Ordered hunan beef plate for 16$ and it was more bell pepper and onion than beef. There wasn’t much meat for the price. Pretty disappointed
Worst Chinese food ever first time I went there it was nasty decided to give them a second chance and it was terrible I live close so I also like to support my local businesses but never again will I attempt to eat this food save your money it was a complete waste it went in the garbage one bite into the foodUp date on this restaurant so a family member came over the other day with chow mein from green jade restaurant and look what was in his food this is some kinda metal object in it this is unacceptable if my family member would have swallowed this piece of metal it could be very bad
I had a great time here. The restaurant inside is spacious, clean, and the servers were friendly. As usual we couldnt all agree what to order, so one of us had a combo plate and my wife and I sampled of a couple of the entrees. Service was quick, and the dishes tasted fresh and were exactly what I was hoping for. The portion sizes were generous and pricing wise was in the 10-12$ per entree range, which seemed reasonable for the amount of food. The outside is unassuming, but I would encourage you to try this place and youll find a great neighborhood restaurant.
I have been looking for a decent Chinese Food Restaurant for some time now and I believe I have finally found it.I actually had become leary of trying any new places due to one bad experience after another. Im just glad I tried one more time.The order of Sweet & Sour Pork was very tasty indeed but The Broccoli Beef was absolutely delicious!I went with an order of The Combination Skinny Noodles instead of The Chow Mien and it was amazingly good.(I would have to imagine the chow mien would be worth it as well)The order of 8 deep fried prawns were good but my only complaint about them is they were slightly over cooked but nothing worth actually complaining about and I might just give them another try again in the near future.Portion sizes were just about perfect(a lover of good Chinese food like myself always wants more...I like leftovers and I was able to achieve that goal)The staff was very polite and kindThe Service was prompt and the food arrived quickly.*As crazy as this might sound, I plan to go back and leave a nicer tip and let them know I appreciate their efforts and look forward to enjoying more of their tasty dishes SOON!SO...If you are either looking for someplace new or youre a first timer...Give Green Jade Restaurant a try
Its mostly vegetables, which wouldnt have been such a bad thing if it werent for the fact that I could COUNT how many pieces of meat they used. Rip off.Edit: it tasted good though

We have been going here for a long time and the quality has been decreasing more and more lately. We have tried to hang in with them but it isn’t getting any better. Price isn’t bad, but the quality is. Ordered a shrimp entree and there was one shrimp and it was over cooked. Tons of hot peppers and few other veggies. Might try them again in a couple months to see it is any better
Used to love this place but the past couple of times food taste and quality have gone down. Such a bummer since it used to be one of our go to places. It was never authentic but it was solid “American Chinese” food. Hope they improve but we probably won’t be back unless we got desperate.

This is my go to place for Chinese. The prices are inexpensive, you get a lot of food (filling a platter) and the food is always good. Their lemon chicken is so good, it’s a must order if you’ve never had it. They are always friendly when you come in and the service is good. Don’t be surprised to find them busy both with diners and people picking up orders. This is a can’t miss place if you’ve never tried it.
Went here for lunch and ordered dinner for 2 to go. Service was great but the food is not like it used to be. Fried shrimp and foil wrapped chicken were so dry I threw them out and everything tasted wierd. Sorry, been going there for years but wont go back.
Went here last week for lunch and I must say the waiters were very nice and have alot of hospitality.On the other hand whoever is the cook or chef now of lately is literally trash. My fried rice was literally fried and crunchy and my black bean chicken sauce was so salty that I felt my blood pressure go up. This place was once very good but lately I dont know.
For the price and quality/speed of service, I thought it deserves 5 stars. Its not the best Chinese food Ive had but its overall very good. The server was quite the character, making jokes all the time and keeping the mood uplifted. This restaurant is in a pretty rundown strip mall... good for them for lifting the standard in the area.
Excellent food. Had the orange chicken and it was delicious. Tasted the broccoli beef and it was good too. The beef was flavorful and just right on thickness. Tasty rice and chow mein. Huge portions. The lunch size could easily be taken home for dinner too. Owner is wonderful and has a sense of humor that makes you smile.
Tossed the food it was so terrible. Generals chicken is 0% like any General Tsos Chicken I have ever had, which I guess is why it is called just Generals Chicken, and it was disgusting with hard old overcooked tough crunchy chicken (and no it was not battered).BBQ Pork appetizer was likewise rubbery and chewy. Easily one of the worst places I have eaten at. I threw it out.
Never knew about this restaurant until last year. Stopped by for lunch and Ive been hooked ever since. Huge lunch plates and delicious too. Service is always great and my food is served Quickly. I would give this place 5 stars but the water has a slight fluoride taste to it that Im not crazy about( a cold one fixed that problem)
I live in nearby and I like to support out local business. Today was my third time at Green Jade Restaurant. I can honestly say, the first 2 times, I was a big fan of Green Jade, the food quality and portion size, the lunch and dinner specials were great! Unfortunately, that ended today!! I ordered Green Bean Chicken for lunch today, unfortunate the beans were many days beyond usable, yet they put it in my stir fry. Upon my first bite, I had to spit the vegetables out of my mouth!! It was horrible!!! I called, the manager, he was rude and unapologetic. I drove back to the restaurant and return my pickup order. I stated politely, the first 2 times were good, but they had lost my business going forward because they tried using vegetables beyond aged! (to be fair, I gave them 5 stars for the first two visits and zero for the last, thus a average rating of 3 stars). But going forward, they lost my business! Aged vegetables!! (Nasty!)
My all time favorite hole in the wall Asian dining. Food is always fresh and made to order. The owner and staff are always friendly and he remembers me and my family and our usual order EVERY time we visit. Clean, quiet and generous portions for the price. I travel just for this place!

