Ordered take out from here last night 7/29/22 and my entire family loved it! Even my husband who is Extreeeeeemely picky when it comes to food! He hasnt liked a Chinese food place in well over 10 years and he loved the sweet and sour chicken.
I would not recommend this place. Definitely go to Uncle Pings or Tong Fong Low. Even Panda Express.THE BBQ pork was dry and tough. Plus they put sweet and sour sauce over it. 🤮. Chow mein had no flavor and was greasy. Kung Pao chicken was pretty much veggies and not spicy at all. I could go on because we got more dishes that werent good.

Took some out of town guests for dinner last night. Honestly(unfortunately)I forget its there. I think I will remember now! Delicious! Especially the sweet and sour pork(one of my favs and is usually at other places fatty and not crisp). It was perfect, flavorful and no fat. Broccoli beef very good. Egg rolls yummy. Great service. I will be ordering again. Thank you for a great meal
Yooo this place is soooo underrated!!! I just had some bomb sweet and sour pork fried to perfection, the Mongolian beef is fire delicious, and the chow main made me feel like a kid again, worth the extra long wait for the food cooking, its da bomb
This is really upsetting because this place could be great. Its a bit more expensive than some of the other places around here, but the food portions are good and the ingredients seem top notch. The first time we had it, itwas a bit salty, but not terribly so. However, tonight we bought dinner and the entire meal is basically inedible. Its really disappointing. This is 2x now for us just being too salty and this last time was just terrible...I dont think we will be back.
I really like eating at the gourmet kitchen. I find myself wanting to go back. Ordering the dinners are a great way to go! The soups are great and everything Ive tried is very tasty.The owner really cares about customers. I found out first hand. They were out of the chicken salad. We had ordered it with the dinner. So they gave us a bigger appetizer then we had ordered and they made it free.Now thats cool. Thank you guys. But Im coming back for the salad! Its so good its calling me back!

The food is great. The only suggestion I have for the place is to change the music, its hip hop and trance, power work out music. I would suggest something classical from the far east.

The only authentic Chinese food in town. Ming, the owner is so welcoming and he is always offering new menu items. The waitress Britnee is the sweetest and is very efficient. We have been eating there since they opened at least 4 times a month sometimes more as the food is so fresh and tasty. Try the new cold noodle pork it is so refreshing in this hot summer weather.
This is a great place. I am from the bay area, so when I moved here I was having a hard time finding a great Chinese restaurant. This one has yet to disappoint me.The food is great and fresh. The staff are kind and accommodating.I highly recommend this place!!

Honestly my favorite chinese food restaurant in town. I used to like Charlies, but this place is delicious. Everything has really good flavor and the manager is so sweet and always goes above and beyond. He always brings extra free food to us without us asking. The waitress is extremely efficient and sweet.
I like that the food is consistent in taste and that the people are nice. I always try ordering something new when I come in with my family just to try it and have not been disapointed. I feel like they have good portions too. This is my go to place for an impromptu date with my fiance.
Only people at two tables, didnt get greeted, we had to get take out menus, no drinks, no order taken, two people came out and helped the other two tables that had there food and were getting ready to go. The workers looked at us and never came to take our orders,get us drinks or even say hello. We left.
I love this place. The house chow mein is delicious. Not tiny bay shrimp, not greasy and plenty of food!!
Love the flavors here - the veggie chow mein and veggie fried rice are particularly tasty, and the garlic eggplant is super flavorful. Wish there were more vegetarian options, but despite that, this is our go-to Chinese restaurant in town

I went on a Sunday, so they didnt have what I wanted to order. BUT, the owner was super nice and apologetic, and the dishes I ended up getting were delicious and huge! And it was ready in under 10 minutes. I will definitely come again.
Great food. Better than Tong Fong Lows. I hope youll try this place. You wont be disappointed. While Tong Fong Lows is ignoring state and county Covid guidelines this place is following the guidelines by offering Take Out only. Best Fried Rice in Oroville. Sweet & Sour Pork and Salt & Pepper Chicken are my favorites.
This place is absolutely ridiculous. They have literally 2 people working (I.e the person taking orders and then the cook). It took over an hour to get our food. Only go here if you want to wait forever for mediocre food. I will not come here again.
When we got arrived there was no one in the restaurant, I was a bit leery going in. The gentleman running the place was extremely nice. We got the family dinner and I was blown away be how good the food was. I will be coming back here again and again. This establishment definitely has my business.

