We order take out from here at least once a week. Owned and run by Greek immigrants, the food is very authentic. They even import really Greek feta. Not only are they the sweetest but this is the best Greek food that weve had outside of Greece. One of the only restaurants that our whole family agrees on
Very disappointed on the Greek salad, I am use to eat the great mix of veggies that makes a Greek salad so nutritious and delicious. This one was just a bunch of lettuce with a few small pieces of cucumbers.Very nice people, great service, but I went to eat a real salad

Best value Greek Ive probably had. For the buy one get one half off sandwich deal they gave an insanely generous amount of meat and not only that, but it tasted amazing. The best gyros Ive tasted and they truly put time and effort into them. Will be back.
Very good experience on my first visit. Apparently this is a family-owned cafe, since they couldnt have been friendlier. Although I really wanted the moussaka, mom explained that the béchamel sauce did contain flour (I have to eat gluten free). So I tried the chicken souvlaki. Fork tender and tasty, it was accompanied by a Greek salad with just the right amount of dressing, tzatziki sauce and a side of rice I chose. They obviously use quality ingredients, and my chicken was cooked fresh for me. I arrived early, right after they opened, but by the time I left the place was packed.

Even if the food had been bad, the customer service wouldve been worth the trip. The food, however, was divine. This place is 3 hours from home and honestly Id drive the whole way just to eat here again. Just order everything, its all delicious. I wish Nick and Marika were my family.
Took me three years to head out here. Its a little hidden behind Braxton kitchen. Staff is friendly, the food is great, probably one of the best food in Camarillo with authentic flavors that I would go back to order again.

We had the dolmathes plate & Greek gyro with fries. The best weve tried, so far. Everything was made fresh and the spices in each dish really enhanced the flavor. Staff were friendly, greeted us as we came in and answered our questions about the menu. Will definitely be back... Opa!

Greek Cuisine is owned by a Greek family that lives here in Camarillo. They have on The Breakfast Cafe for years. Their food is always delicious very traditional and if you like Heroes and fresh Greek food they are absolutely in the place to go. It is family run and family-owned. Their ingredients are fresh. Their Gyro meat is definitely seasoned. Their homemade tzatziki sauce is creamy, tangy and rich with flavor. Their Alvgolemono Soup is full of chicken, lemon and comfort.
The place is small but the food is good.My salad and my gyro was delicious!!!The owner was very friendly and funny too.
The food here is excellent and large portions. Very friendly family owned business who make a point of appreciating every customer. The décor is plain so not a good place for a special occasion. Work with it...get take out and a blanket and go to a nearby park.

Recently purchased food as a take out order for my family as a first time. The food was an embarrassment to all Greek cuisine. The beef/lamb meat was dry along with the Pita bread. The fries were overly fried to the point where I thought I was crunching on carrot sticks, the pilaf rice/orzo was overcooked and mushy and the one thing I looked forward to eating and was greatly disappointed was the baklava. It was stale and old. I called to explain the situation but the lady didnt want to help with making fresh food or refund and only offered refund or credit for the baklava. Save your money OR eat here and learn for yourself.
I’m not a local so I wasn’t sure if the food was gonna be good but i was so wrong. The food was freaking delicious from the first bite! My mom is a big Greek lover and she got the moussaka plate which was so flavorful. The falafel sandwich was so fresh from the ingredients to the freshly made crispy falafel. We’ll definitely have to make the drive to come back here. Completely worth it!

My mom and I were there for a late lunch, the food was delicious and the family who owned it even better. A homeless man came in asking for a gyro and I tried to buy his lunch but the owner said not necessary. I got the feeling that he was a regular and out of the goodness of her heart she fed him regularly. My faith in humanity has been restored.

