My first visit to the Great Wall Restaurant and Ill definitely give it another visit! I arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday and the restaurant was pretty much empty...which was perfect, since had my choice of seats. Before I forget, they do a very good phone order service, so if you dont want to eat in...definitely give it a try. There have been some reviews about the staff being rude, Im not sure its about being rude, but I do think theres a bit of a language barrier. Food...I ordered the hot and sour soup and it was WONDERFUL! I also ordered the chicken and lettuce wraps, which was okay...slightly over-cooked and a bit salty for me. Theres lots of free parking, which Im sure varies depending on the time and day of the week. Lastly, they accept debit and credit cards, but not AMEX.

What an amazing level of rudeness! Im from NYC so I can handle a little abrasive behavior. The lady who took our order may as well have told us to leave with how mean she was. The other person taking care of our table was unbelievably rude to my uncle (a soft spoken older gentlemen ) She was refilling my glass of water and asked if anyone else wanted. My uncle requested more water, she told him to pass his cup across the table(round table not a booth) he asked her to come around and she said No I cant she left and put the pitcher at another table. Never seen a rude and stubborn waitress like her. The entire meal she would walk back and forth past our table with looks of disgust. When my uncle went to tell someone what happened, she came to us surprised thst we were upset. She argued with us and said she didnt care. Pretty obvious she didnt care. Made me feel unwanted the entire time. What kind of hospitality is that?

By myself and ordered a simple dinner: House special Mongolian Three Delight, prawns, chicken, & beef with white rice. While the sauce, prawns, and chicken were fine, the beef was not: tough and overcooked.Service was good and ambiance was great. I will try them again sometime.

The waitress is beyond rude. Twice I went and same lady, my bad for going a second time. The first time, my sweet and sour pork was fried so long it was turned into hardened to rocks,I could not even bite into it. I showed her and she said he cook it like that! and would not replace the order. The 2nd visit, I asked for some basil ( which was in large bunches at the table next to us and smelled so good) and she told me no, unless I ordered a different dish. I told her I like basil on the dish I ordered and she just snapped NO! And walked off.. There were two of us, so we wanted to split the check down the middle, half on each of our credit cards. She told us no in a very abrasive rude tone. Then she yelled at us about tipping at the end of the dinner. She literally ordered for us to tip before we even paid the check. It was bizarre. Super rude service.

The service was bad. Its like they didnt even want me there. They barely gave me any utensils, they gave me 2 plates when I ordered for 4 I had to ask over and over for napkins and I left with 4 only. They were cold and rude and its as if they didnt want to serve me. I usually wait until I try the food to make a decision on going back or not, cause sometimes if the food is good I can deal with a little attitude. Ummm ya nope! The food was bland, noodles and rice were hard like if it was old and the chicken I ordered was dry and soggy if that makes sense. I wouldnt eat here again. I can go into the supermarket and buy some frozen stir fry and get better customer service and food. I hate writing bad reviews but this is just the honest truth.

Becky and Shelly were amazing and the chef did a phenomenal job! We ordered the cream cheese wontons they had something else in it in case you just wanted cream cheese but still good. We also ordered the thick noodle chicken chow mein no veggie, shrimp fried rice no veggie and soooo good, along with orange chicken. Great wall didnt disappoint and they allowed our small fur babies to come in with us. Give them a try for yourself. Bathrooms were also clean. Thanks again Great Wall! 🙂

I got very sick after 3 bites of the hot and sour soup, it was thick and very dark in color tasted like rotten vegetables. Two hours later. Very very sick Food poisoning. Lasted all night throwing up. Well into the next two days sick.Never again.the other dish we would of eaten had about 1/3 cup greasy yuck on top. We returned it all and she gave us nothing back.

I used to love this place. They must be really short staffed, Im not quite sure what the problem is. I placed an order online, when I arrived to pick up the order the person was so rude, she was rude to the previous person picking up their order and rude to another person waiting for his order. I thought maybe they didnt like to provide takeout (although I did leave a 20% tip when I placed the order). Then a party of two walked in, the rude server asked how many in the party, they said two, the server was also rude to them. When my two orders of soup arrived, she asked me if this was my order, I said I think so (it was in a bag so I couldnt see it) then she held up the reciept and asked again if it was my order, I said yes she rolled her eyes at me, turned around, and stomped off. The soup was really good, but Im afraid to go back.

Love great wall, I usually dont like chow main as a side but their chow main was sooooo good! Also, if your stuck on what to order try the Crispy/Fried Chicken, it comes with basil and fresh jalapenos and it so my very favorite entree. Its to die for! Service is always good and the waitresses are always nice. I greatly would recommend coming here!

I was shopping nearby and wanted to try the restaurant. I entered the restaurant behind another party. We were seated immediately by an unfriendly waitress/hostess. She gave them a lunch & full menu and took their drink order. I was ignored and had to request a menu which she tossed a lunch menu on the table toward me. When requesting a full menu, she informed me only the lunch menu was available. She disappeared in the back and returned with NO drinks for either table and then disappeared again. At that point, I walked out.

