies is one of my favorite pizza spots in Los Angeles. Great customer service, great pies and great wings. You can taste the love that they pour into their craft. Even the sauces are amazing. Its unfortunate that Gorilla Pies pizza was the first pizza my 3 year old son tried because very few will live up to that expectation.

Amazing! I’ve had many pizzas and their pizza is by far my favorite. Their monkey bread is garlicky and so cheesy..highly recommend it! Their Basic Benny was delicious! Make sure to try both. I don’t write reviews but their pizza was so good I had to spread the word.

As I continue to try pizza places throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties, I decided to go try Gorilla Pies next. I first heard about them from an article in Eater LA recently. I tried two different slices. The first slice I tried was The Basic Benny with sopressata, parmesan, marinara, and basil. No one ingredient overpowered the other, and the crust especially had really great flavor. The second slice I tried was The Rabbi (Reuben Pie) with pastrami, onion, Swiss, smoked kraut-chi, red cabbage, reuben sauce, and a caraway seed crust. I was surprised that I chose this slice because although I like a Reuben sandwich, I was not sure it would succeed in pizza form. It was delicious. The crust was cooked a little more, and that made a difference. The caraway seed crust was a winner.It is a place worth driving to if you come from an area outside of the San Fernando Valley. Ben Osher, the owner, and his staff were very friendly and really wanted you to enjoy the food and experience. Take a chance and go there for a slice. You will want more than one.

It was everything I wanted and more. We got the basic Benny and the Rabbi. Both very different and incredibly good. The red sauce was a perfect combo of natural sweetness and tang. The dough was rich with just the right amount of chew. Luckily, Im a Yinzer, so we bonded and I had to go with a Permantis upgrade adding fries to our Rabbi.

Ive gotten takeaway from here twice now and both times Ive come to the same conclusion.This is my favorite pizza in LA.I love LA, I love the food scene here, but pizza in this city is aggressively mediocre. Gorilla is not.The first time, we got the basic benny, the big kahuna, and the sierra bonita. Of the three, the kahuna was the weakest, but only by a little. The crust is awesome, the cheese they use is super flavorful, the oven char is perfect, and the toppings are stand out.Second time I got their date night combo. Benny, ceasar salad, and lemon pepper wings. Benny was fantastic again, the salad was good enough Id get it again, and the wings were extremely good.Be sure to get their ranch, too. It has a real acidic note through it that works really well. I cant tell if its lemon or just great buttermilk, but its very good.

Easily the best pizza Ive had in LA. The dough is sturdy, with just the right amount of sour, and a beautiful undercarriage. The sauce is sweet and tangy like I remember from the east coast. Im not big on salami in general, but the sopressata was so good. Simply rich and delicious pizza.

Highly Recommend! Pizza has incredible flavor! I showed up 30 minutes early and the team was able to accommodate me with the most delicious pie! Did not realize how busy they got but the owner Ben stepped in and got my pizza ready quick! I ordered their spicy sausage pie and it was incredible. My family and I devoured it in a matter of minutes. The staff was awesome and the operation there is on point. Definitely a great pizza spot!

LOVE! Chef Ben Osher knows what hes doing. EVERYTHING is made using fresh, high-quality ingredients. We ordered The Basic Benny with Sopressata, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Marinara, Basil. Made with Bianco di Napoli tomatoes, the sauce is tangy with just enough heat to wake up your taste buds. And the toppings were perfectly balanced. We had ordered to go but Chef suggested we have just one slice hot out of the oven to enjoy his pizza perfection (my words - not his). We stayed and ate the whole pie. DELICIOUS! He brought us over some ranch to taste and it was so fresh and flavorful I couldve eaten it with a spoon but instead dipped the chewy crust and savored the flavors.He suggested next time we come (and there will be MANY next times!) we bring our own wine; hell provide the stemless glasses and we can enjoy a fine dining experience in his humble and fun dining room.We cant WAIT!

Its my first time here after wanting to come for months since they opened and wow, best pizza in the NoHo Burbank area. Ill admit its a bit on the expensive side for a 16 pizza (though it did seem a bit larger than the listed size, Id say its more like a 17), but the quality is incredible so if youre looking to splurge or having a nice date night ordering in some pizza, this is absolutely the place to go. Order directly on their site if youre ordering for pick up, it should take you to a chownow extension that has the correct prices. Its more expensive on most of the other delivery apps that also allow for pick up orders to be placed, most likely because they take a decent percentage and have to offset that cut. The food was great! Ill definitely be back.