I called to place an order. The guy who took my order acted like I didnt look at the menu before hand. So he treated me like I was a dumb cuatomer who didnt look at the prices and wouldnt know the total beforehand. I told him to have it ready in 30 minutes. My kid goes to pick it up 30 minutes later and still had to wait 20 minutes because it was not ready yet. The fried prawns were disgusting and almost made my son throw up. We are never eating here again. Not for price I paid.
First time at this place. Food is delicious. However, my concern is the little gal, perhaps the daughter, that is there. She was very rude once her mom went into kitchen. Not sure if I will return.

I personally think the best Chinese restaurant in Oroville! 😋💯I advise you to come down and give it a try I think everyone will enjoy! When we moved from Chico and find another Chinese restaurant.. try to couple up here in Oroville it was okay.. almost gave up on that looking for more restaurants.. then found gromet kitchen. SURPRISED THEY DONT HAVE FRIED CHICKEN!! Other than that everythings fantastic!! 😋😁
Used to love this place but last time I went the guy yelled at me and my husband that our food was cold... i didnt understand why he was upset that OUR food was cold. What did that have to dowith his business? Why was he upset? I just didnt understand how someone could tell in front of other customers and embarrass good customers for no reason, almost made me cry and want to pull my hair out from sheer confusion. Seriously tho, i didnt inderstand why he was mad at the foof that we had to eat?Unfortunately never doing back due to the lack of respect and sanity.
This is the 3rd time for us!! Not only is it delicious, it’s not greasey. Hands down some of the best Chinese food we have had!! The best part, every dish you order tastes different from the next! Well done!!
This is the kind of Chinese Restaurant that give Chinese restaurants in general a bad reputation, e.g., seething waiter who offers no consolation at our returning our soup which was too spicy to eat; and then there was the rice too hard to chew, sauces so generic and tasteless and overwhelming what few veggies were in our dishes. Oh, and all the lights were off as well as the heater for heating the establishment.

You can only get steamed rice no noodles egg rolls were under cooked and the black pepper pork had ten pounds of salt. Only giving one star because I cant go lower

2023-09-07 22:21:19I ended up getting from here two days in a row. The establishment is very lovely, and the food is delicious and exotic, though the Chicken Cashew dish was a bit too salty, but calling it authentic Chinese is a stretch. They have some good lunch specials, but at least if you do takeout, they put more chow mein in your box then meat. And the meat ratio you get when you eat in, isnt much higher. Speaking of meat, I think its stupid that you cant customize your order. If you want a certain kind of meat, the management decides whether youre having rice or chow mein with it. This is the biggest reason its not getting 5 stars.

2023-07-17 01:02:51They were friendly wonderful in the atmosphere was fantastic very quiet and serene, the food they brought us was delicious, the Chicken, Divine, dont even get me started on the rice cuz that was some of the best damn rice Ive had in a while. Overall it was a great experience but definitely recommend this as a stop for anybody whos hungry for some delicious Chinese food.

Every time I’ve been here even when I sat at a table food was always brought out in styrofoam or cardboard! Excellent food but really needs a manager with with customer service experience!

Ordered the Chowmein thinking it was like a common chowmein with lots of veggies, bean sprouts and meat of your choice. Not the case, we ended up with a plate full of noodles, I asked for pork meat, wife asked for chicken which was okay but i received cut up piece of Char siu that has been dried out and cost us $42 with tip. Will not return, thank you…

2023-08-25 15:13:40The guy owner was very grouchy and rude when he was taking my order I accidentally pronounced the food that I wanted wrong and misunderstood what he was trying to tell me and he lost his temper with me and yelled at me and told me in a very grouchy manner to where I understood. It made me feel very uncomfortable. Then he brought out my water in dirty cups and overcharged us. I was not happy with the service I was provided
