Was staying in Tehachapi for a weekend trip and came across this place. The prices are extremely reasonable and fairly priced. We got a little bit of everything in our take-out container. The food was very tasty.. not to mention the buffet prices are unbeatable. Workers were extremely kind as well. If you’re looking for some good Chinese food, this is the place to be!

Great stop for birthdays (be sure to call ahead) or just lunch with the kids! Buffet is well worth it!Plus we always love places that still have fortune cookies! 😆 All the classic American Chinese food favorites! Soch a great find! Or new favorite special lunch spot.

Placed a large order for takeout and everything was delicious! The eggplant-tofu was something we decided to try for the first time and it was a hit. I really appreciate how kind the owner is too, they helped me carry my order out to the car since I had my one year old in my arms too.

Got there at 7 pm, they close at 8:30 pm, all the food was old. They mixed the different chicken dishes together to look like more maybe. The chicken and the beef ribs were so chewy, like jerky. My partner is sick right now and buying some sad tummy meds. I watched his color change at the table and knew he was getting sick. So we paid and left. No point making a scene, the waiter was very nice, this is NOT his fault! Basically, we looked forward to what would be the most disgusting meal of our lives all day for only $35.00 plus tip.

Ive eaten there maybe three or four times. Some of the food is good but the same dish can be terrible next time. For example, one of the chicken dishes was great on one visit, the chicken was lean and tender. The next visit I piled my plate up but the meat was terrible, all gristle and bone. So, start with just a mouth full of each and return to the buffet if it suits you. The range offered has been narrow when I have been there, maybe it is wider during peak periods.

The Great Wall is very delicious. Whenever I am in town, I always try to find time to go. Prices are very affordable (considering how much food costs have gone up). The wonton soup and sizzling rice soups are a MUST on a cold day and is just as good on a hot day too! They do not use MSG or peanut oil in any of their food which is such a huge plus!

One of the best things in their buffet selection was the BBQ chicken. The least desirable was their chow mein. It was really soggy and was sitting there a few hours already. The veggie egg rolls were tasty, the hot and sour soup was adequate, orange chicken was good, pepper shrimp was pretty good but could be a little more crispy. Servers were able to anticipate when our glasses were empty. Overall a decent visit and for a party of 4 adults and 2 children, bill came out to around $80, half of our party ordered sodas too. Not too expensive I might say for a buffet.

Coming back to Tehachapi after 5 years I stop to eat and it was very delicious the food was fresh and prepare very well but mist of all was the server he was very good. Try the Mongolian beef is delicious

Food here is great. Every item I tried tasted great. I have never tasted that many items that were good. Usually 2 or 3 stand out, but all here did. Kinda expensive at $10, but Ill go back regular now.

I always eat from the buffet so I try to get to the restaurant around dinner time (5pm-6pm) so the food is nice and fresh. And even when the dishes run low, the staff is very expedient at filling them back up.Not the best Chinese food Ive had, but theyve really been stepping up their food game lately. Sadly, some great eats have disappeared (looking at you, short ribs), but other dishes have significantly ramped up in quality. The dumplings used to be, quite frankly, not good at all. But something must have changed because I never sit down without a few on my plate. The orange chicken, too, is now made with higher quality meat than years past.The staff is always very friendly and only sometimes refill my drink with the wrong flavor soda. They do tend to bring me my check when Im only halfway through eating, and Im pretty sure its their way of subtly telling me to GTFO, but thats probably my fault for being a fat guy.

Love their food. They go out of their way to make things fresh without msg. I love their green beans. They are always nice and helpful. I eat here all the time and would recommend it. I lived in this town for 5 years before trying it and was more than happy when I did.

Great food, good variety to choose from and a little dish of ice cream to top off your meal! Quaint dining room with an adjacent overflow dining room. This is s buffet restaurant but I can’t eat enough to get my moneys worth so they offer a to-go plate which they charge by pound. This method is more cost-effective for me personally.

We will not go back. Poor selection of food items except for various chicken. No salad items and no deserts save a cheap cookie with a lone sliver of almond. Stale fortune cookie to top it off. Not cheap either.

Most of their food is ok, but rather salty. Sometimes, kept too long on steam table or leftover from night before and dry and overcooked. Our main complaint is that they do not put out the sushi and cold mussels until near noon. We have complained about this and asked that they put it out sooner, as most people like those cold items as appetizers, not dessert. Today was our last time, getting aggravated and treated with disrespect. Their business is steadily declining and this is one of the reasons.

Only reason they get a star is so i can post how bad the food is...ZERO flavor. The only thing any good was the sweet n sour sauce and it’s probably store bought. 30$ wasted on two dinner combos. Don’t waste your time or money. I hate to put any local business down but this is not good food, the people are very nice though.

Been going to the Great Wall for over three years now. They have the best egg flower soup and curry chicken Ive ever had. And the folk that work and own the place are mostly authentic Chinese from China. I really like this place a lot!

WARNING!! Do not use the online menu! The prices are completely misleading! I paid about $50 for food that should have costed about $25 according to the menu.A complete ripoff! I will never trust this place again!But the food is ok, just dont call in an order using the Google website as info, either go there and order it in person, or take a menu home with you.

Walked in and they seemed surprised to have a customer. The food looked unappetizing, but I was starving and needed a bathroom break. The food seemed like it had been there way too long, potatoes soggy, meat a funny color, broccoli wilted, orange chicken tasted off. Made me think I should have stuck to McDonalds or Taco Bell.