I wanted to love this place so bad. Im always excited to try new places, new flavor combinations and ingredients. My wife was craving pizza and I was about to drive by this place so I stopped in. It was really busy and the staff had their work cut out for them. It took a few minutes before I was able to order, and the wait for my food was 20 minutes (Im not upset by this at all, good food takes time to make)I got the rabbi pizza, the big kahuna pie and the caesar. My wife cant handle spicy so I got it without pineapple and jalapenos. They mistakenly put jalapenos on the pizza, its ok we picked them off but it still made the pizza too spicy for her. The rabbi was pretty good, different, it satisfied my urge to try something new. The employee I spoke with said the Rabbi was the one he was most proud of, and he should, it was good.The Caesar salad was difficult to eat and my wife disliked it A LOT. Everything was in large pieces and it was just plain inconvenient to eat.All in all, my wife will never want me to pick this place up for dinner, and neither would my wallet. But I can guarantee you that if I am eating a meal on my own Ill give this place another shot.

Wow. Chef Osher brings his experience at Nobu to California style pizza and it’s an awesome combo.I’m always torn between their unique flavorful pizzas and their traditional style meatball sub. It’s a real dilemma because both are beyond delicious… to the point where you really have to order both when you’re here to get the full experience.This is easily the best pizza in the Valley, and rivals the great pizza I’ve had Chicago and New York. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is chill. Music is great. Eat in or take out, any item on the menu. You can’t go wrong.

Best new pizza place that Ive had in a long time. Very original and fresh take on a pizza place. Ive only had one pizza type but it was by far the best non meat pizza Ive had in my life. It was the Sierra Bonita. 10/10. The date night combination package is the way to go for two people my wife and I have ordered it every time. The wings are large and flavorful and a great compliment to the pizza. The aruguy salad and brussel sprouts side dishes are also fantastic. Overall I am just thrilled to have been introduced to this place and will frequent it as much as I can.

In a word; WOW. And in two words; THE BEST. I’m going to say that after 61 years of pizza consumption from the US to NYC to Italy, this pizza ranked with the best I’ve ever tasted. We had The Sierra Bonita, the Basic Benny and theSicilian square. From the perfectly cooked, crisp crust to the cheese to the really flavorful toppings there was nothing wrong. Chef Ben & his gorilla pies were absolutely delish! Wish he could be here permanently in Sherman Oaks. The Sierra Bonita & the kitten were both very good, but our chefs special, or the dude was the highlight - meatballs, mushrooms, brussels sprouts, and tons more, it was soooooo good. The pizzas are also not tiny at all, definitely bigger than we expected! Chef Ben was so nice and very attentive and really made sure we would get something we liked. Loved this place and will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

So excited this place just opened up near my neighborhood.. I used to have to go all the way to Hollywood to a super expensive bougie restaurant to get a good quality Neapolitan style pizza.. NOT ANYMORE!This is all I ever wanted in a pizza place, just AMAZING ingredients and made with love. The crust is beyond delicious, soooo tasty! Chef Ben and his Gorilla Pies are *the* silver lining of these last 11 months. I spent years preparing spices and spice blends for Seattle’s top chefs and restaurants. To say I have high standards for cooking is an understatement. But the Sierra Bonita hit every mark of an amazing pizza: crust with crunch but depth of flavor, sauce balancing that tangy edge of sweet and acid, toppings that take you on adventure from sweet-->salt-->heat-->savory and across different types textures. 5 stars is an understatement. I brought my dad and sisters for Fathers Day and we ordered the Monkey Bars, an arugula salad and The Rabbi pizza and it was all sooooo delicious. We were oohing and aahhing with every bite. I could tell the Chef really poured his heart and soul into these mouth watering creations! When we were done, our plates were clean and we had smiles on our faces. For someone (me) who lives on the westside and rarely leaves my bubble, I will definitely be back for more!

The quality of the ingredients is horrible now, they raised the price and have not been open for a year. They are also not consistent with their customer service or with food quality. The effort and passion are dying out in this establishment. I really had high hopes for this place.
