Had a blast sitting at the bar watching the football game, eating good food and having fun with my husband.Atmosphere: Fun place to watch h the game. Lots of people, yet felt safe.Food: Had the Tom Yum soup which was delicious! Hubby had the Dragon Fried Rice with a 7 heat. It was spicy! But delicious too. Maybe do a 5 next time or better yet, try the chicken yellow curry.Can’t wait til next time!

There were Thai tacos, Gra pow ground beef. You had a salmon bowl? A teriyaki chicken bowl, a pad Thai bowl, dragon fried rice, black pepper, steak and in everything bowl not to mention dumplings, garlicky spicy edamame. Everything was amazing. Cannot say enough about this place

This place is one of the best Thai food restaurants in riverside hands down, took my wife for dinner tonight along with my 11 month old son he slept in his seat most the time, i had the pad see ew with chicken and a miso soup on the side and spring rolls with shrimp as and appetizer it was all very fresh tasty and fullfilling took some home, the atmosphere on both sides of the restaurant are awesome the customer service is amazing which is always a plus. Lunch specials are great also.

I’m so glad I stopped in. This is a great restaurant! Not only beautiful and big, but the service is excellent. I took pictures of s bunch of items and every one of them looked and smelled amazing. I had the garlic pepper beef for lunch and it was amazing! If you are in the area you owe yourself to check it out. Not only do they have a large restaurant, they have a sushi bar and regular bay as well. And even outdoor seating.

I am glad I was recommended to come here. I was able to be seated right away. The service was great. Super friendly. The food was super tasty. Their version of drunken noodles was on point. I also enjoyed their version of a margarita. I will be back here. I highly recommend.

Lunch Pad See Ew combo was delicious. I’m still not sure if this is a Thai restaurant with a big attached bar or a Bar with an attached Thai restaurant but it doesn’t matter. Nice selection, good lunch specialsCame here hungry and ordered the spicy and sour noodle soup lunch special. The salad was delicious with crispy noodles to contrast the greens, and the noodle soup tasted excellent. I ended up finishing everything very quickly and my only reservation is that I was worried that I would still be hungry after finishing the soup. The soup filled me up and I am eager to try out the other lunch specials when I am in Riverside

OMG the cashew chicken is off the chain! I’m sure everything else on the menu was delicious but I ordered this and I bumped up the heat to a six and believe me when I tell you this dish has some of the most amazing flavors I’ve ever had in my life! Prices are more than affordable and the restaurant is a very nice setting and clean also the staff is polite and friendly. We appreciate the great customer service. More than enough parking outside and I definitely recommend you to bring the entire family along with some friends! Because you will be back! I ordered a side of peanut sauce to throw some more flavor on it and oh my God I might just go back today! Little bit of chili paste to set it off and yes you can’t go wrong! The lemon dressing is made in house and that probably is the best salad I’ve ever had in my life! I’m going to stop here because I can just go on and on forever just believe me when I say it hands-down the most flavorful dish I’ve ever had!

Delicious! Lettuce wraps were nice, but be warned, fairly spicy. We also had the cheese wontons and pad see ew. All of it was excellent. They loose one star on the review for listing happy hour on the website still but not actually offering anything for happy hour. The staff was great and took good care of us for how crazy busy it was!

Im a big fan of this place. Their pickups take WAY too long (even long before Covid) but the wait is worth it - barely. I particularly enjoy the Thai tacos, steamed sui-mai, and tuna tartar.Edit: the sui-mai wasnt as good last time. It seemed like they were from a bag. But the red curry was REALLY good. Still a fan.Edit: been a while since my last visit. This time I got the young coconut green curry with shrimp. It was phenomenal. Maybe even better than the red curry, and thats saying something.Edit: Finally tried the sushi. We werent impressed. It wasnt bad, but nothing was particularly good either. @grapow_ig in Riverside offers a variety of Thai dishes.After two visits Ive tried several menu items. Some were great others were meh.I really enjoyed the garlic noodles with shrimp and heat level 7. They restaurant offers spice levels from 1-10 with a 4 being their default/standard spice level. I liked the option to intensify the heat. Unfortunately, the beef garlic noodles were nowhere near as good as the shrimp. The beef was chewy and dead.For appetizers I had the cream cheese wontons, a rainbow roll and tuna tartare. The wontons were great, who doesnt like fried cream cheese? The tuna and sushi were underwhelming.I also had both the specialty soups and they were surprisingly delicious! Id definitely order both again. There was so much flavor packed into that broth.The last item I tried was the Seafood hot plate. It was tasty, no complaints there.If theres one thing I learned, your experience here really depends on your server. My first visit I had much better service than the second visit. My second server never mentioned the option to chose a heat level or brought the extra 3 top spices to my table that my first server did. When I mentioned it to them, they said You have to ask for it. Well, how would I know I have to ask when the first time my server brought it without me asking?Overall, even with the menu and service misses, Id prolly go back and try more from their extensive menu.