I tried on four occasions to like the food because this is a local business, but its just not good. The food tastes like it was cooked in yesterdays oil, and the head waiter uses bizarre humor to barely hide his contempt for his customers. Look in his eyes—hes not smiling.
This restaurant is easy to just drive past in the old El Camino plaza, but the food is fantastic! It was my first time in, but I left full and happy. Definitely try the egg flower soup!

Excellent separation of flavors from dish to dish. Often times food at Chinese restaurants the food blend together. Not here.My favorite is curry noodles also their cast iron sizzling seafood & egg drop soup.Service is excellent as well as the speed of the food coming out. Everything was hot.The owner Louie is funny.
We have been coming here for at least 25 years. Love their Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, and their tomato beef (not sure that was ever on the menu, but my late husband ordered it a lot).And when I bring friends here for lunch, they cant believe the generous servings and reasonable price.
Good tasting food with huge portions with very affordable price! The lunch specials are the way to go. I’ve never heard of having PORK FRIED rice (usually just steamed white rice) along with the classic entry of your choice, with a choice of chow mein or chow fun, and with an egg roll! You also get soup if you dine in. Sheesh! My take out container could barely shut it’s lid...

Have been going to Green Jade for years. Took a break probably because of Covid. Went back today and was pleasantly surprised. The sesame chicken was delicious, prawns in the fried rice done perfectly. Plenty of goodness in the everything chow main.
I went in before covid but this place was way too good for me to not review considering some of the sub par Chinese food Ive tried in this area. The host/waiter engaged in friendly banter with me, he really cracked me up and made me feel welcome. The food was off the friggin chain and in super generous portions. Definitely a must visit if you havent.
Comedy! Not something you expect or even want when ordering Chinese food. But the gentleman, who takes your order, might make funny remarks to where it keeps everyone in a good mood. The food is pretty good to my wife and I plus the price is very reasonable. The wait time is very low compared to other restaurants I have visited which I is a lot of restaurants.
I ordered over the phone based on the menu provided on the website. When I went in to pay for the food my bill was higher than expected. I asked how much the items were, and sure enough the prices didn’t match. I questioned them and they said that the website is from old owners. They just lost a customer
The food is delicious and affordable, the place is clean, and Costumer Service is great. My husband and I have been going there at least once a week in the last month ever since we discovered this place and its totally worth the 30 minute drive from home.
We dine at Green Jade about once a week. Every meal we have ordered has been excellent! The vegetables always seem fresh. I do recommend Green Jade for any one who enjoys healthy and tasty food!

Their food is just okay, not great. However, they do have more selection of dishes to choose from than others. The food is fast, didnt have to wait long at all after ordering.
I have been eating here since 1989, thirty years. The food is always consistent, not salty, and tasty. Since I have been eating there I think there have been only 3 owners. I gave up on other Asian restaurants, even frank fats, whose food is over salted and somewhat greasy. Green jade has a selection for all kinds of diets. If you need a change, just ask them. Louis is a waiter there. He is a jovial man and he sets the right tone for you to enjoy your meal. He calls me channel 3 when I come in only because my first name is the same as one of their anchors. You will not be disappointed with your meal at green jade.
This place is great! We go here on a consistant basis. They have only ever had my order wrong once and I could tell the gentleman was personally upset that he did not get it right the first time. Good food and kind staff.
I have gone to Green Jade for many years and their food has always been 5 star. But tonight we ordered our usual, egg Foo young, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken. Sesame chicken was ok, but everything else was smothered in onions and maybe now under new management they have a new cook. FIRE THE COOK AND GET OLD COOK BACK!!Now, a year later and decided to give another shot. Worse!!!!!!!!! ☠️

The staff was friendly but the food was terrible the broccoli and beef was under cooked l, sweet and sour pork was hard, fried wonton were cold, the orange chicken was ok and the fried rice was cool but to me this place wasnt worth the money I wouldnt recommend it
What a hidden gem! A very good Asian restaurant in one of the oldest shopping centers around. Dont let the location fool you. Very tasty food, good size portions and the people are super friendly. We will be returning soon.

Consistently the best Chinese food in Arden Carmichael area hands down. Everything I have tried is excellent. Pork Chowmein, Peking Pork 👌, Foil wrapped Chicken, Rice and fresh crunchy veggies in the Kung Pao Chicken. THANK YOU👏👏👏👏👏

I have lived many places all up and down the West coast and even well into Canada for a time, even then this is the place I have craved the food from. Neg. not much NaCl, our take out was ready way too fast to have been made to order, and the Egg Foo Young (not too sure how it could have been made with eggs). Still try it out they had plenty of other dishes, which may be the best Chinese food out there.