Some of the best gyros I’ve had, ever. The portions are very filling and the staff is super nice. The folks that run this place are great. The tzatziki is on par with what you get in Crete. You definitely get your money’s worth here. Very authentic and super delicious.
Favorite place in town! I always get the salmon souvlaki and my husband gets the gyro. Their salmon has so much flavor and they have the best fries in Camarillo. My husband loves their gyro. When we bring our dog, they always give us extra gyro meat for her. The staff here is so friendly.
My husband has been here a few times for lunch and raved about this place. I got to try it it today for the first time and immediately saw why! I have never been to Greece. I did grow up in New York which has wonderful Greek food. I have to say this is absolutely the Best Greek food Ive had since moving here over 40 years ago. Every bite of everything I had was outstanding! The family owners make everything from scratch and obviously take great pride in their food. They offer excellent service as well! I cant wait to go back!

We always have wonderful, helpful and kind service and the food is delicious!! Everything we could ask for in a local restaurant.My husband loves the gyro sandwich and I prefer the chicken sandwich but one time I couldnt chose between the two meats and they said they could make me a sandwich with both. It was amazing. I love their salad and I usually get the fries too which are always crispy.

Just want to drop a quick review of this place. I have lived down the street from this place and never knew it was here, until today. I would just like to say thank you to the young lady that was taking orders. I was having a horrible day today and I looked exactly how I felt. She was such a sweet soul. She had the best energy and was just all around nice. I thanked her over and over for being so nice. Just her customer service alone will have me coming back. The food was fresh and delicious, everything homemade and full of flavor. We will definitely be back.
This is a wonderful place to visit! My daughter and I each had a delicious gyro, and it’s now one of our favorite places in Camarillo. We also enjoyed a bowl of Orzo with Tomatoes and Feta. It’s a rice shaped pasta and was absolutely amazing.The mother and daughter that took our order, and the older gentleman behind the counter, are all, genuinely nice people. It was a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend, and intend to go back soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I almost don’t want to write a review because I don’t want other people knowing how delicious this place is. The staff, owner and food are all phenomenal. I’ve never had a better gyro in my life. The meat is so tender, juicy and flavorful. The pita is warm and delicious. Thy don’t try and overdo the toppings which makes it even better. They are dog friendly on the patio and the owner gave us a bunch of lamb to feed our pup while we were there. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We go out of our way and make this stop a must when we travel by Camarillo.

Best Greek food in Southern California! I have eaten at many Greek restaurants from San Diego to San Luis Obispo over the last 20 years, and this is by far the best. Everything we order is always fresh and delicious. They serve the best salmon Ive had at any type of restaurant anywhere. It is always moist and never has a dry crust. The service is fantastic. The people that work there genuinely want me to have a great dining experience, and they show that through their service. They also serve generous portions and have a nice covered patio to eat outside. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Its the second time weve been there, wed probably go there more often but we live 5 hours away and were bringing our son back to college. The people who work there are super friendly and the food is great, what more could you ask for? Definitely would recommend it if you are in the mood for Greek. Mine and my wifes favorite is the Greek gyro 🥙.
I’m a big Med-Levant-Pakistani food lover/eater… so this place, though not bragging to be fine Greek dining, is just another fast food grease spoon with fairly low-quality items. Nick The Greek in TO is of the same style of dining, but quality of food is much much higher with little to no grease.
My friend and I ordered gyros. He got beef and I got chicken. I loved my gyro! I would have liked mine a little spicier but this was my first time so I didnt say anything because I wanted to see how they made it, normally. The onions were a bit spicy and that was good.The gentleman who took our order was very friendly. And that made our evening a bit more pleasant than it might have been.The menu is reasonably large but not over-whelmingly so. I will surely visit again to try out other things on the menu. I do advise people to get there before 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and earlier on weekends. I think that the place closes at 8:00 p.m. most days and at 3:00 p.m. on at least one day (but I cant remember which one).In any case, this was a great visit, overall, and I hope to visit again, very soon!
The lamb gyro was a bit bland - not bad, but nothing special and I really wanted a great gyro. The chicken souvlaki was good except for the side of orzo which reminded me of Spaghetti-Os (they were overcooked and swimming in what seemed a fake tomato sauce). The take-out service was great and the man very friendly. Well be back to try some of the other Greek dishes.
This place is great - from the food to the staff. The staff is very friendly and I love the family vibe. Its great to see (presumably) the son at the front with the mom and dad in the back. The main courses have been fantastic and I tend to get a desert most of the time too which have never disappointed. Very good Greek food and would easily recommend to anyone.