I used to love this place, but slowly over 5 years the prices keep increasing and the amount of food is less and less. It’s no longer worth it, I suggest going to LA to get your Thai fix.Sadly this is the last straw for Gra Pow.The food still tastes okay. Not amazing. It used to be a great value for the quantity and quality of food. I used to recommend this place to everyone, now I have not mentioned it once in at least a year to anyone. With my current order, I’d be embarrassed to recommend it and charge my suckers, I mean guests, these prices. $35 for a small soup and Pad Thai.A shame. This used to be a gem.

This was not a good experience. Ive visited many times before and it was always great. Unfortunately, we were seated in the very back of the room and totally ignored. No one came to service our table. After sitting for 20 minutes I stopped a waiter and asked if we had a waiter and he said hed go find out. Finally after an additional 10 minutes wait a waitress showed. What I did notice from the moment we entered, the hostess and the waitress avoided making eye contact with me when communicating. Not sure what was going on that day but I certainly hope the generous tip I gave the waitress made her day.

I would have given this a much higher rating because the variety and quality of the food was great. But for whatever reason, the service was lacking. Even though we told the server we were eating family style (sharing entrees), we had to repeatedly ask for serving spoons. When I asked, before the food was delivered, for chili sauce and soy sauce, they said they would bring it but never did. And they disappeared after the food was delivered. My wife had to get up and hunt for some.

Love the food but it’s a quite alarming that when you order pineapple fried rice with chicken that you have a cross contamination of shell fish physically present in your rice. There may need to be something in place to prevent this from happening. If there was an allergy going on, this would not be good. Please have the cooks be more mindful of cross contamination as this can be dangerous.

I have been going to Grapow for years but after today I will never go again! Some co-workers and myself went for lunch to celebrate my birthday. There was a family with children that were being so loud it was making in uncomfortable for everyone in the restaurant. One of my co-workers asked the server to ask the family to quiet down their children. The server told the family who then came up and confronted us. Then when they left the family confronted us a second time yelling very inappropriate language. The one man even physically threatened us. We asked to speak to the manager to discuss the way the situation was handled and she was very dismissive about the situation saying the server obviously needed more training. She never even offered any type of compensation for the very uncomfortable position their restaurant put us in. If that is their idea of customer service then they are no better then the family.

The food was great but I kind of noticed that the staff was playing favorites to certain kind of clintal that came in. I kind of felt like they were getting better service than we were but thats probably because they were the regulars. It was our first time there and the service was not very good. But the food is great. I mean we got our calamari but we didnt have any place sets. No forks, no napkins. Nothing that you know. Dip the stuff in with so we waited and finally got some waitress attention and get us something and the seating was. You know they they said we could have any seat and were like well. Wed like a booth but theyre like well. Theres nothing really and then you know just like I said certain clientele got better service and better seating and I had ordered some thin and got something else and then I got kind of a wack excuse and I was like whatever. So Ill just drink with this. And its funny cuz you know my date had heard me say what I wanted and the waitress was like no this is what you ordered but whatever and I was like all right whatever. I came to this place because I heard it was a hide gem for nightlife, fresh sushi, and great rotating beer. Due to Covid 19 I wasn’t able to enjoy all of that but I was able to enjoy the amazing customer service. The servers were quick to refill my beverage and attentive to my orders. The elevated food fusion is definitely noticeable.The picture I added depicts a cheese appetizer. It had me wanted another bite; it was crunchy, with a kick, and a gooey cheesy center.I would recommend this place to anyone interested in good elevated food.

