2024-01-23 18:25:31We had a work anniversary event. On the recommendation of a colleague and friend, we reached out to Grant Place for our catering needs. First and foremost, they were such a pleasure to work with when it came to putting the menu together. They were kind enough to suggest what dishes would keep well throughout the evening and which dishes could be kept at room temperature and which ones needed to stay hot. That was extremely helpful to me because I wanted everything to be perfect for our guests. They went above and beyond when it came to their service. The food was delivered on time and they were so kind and helpful, going beyond the scope of our contract to make sure that everything was indeed perfect for our event. Our guests absolutely loved every dish! We ordered mostly dim sum, some noodles and some special dishes cooked without gluten ingredients for our gluten-free guests. The Siu Mai was the best I’d had in forever. For your next event, don’t hesitate to cater from Grant Place — your guests will love and thank you for it!

2024-06-03 20:40:58Stopped by for a hearty breakfast to start my day. Decent congee (got the one with beef) and fried Chinese donut. Bit on the pricey side (came out to $20), especially considering the location is in Chinatown, but I enjoyed the food.

2024-03-31 12:28:40I am still thinking about my stuffed eggplant. Oh! And the Chinese greens with Garic. Oh! And the lotus paste bao. Oh! And the…You get the idea.Maybe I ate at this place with “rose colored glasses” on - we managed to easily get a parking spot right in front of this spot and it put us in a great mood to begin with. But I am pretty sure it was just the delicious food.Simple Chinatown restaurant with staple dim sum.

2024-04-15 06:08:16I should have known by the dead fish in the tanks. When I went back 3 days later there were still dead fish in the tanks. I just went back to take photos. I got half a duck. Easily the worst duck Ive ever had. Way overcooked and old. Mostly bones and skin indicating it had been up there a while. The meat was dehydrated. Gross.

2024-05-07 04:10:04[Delivery Review] ordered dry beef hor fun (干炒牛河) for breakfast. The flavor was really great! There weren’t a lot of beef and the texture of the beef was a bit odd for me. But overall it was tasty and the portion was solid (densely packed in the box).

2024-04-04 22:10:21The food is amazing. The menu as always with pictures so you can see what you ordering. Portions are huge. Best place for big eaters. + prices better than in general restaurants in SF.

2024-03-09 04:30:58Right before Grant Street, this dim sum was the only one we could find open early in Chinatown. Very welcoming staff. The food came out quickly, was tasty, had the most meat and shrimp weve found in dim sum, and we appreciated that we were the only English speaking people in the place. The crispy noodles were especially flavorful. You can get them with any meat, not just the shrimp as stated on the menu.