The lady at the counter was SUPER nice! Very warm and inviting. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous! The to go box was about to burst at the seams it was so full! What you see in the picture is my leftovers after I ate a large amount already. I was very hungry! She came out very quickly with the food and cleaned the table before putting it down, even though the table was already clean. You can definitely tell that they care and love their guests. Will definitely be coming back!

Im extremely disappointed. I ordered a Greek salad to go and ask for them to put falafel on it instead of gyro meat. I was very pleased when they obliged, the service was great but sadly there were no olives on my salad I realized after I got all the way home. A $15 salad with a $3 tip and this salad is extremely basic. I told her The main reason I order a Greek salad is because it has olives on it. When I called to let them know that I wouldnt be back for them to fix the order because I didnt want to drive all the way back there, She did apologize and said she would make sure there are olives on the salad next time. What I wanted was a refund. Had they offered a refund there might be a next time but I will not be returning because of this.
Great gyros, salmon kabob, tatziki. The staff/ owners are super nice, and all of the food was tasty and fresh. If you go, you MUST try their baklava... You will never think of baklava the same! It was out of this world!
This is a family owned business on the Trolley Route that moved next door to the nicer unit. The same great food, good fast service, clean store and restrooms. Plus the Greek food is excellent. Nice, friendly staff, menu has a good variety. You wont be disappointed
This review is only because the price was steep and the gyros i ordered had way to much tzatziki and the pita was soft/soggy so the texture was not that appetizing. However the woman who took my order was extreamly nice and seemed to care about what she was doing in terms of cooking and customers.
Dont let the store front fool you, If you can find it. Seriously some of the best Greek food in the area. Baklava is to die for. Little pricey but so is all Greek food, and you get what you pay for. Small price to pay to support small business of this caliber. Definitely recommend and will return repeatedly.
This place has amazing service and even better food! It was just a remarkable experience, and my family and I are certainly coming back to try all the options. The staff was extremely helpful in the ordering process, and I would definitely recommend coming in to see what they suggest that day. You cant go wrong. The lamb was packed with flavor, and the only thing I was missing was something spicy, but that might just be bc Im Mexican.All in all, nothing better than Greek food. Living in Oxnard, I feel fortunate to have this nearby, in Camarillo, since others are so far away. Dont second guess yourself, its better than fast food any day and just as quick (just far more quality).

Tried the Chicken plate. Came with salad and choice of fries, Ozro, or rice, and pita bread also side of tzatziki and oil dressing. First time trying.... Fries excellent. Tzatziki refreshing. The only thing I, a humble servant of the Lord recommend is: hard plates. Save Styrofoam for takeout. Paper plates lesson the visual flavor expectation of the food.
Been here a couple times and each time the service is outstanding, the food authentic, and they are very welcoming of dogs.Only critique (and may be COVID related) is use of single use plastic and styrofoam for dining in.
Good food, good prices! So happy I found this place!!! The spot near me never answers the phone, was much quicker just driving a bit further and turns out the food is better too. Wish they had a wider selection of items, but hey quality over quantity any day.

OMG did Camarillo score a good place! Everything made in house and fresh! Had a trial of all 3 of the appetizer dips and they were so flavorful. Going to many Mediterranean places and made some of these at home myself, they have it going on!! Straw worthy just to drink.Had the moussaka plate with the salad. Layers upon layers of pleasure! It is a heavy dish of potato, beef, eggplant. Each layer has flavor. Some places just make it as a casserole with minimal excitement. Maybe taste pepper and salt.. Nope here there is so much more!!The owners are extremely friendly, funny, and honest. The facility was clean and plenty of seating inside and outside.I hope they expand their menu and hours of operation. They do have door dash!Will be coming back again!
We stopped here after seeing the sign while looking for lunch and we werent disappointed. A great little family owned restaurant with attentive service and excellent fresh food. My wife ordered the mousaka and I ordered the souvlaki (sp?)and the food was flavourful and the portions generous. Definitely worth the visit and good value.