The spiciest Thai food in the IE. I have been everywhere due to my job, and nowhere compares to here. I asked for a 10/10 extra spicy and for the 2nd time it is the spiciest food I can find in the area by a wide margin. Spice heads beware some may meet their match here, others will find themselves a new home to eat at.

We had an amazing experience at Grapow Restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The restaurant has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which made our dining experience even better. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles. They are both packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The portions were pretty generous, so we were definitely satisfied with our meal. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a fantastic time and cant wait to go back. If youre looking for authentic Thai cuisine and great service, Grapow Restaurant is definitely the place to go!

My husband, myself, and a good friend of ours dined at Gra Pow last night. When I called, it was already off to a good start. I spoke with Nic who answered the phone. He had a great friendly attitude. I had a few questions. I explained to him that I am unable to wait due to my disability, unless there is a place to sit down. He asked me what time we would be coming in, I let him know. He told me what the best time to arrive. It was our first time dining at Gra Pow. My husband and I were a little skeptical because it seemed more like a lounge than a restaurant, and usually a lounge only has a few items on the menu. When we received the menus, all of us were pleasantly surprise. They had to plenty to choose from on the menu. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. I had the wok fried rice with beef. I did ask for certain items to be removed because I do have some dietary restrictions, which they accommodated. I did have to wait a while for our food, and the person that brought our food apologized to us for having to wait. The food was delicious, so when someone puts that much effort into making sure our food comes out right, we don’t mind the wait.. My husband ordered the Pad Thai with Shrimp. I tried my husband’s Pad Thai. I told my husband that I think that’s the best Pad Thai we’ve had anywhere. The friend that was with us, ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken. She said that was delicious. The one thing that we noticed is that Gra Pow seems to serve larger portions than some other restaurants. Additionally, they didn’t skimp on the ingredients, like the beef, shrimp, etc. The service was good as well. Our waitress was very nice, but I don’t know her name. I know we will be back in this area and definitely we will be dining at Gra Pow Thai again

We have been going to Gra Pow for years and have always loved the food and service. Lately over the past year they have changed the quality of their food to more frozen options, instead of the original fresh dinning experience we have had in the past. The orange chicken now tastes over fried and similar to what you would expect in the Costco freezer aisle or a low grade Chinese food restaurant. The Gra Pow noodle dish has also changed and are no longer full noodles but chopped noodles(im guessing to save money) and majority bell pepper and onions. This is such a disappointment when the prices have gone up and now the food quality have gotten worse. Unfortunately I will not be spending anymore of my money here, the price is to high for the now low quality food.

As far as sushi goes the price to quality is fair. Rolls are good, however for my sashimi (tuna) the fish wasnt so fresh. The quality however was not the largest issue as was the wait time for the sushi. On the positive note the restaurants environment is pleasant and clean.

My husband and I just love this place. I was quite shocked of how much they have raised their prices. So it does make it next to impossible to eat there anymore. But I did pop by to get a vegetarian lunch and also a drunken chicken noodle lunch. $35 the portions were ridiculously small. I understand this has been a problem for all of us with the grocery store to buying clothes, gas, eating out, etc! It seems things are Starting to regulate back to normal now. And itd be nice if some of these restaurants started lowering their prices. Or I think a lot of businesses will be going under as people just cannot afford to eat out as much as they want to.

I came in during a basketball game. It was busy and rowdy, but okay. I asked the host if I could sit at the bar since I saw 2 empty seats. It literally took 5 minutes for anyone to greet me, and when she did, the girl seemed upset or something. She asked me something along the lines of Are you here for pick-up? I answered, No, Im here to order food and drinks. She looked at me, confused, almost signaling I wasnt seated in the right section. It was a very awkward exchange. I felt like leaving. Service was dull. I dont think she smiled even once. Definitely, Jessica needs better customer service skills. Would come again, but I would ask for a different server.

