Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove

A very enjoyable experience. They opened up 3 bedrooms for us to explore. They were very nice! Food was good. A bit pricey, but I think its worth it to go to a mansion to eat brunch. You dont pay for parking, and the drive to the mansion is very scenic.It is a buffet, and the menu doesnt change except for Thanksgiving and Xmas. I will definitely go again. The experience is enhanced if you go with friends and dress up really nice.My cousin was pounding down the mimosas. I love pasta, and this pasta was one of the best I ever had. The pear salad dressing was very good! I didnt care for the dessert though, and I wish they could do better. Their cakes were dry, especially the white one.

Came for Thanksgiving brunch and as always great service. Matt and Debbie were our attendants and always made sure we were taken care of. The food was cooked amazing and everything was so fresh. I do always think they are missing an opportunity by not having the espresso machine up and running in the basement or even the bowling alley while people are on the premises.

Grand Island was a lovely place for Fathers Day Brunch. Roast Beef was superb. Excellent desserts. A couple of minor details seem to have been overlooked. The dinner rolls were cold. Although they were very tasty, they could have been so much better, if they had but been warm. For a place working toward elegance, serving butter in foil wrapped bits seem a little off. Ambiance was wonderful. Service was faultless. Mimosas were terrific. The champagne was excellent. All at a quite affordable price. Whats not to like? Well worth the trip to the country.

Such a wonderful Sunday buffet! The grounds are captivating, and draw you in as soon as you get there. Enter into the beautiful lobby, where you’re escorted to the perfectly set table. The food was outstanding. The servers were very attentive and brought fresh silverware each time we visited the buffet.Great place to visit and take a tour of the building afterward.

If I could give a thousand stars I would! My daughter was married on 05/06/23 and it was the most beautiful, elegant, and superior service hands down! The staff was absolutely incredible and so professional. We did not have to want for anything because everything was handled. This is an amazing venue with awesome staff and service. WOW!!! Forever grateful.❤️

This is an absolutely gorgeous place. All of the staff were on point, and I had amazing interactions with everyone I spoke to. But, truthfully, the food is why I will be coming back. It experience was a 10/10.

Enjoyed our first visit for Thanksgiving Brunch, a beautiful historic palace.

Our 1st time here and it was for the Easter Brunch. The exterior grounds are very warm and inviting as we walked from the parking area. The hostess greeted us at the front door to the mansion. She offered my wife and I a drink of white Zinfandel and juice. Excellent. She seated us at our table in a very beautiful dining area . Our table was a quiet romantic spot off to the side and close to a fountain.We were greeted by a team of 2 fantastic servers. They were very helpful in explaining the setup for food, and general information about the mansion itself. We were then offered Mimosas and shown the way to the buffet.The buffet contained a good variety of food choices. All that we tried were excellent. The fresh greens for salad, a pear dressing, 2 choices of bread. Next were the cubed beets, asparagus with carrots, mushroom crepes, ham, salmon and prime rib with au jus and horseradish.We both went for a second but less food trip since the dessert table glares at you when you first enter the food area. We of course had some dessert and coffee to top things off

Loved this venue! This spot has so many good opportunities for portraits and also is an incredible backdrop for just organic and candid photography as well. It has a lot of variety and gives you ample options to help with some flexibility throughout the day. Cant wait to shoot here again!