I’ll start by saying that I’ve been dining at this restaurant for approximately 12 years. Yesterday my wife and I had a less than memorable experience.The waitress had a terrible attitude and seemed upset. At the end of our meal, the waitress took the liberty of charing 18% tip for herself without our knowledge.When my wife pointed out the issue, the waitress became argumentative and confrontational. She said she was entitled to her tip and made a spectacle of the situation.Needless to say we will never return. They’ve lost our business! We have shared this experience with others in hopes of saving them this problem.

Zero stars. The order was placed on 8/17/22 and we picked up the food with two egg rolls missing (in the picture, clearly purchased on the receipt). Upon calling the restaurant back - and politely asking for either the egg rolls on return or a refund, the owners got violently angry and called us names and hung up. Called again, same thing. Two of my associates actually printed out the receipt and brought it in to reconcile the order in person shortly thereafter, and the staff that helped them lied to their faces and said no egg rolls were purchased. Who does this over 2 egg rolls? For like a few dollars. Horrible behavior and the food was not worth the effort. Recommend you build a Great Wall around your restaurant so no one can make it inside to be treated like that

Absolutely awful food. Worst service I have ever experienced. Chow mien tasted like it was microwaved from a week ago. And the lady was extremely rude. She then added a $20 tip to our order and brought us the bill. When we asked why and if we could fix it the lady told us that we eat too much and that’s why they charge extra… we got the “personal meals” when my sister went to pay. Gave phone order, could not understand lady speaking, arrived to pick up, was not ready, everything looked the same, could not find the calamari in my plate, looked like all vegetables were from the same soupy pot the noodles were cold, dry and hard and tough they were inedible. They were not pan fried. Very salty, they would give no receipt, it cost about $20.00 more than it should have. How disappointing! They used to be good. The food was all drowned with the same sloppy sauce. The sauce slopped over the containers by the time we got it home.I will cook 20 cent top ramen noodles and steam my own vegetables after this horrid experience. 84 in Sonora at lunchtime. I felt it was a little warm inside the restaurant. As far as food, it was so so. The table behind us had 4 people, 3 got served and my wife at our table. After about 5 minutes that 4th person got served and me too. Served warm cans of Diet Pepsi for 3 bucks a shot felt like I should have taken the can and recycled it myself. The quality of food is generally subpar and staff treatment of patrons is abhorrent, but the following is on an entire other level.....Double check if you order online. I picked up the food, my husband ordered and paid online and then I paid them again. They are refusing our refund. Showed our banking bill on cell phone - there it is - the double charge on the same day and no more than a 1/2 hour inbetween orders - and then they tried to take the cell phone by not giving it back by attempting to kick my husband.

The food was gross. The house chow mein had so much sauce it was a VERY dark brown color, the noodles were soggy and the meat wasnt chewable, the pork fried rice only has onions in it and they were OLD like rotting old. The orange chicken was also literally soaking in sauce, the meat was burnt and hard to chew and the sauce was nasty and starchy...the pot stickers were soggy also and RAW INSIDE. My entire $45 family dinner went in the garbage. 100 do not reccomend this place. Gross.

If I could give zero stars I would. I sent in a phone order to pick it up at 5. My boyfriend got there and they said there was no order. I had to call in again to order and it was not good at all. The food was cold and splattered all over the bag when I got it home. I never looked inside to see if it was all over the place but I should have. None of the tops were on. Other than the mess and gross food it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! Just for some fried rice and chow mein and an entree it was almost 50 bucks.... I would not recommend and stay away.

Never have I ever felt like we were treated with absolutely no respect. When we got there today for lunch my wife and I split a bowl of Hot and Sour soup, which was too salty to even eat. They originally brought corn flour soup and didnt even give my wife a chance to eat it before taking it away from the table without asking. When we asked for a to go container they brought one but while I was scooping into the container they came over and took the bowl out of my hand and poured the rest in then left. I love to eat at Great Wall but I ordered a large order online yesterday. When I got it home it was not good. The pot stickers were dried out and the shrimp and honeyed walnuts were dry and overcooked. The broccoli beef had very little sauce so it was not worth getting. The chow mein was ok and the Phoenix Dragon and egg flower soup were the best. Overall I spent almost $100 for food my guests ended up throwing out.I will eat there after the pandemic is over and I can eat in. NO take out.

Great place for Chinese friendly staff, I go regularly and they know my order and recognize me when I walk in. They make the food hot and fresh, I ask for mine special and its never an issue for them is a great price for really tasty Chinese food, some of my favorite Chinese here. I asked for a discount because of that mistake, and they told me it was my fault. From my experience this resturaunt doesn’t even deserve one star. Not only did they not give us our food after we paid for it but they told us that if we drove back down they would replace it. Unfortunately when we areived all the women did was yell and scream saying that she personally put it in our bag, yet it was not received.