Took them 1 hour as usual to deliver our food and that was only when I got up to remind them we were still waiting. The service is horrible, waiters dont care to check on the customers. They are too busy talking to each other.I give it a two star, this is for the chef because the food is very good and flavorful. Dont go there unless u have half a day to waste. Standing there for 15 mins pass the opening hours kept trying to open the door… clearly they can see through the window that I’m trying to open the door.. standing in the cold they don’t even bother to open the door to let the customer know that the door is open. The food here is always on point! From flavor/seasoning, temperature, plating and prices. Always worth the $$. Even when delivered, which is rare, they don’t short your plate or mess orders up (which I feel like many places do because you aren’t there to complain).The owner/manager comes out to say hi to everyone and recognizes you after you’ve been there a few times which is nice. Plus he’s hilarious. Most importantly, you can tell the recipes were thoughtfully designed for a variety of palates so there is something delicious for everyone. There’s not too many places I could eat at everyday, Gra Pow is one of them. So bomb!! And if you are ANYWHERE near the Riverside area, it’s WORTH the drive. A must if you are in the I.E🥡🥣👍👍👍🥡🥣

We normally frequent Grapow, but since the pandemic its been a while. Its our to go to before catching movies and the food is usually superb.This time around things felt different. Our server was amazing as always, really attentive considering how busy it was. I ordered the spring rolls and thai tacos. Spring rolls were good, but the tacos had an overly sweet sauce (spicy mayo?) It was so sweet it overpowered the food. Maybe they used too much, I dont know. My husband ordered the eggplant dish because of the spice. 0 spice on his plate and the eggplant tasted mushy. We were disappointed and wondered if they had new cooks training or something.It made sad because I love this place.

So if you are impatient and starving looking for fast food I recommend you go through the drive thru some where. If you are looking for a fun atmosphere and have some spare time to take in the entire experience you will love it. Its not as packed during the week but all I can say is its worth the wait. I had never been until tonight and i cant shut up about how good it was and how awesome the place is. Try it out and see for yourself but I have no complaints. However, the other half waited about 40 minutes until they finally received some of their food. Worst service ever. I walked in around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. First off It took them 20 minutes just to take my order. I watched my server attend to 3 other people before i was acknowledged. Ive tried a number of dishes and appetizers, none of which disappoint. Their blend of American/Mexican/Thai dishes sound unnappealing but are actually really good. If you want drinks make sure Margie is there and she will hook you up with very good drinks.Lunch portions are relatively small while dinner portions are much larger. Prices are fair in my opinion. I would give this a 5-star had it not been for the poor customer service I received from Nick, the bartender. Nick, for some reason would not serve me. I dont know Nick so I was perplexed by his behavior. I asked him on 3 different occasions for a beverage and each time he told me to give my order to the other bartender named Myra. I asked him, is there a reason why he wasnt serving me and he stated he was too busy. My 2 friends, who I met there, were extremely angry, because Nick served the both of them prior to me joining them. My friends, who happen to be white, were so furious that they were ready to leave immediately because they felt it was pure discrimination. Mind you, I came to meet them straight from my home and have no history with Nick.Thank goodness for Myra! She saw the behavior, apologized profusely for Nicks poor customer service, and made sure that we felt welcomed. Because of her, I can truly say that it is not an Establishment problem but a rogue employee who should either be retrained or removed. My hope is the owners address this situation because you definitely dont want 1 employee to destroy the reputation of good restaurant.

A super chill place with a great happy hour bar which you dont find at many thai places. Hour hour prices are just $6 for several food selections and well drinks are just $5 and bottle beers are only $3.I recommend the tuna tar tar and the Dragon wings. Well we paid that ticket too and tipped again even though she was rude. And as were trying to finish our wines the dark haired girl pushed over another ticket to pay again for the two wines. My daughter said I just signed and paid for these and tipped. She said where is your copy? My daughter said I left it with the other copy but you should have your copy you ran it and I signed it. The bartender then accused us of not paying that ticket and pushed it to us the sign again. My daughter said Ill pay it again but check your tickets you ran. My daughter being a restaurant manager was amazed and was very upset how this could happen.The bartender didnt even let us finish our wine that we paid for and tipped for and had security take us out lol. This is so unbelievable Ive owned a bar Before and this was just unbelievable. And my Daughter being a manager of a restaurant and to be treated so disrespectfully by this young Punk badtender was so crazy. I told my daughter I didnt like this place from the beginning she said its cool no problem. Then it ended up like this such a shame it could have been a great place but bad service and attitude and rude bartender so sad. Honest people to be degraded like this is just unbelievable.