While the prices are a little steep (like much of Camarillo), they make up for it with generous portions, great service, and delicious authentic Greek food. Indoor or outdoor seating. Various drink options including Greek beer. Would come here again, although a smaller plate with a lower price point would be great.

Yummy Greek food! Ive had traditional gyros here and they were top notch. The pitas are fresh, the veggies are too! And the meats! Today, I had a lamb souvlaki plate with orzo and salad with feta, tzatziki and lemon sauce. The lamb was juicy and tender, and you get a LOT of food.If youre in Camarillo, you MUST stop here. To go or eat outside. The owners keep the place uber clean and distancing is assured. They even set up a table for our family. Its a family owned place!

We were eating next door at Braxtons with our dog Roxy on the patio and the older gentleman came outside and said hi to our dog and gave her a little bowl of meat. Thank you very much she enjoyed it! PS she had already enjoyed a breakfast bowl from Braxtons...she wasn’t starving lol it was just a nice gesture.

2023-11-16 02:28:26Family- owned Greek restaurant. Mom cooks, dad waits tables and son takes orders. Gyros are a lamb and beef combination served on fresh bread with tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce. Other Greek favorites such as falafel and humus, spanakopita, moussaka, dolmathes, and lamb, beef, chicken or salmon kebabs are are available. Desserts listed on the menu are homemade galaktoboureko, baklava and greek yogurt with honey. Beverages options are soda, apple juice, bottled water, iced tea, and Greek wine and beer. A pitcher of fresh water with lemon slices is always available at no charge- just another aspect of Greek hospitality. A tv monitor rotates through stunning vistas from the Greek islands. Flower vases are on each table, and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. Greek Cuisine is next to Braxton Kitchen in the Trader Joe’s shopping center. Dining is casual, order at the counter and take a seat and prepare yourself for a great meal! Closed on Mondays. Tuesday through Sunday 11 am- 8pm and Sunday 11am- 7 pm.

2023-10-08 21:00:23Stopped here for lunch after shopping at the outlets. We got a Greek chicken salad and a gyro pita, both of which were delicious. The food tasted homemade and fresh. Service was prompt and friendly. You could tell it is a family business.

2020-11-28 23:58:15We really enjoyed this restaurant! The food is homemade and amazingly fresh. We started with the stuffed grape leaves. Very tasty. I was surprised at the size. The Gyros plate and sandwich were both terrific. I remarked that the flavors are very good, but subtle compared to many commercial places, where everything is over spiced or bland. The food here is obviously made with love. I would certainly return to try their other dishes.

Warm, moist, chewy and fresh!Hummus and yogurt sauce are really flavorful and freshly made. You just can taste the difference!!SALMON SALADSalmon is super tender and seasoned extremely well. Lets not forget about their gyros, theyre so good if you havent done yourself the favor yet get down there and try one! (Look at the size compared to my hand) 6/5

2021-06-19 00:42:57Visited yesterday 6/17/21for lunch. We had the BEST gyro sandwich EVER. Loved the customer service given by the owners. Food was professionally prepared and served. The baklava dessert was also delicious. Attention to detail was evident in the quality taste of food. Will come back again.

The homemade dip and Kita appetizer was wonderful you get four different dipping sauces one is a mild feta cheese dip it is out of this world it was hands down my favorite then you get a yogurt cucumber dip traditional hummus and it really unique eggplant dip it has a nice smokiness to it. Lets move on to the main course I got the gyro plate and my friend got the gyro sandwich plate if you love Gyros you need to come and get their Gyros they were absolutely amazing perfectly crispy seasoned tender all at the same time. The rice is the most flavorful rice Ive ever eaten at a Greek place. The customer service is wonderful they are polite and attentive. Theres no reason for you not to come by and try some of their homemade authentic Greek food

2019-03-09 22:29:12This place is legit, as my daughter would say. And so it is, from the super sweet Greek owners to the baklava made fresh almost every day. We had the spanakopita and gyro platter, generously portioned, and both were yum. The baklava was some of the best Ive ever had and plenty for two. Cant wait to go back and try something different!