I enjoyed the salad that came with lunch, beef pad see ew, and the wontons that came with lunch. I didnt really enjoy the beef pho. The pho tasted like it was missing something and the fresh spring rolls were ok. The rolls were nothing special. The next time I go I would like to try the pad thai or fried rice....

The best Thai food in Riverside. I used to enjoy their Jungle curry but they dont have it anymore. Still their Pad-thai, pad-see-ew and Red curry are delicious. They reduced the rice portions but thats ok. I would visit this place again.

WOW. Went from a Hero to Zero in no time!!Came to the bar side and was pleasantly surprised, Nice guy and a blonde girl as bar staff on at the time we arrived was nice around 9:30 pm. Had a couple drinks within the next couple of hours, no one asked us to open a tab at the time... then later a brunette bartender staff came on and questioned whether or not we had a tab going to which we said no, but also made sure we told her what drinks to include on the tab to make sure we had been charged correctly up to that point... and then tipped around 8 bucks on a $21 tab... at this time we werd offered a second round of drinks, a couple happy hour wines... I was re-ran on my card for a measly $8, and by this point we were planning to leave soon, so I tipped a couple bucks and pushed the credit card slip on the tray up to the barfront. Later that same brunette (rude) bartender on duty assumingly accused us of not paying our tab up until that point, to which I knew that was no way the case, and was thoroughly offended, considering I paid and tipped on the credit card receipt! She then asked for MY copy of the receipt, which I never completed and was still on the tip tray witj the remaining receipt. At some point she had grabbed and crumbled up one of the receipt, so I have no idea what happened to the copy I tipped and singed on, but being in restaurant industry for over 20 years.. I know it isnt impossible to see that my card had been ran for the last round of drinks, whether she had the copy or not was beyond me, but at this time she was basically telling us to finish our drink and leave as if we hadnt paid or tipped! This was especially offensive to me, considering I did both, but to which she deserved none of which is hard for me to even say as Im always the one making excuses for why you should always tip....and not just tip but overtip and always consider the circumstances...The gentlemen before her and the miss with the blonde hair (neither of which I caught names of, but wish I had) both are who I did and intended to tip prior were great! They were borh hostptitible and kind and had a welcoming manner. Kudos to them both. However, the miss ( brunette) at the end was not. She was rude and offputting at the very least... and later, especially of accusing me of not paying was especially offensive. At this time I offered her to run my card again, multiple times at this point, I asked her to make sure it had been ran even though I was sure it had by this time she just wanted to act like I was a non-paying customer to all around and make a scene and embarrass me. The last thing someone is going to to do is treat me like Im an unpaying, unwilling patron, which goes against everything I beleive in, as Ive been in the restaurant I duatey as a server, bartender, and Manager for many years... I was looking forward to this place being a place to come to close to home and now Im not sure if Ill EVER be back! Just Awful! She was incredibly awful and the security folks around just gave her fuel to her unjust fire. Very disappointing.

Not only did they miss the spice in both dishes but the beef in the panang curry was tough and the flavor was not one I wanted to eat, gross!What the heck is going on at Grapow? On Mothers Day I thought I would treat myself. Just moving to the area I thought it was great to have a Thai place so close to home. My husband dropped me off so I could order some food to go while he got food that he liked. I was greeted by a very nice young man. He took my order and said it would only be a short while. Then he went on break. About 20 mins later I was getting restless but I could not catch the eyes of anyone. It was like they avoided me completely. I finally had to grab a waitress by the arm and ask her to check to see if my order was ready. She asked who took my order and she said she would go find him instead of getting my order. I could see it ready through the double doors. The young man finally came back from break, I guess he is the only one allowed to touch my order. He handed it to me very annoyed. I finally got my food but had to wait for another 10 mins to get my drink. My husband was waiting outside pissed that I took so long. I got the Pai Tai and the Sea Food Soup. The Pai Tai was dry and had no flavor but the soup was ok. But the meal was way over priced for what I got. I probably wont go back.

I will never accept another delivery from this place if they refuse to bring in a tablet and download the Postmates Merchant App. Right now i have to order when i get there and then wait 35 ot minutes for it to be made. I love Gra Pow because it is super delicious. My family and I have been coming here for years, but the only downfall is that they are NOT Vegan friendly. They make their Brown rice with butter and their other veggie options are also probably smothered in butter. Along with their curry 😭 .
