Green Tomato Grill is a great place to take anyone looking for a wonderful vegan or vegetarian restaurant. The good news is that there are non-vegan options, too. Everything we have eaten here is very tasty and served hot. During this visit, we ordered the corn chowder, and it was very flavorful, and it has some heat if you like spice! The service is always fast and friendly, I highly recommend Green Tomato Grill.

The food was really good I got the house salad and added black olives + pepperchini’s. The Greek dressing is super tasty! Also the fried cauliflower for me it was the perfect texture and flavor. I love that the Buffalo sauce comes on the side for dipping. Also I’m NOT VEGAN so I did substitute the ranch for the chipotle ranch which was really good. I almost went back the same day for more lol I spent about $14 for lunch so I was pleased

The food tastes good, but theres barely any protein in these portions. Theres more carbs than anything else in their bowls, so in terms of the macros alone, its overpriced. The worst item I tried was the sweet potato fries: the portion was small, and the fries were super soggy. Ive tried the food here a few times, and I wont come back any time soon.

The food was really good. But the service was just extremely rude. We asked if they had coffee, the answer was positive, so we paid for it. When we reached the self service coffee station, the coffee was cold. I asked if they could warm it up, as it is cold the answer was that they dont have a microwave. I thought they would simply brew some new coffee. I asked if they had some fresh coffee to refill the cup-the answer was No one else ordered coffee, so we didnt brew more.That was pretty rude and it seemed like they didnt care. Unfortunately with such great food, the service is terrible.

When we arrived we werent greeted by anyone, we questioned out loud if there were any employees there. The employee of the month said shed be right with us. Took another 5 minutes before she could. We began to order breakfast items and she said breakfast ended at 11. It was 11:07 at this time. I get it, there are rules. The way she handled it wasnt great. Food came quickly. Nashville hot sandwich was great. I would not suggest the fried tofu vegan option. The tofu was dry and flavorless. Still undecided if Id want to come back to this place. I would say its alright, needs customer service help.

Love the mix of vegan options and healthy non-vegan options at this place. This is my second time here and its not even close to my house. Thats how much I like this place. This time around I got the grass fed beed burger with a side off crispy cauliflower. It was... amaze balls!!! The vegan burger was also very good and the patty was super thick so it is larger than the beef double burger. I highly recommend this place

This place was AMAZING! I am gluten-free and vegetarian, so my options are usually limited, but here they were so accommodating! I got the ranch wrap with avocado as a protein, sweet potato fries, and the chipotle ranch for dipping. All three of those items were so scrumptious it blew me away.Im new to CA but I will definitely be here again!!!

The food is great here but it’s not consistent.. today I order a burrito, had the potatoes were undercooked, the meat all in one side.. kinda ruined the experience of it. I’ve had items that come with avocado not come with it because they forgot. I’ve ate here for years now and my rating is an average of all those times I’ve come here.

HIGHLY recommended this place!!! East Coaster here-- I LOVE fried green tomatoes but am pretty sceptical of West Coast places making them -- what a pleasant surprise I had when I ordered them! The crunch of the corn meal coating, the firm (but not hard and sour) green tomato taste and lightly seasoned, are just how we make them in Virginia. I also ordered a Greek wrap and loved it too! So many great tastes rolled up in a wheat wrap. Only down side is that I didnt order 2 orders of the tomatoes and this place is an hour away from where I live.

I have eaten here many times over the past few years; today was the first time I have eaten the burger, as I usually go for a healthier option. Holy smokes, you all! This is my go-to lunch place in HB! Great options in their menu for everyone whether you are a vegan or non-vegan. My favorites are their Chimichurri Bowl and Miso Bowl. Cameron was super friendly and efficient. The restaurant also gives you a comfortable vibe if you bring your family or if you just want to stop by for a quick lunch when you are busy!

I ordered the Chile Verde Steak.It was an overpriced Chipotle:- the steak was hard and dry- the rice was really plain, the menu says cilantro-like rice but it didnt have any hint of lime or cilantro.- little beans and lots of riceMy husband order the salmon with mixed greens and he like it.2 starts because my meal was almost $10 and I will prefer to go to Chipotle where the same kind of food tastes better and you get more for less. They are friendly and the salmon was good.

Great Place. They have really improved the location. They have a huge menu with many diverse options. I guess that I would say its Asian-fusion cuisine it does not fit into any one category. Definitely something for everyone.I had the Mediterranean Chicken bowl for 10.54$. You could tell it was made from fresh ingredients and was not precooked then microwaved. Really good, although with the Greek vinegar dressing and Kamala Olives it was a bint intense. (2) I also had the Miso Salad with Salmon combo which came with fries and a soda. that came to 16.65$. The dressing was very intense, I couldnt finish it. Another interesting item on the menu was and environmentally friendly hamburger from New Zealand. The cows are grass-fed so thats really good for the environment. A burger fries and drink combo would be 15.60$.This is a super popular place. They seem to pull in locals and college students from Golden West College taking night classes. The prices are a little bit more than you would expect, but this is handmade gourmet food.The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. They also try to be good to the environment, which means you have to ask for a plastic straw--one of the few places actually following CAs new law. (I took my straw home and put it in my recycling bin.)Another great option for eating out in HB.

This place is so cool about gluten free...I have Celiac Disease Which means that a very very tiny amount of Gluten can make me quite sick. They have separate prep areas and totally understand cross contamination. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Flavors were good and the selection of gluten free options was great! However, the kids bowls had barely any food in them - half filled! Nearly every meat choice required an up charge. Even the kids bowls had the same up charge for steak as the adults, but their portion was so small. I really wanted to like this place, but the cost is just too much. Sadly, we will not be returning.

I love this place, from the ambience to the food. GF options for my wife and a wide variety of protein options as well. I did have a mild inconvenience while dining in but Ariela runs a great shift and took care of my wife so she could enjoy her meal with her dietary restrictions. 10/10 on hospitality, will definitely be back.

The food was good, and service was fine. You order at the counter and they bring food out. There is no outdoor seating whatsoever. The ambience was more of a cafeteria-chain restaurant vibe than a so-cal health vibe. I was disappointed with the menu changes from what is posted online. They no longer have tomato bisque soup, and they were out of butternut squash soup. They also no longer have goat cheese, and it looked like there were a number of other menu changes as well. All that being said, the GF flatbread chicken sandwich I had was delicious.

This is biased because of my personal taste. I had the pork bowl and it was tasty, but my companions choices were not great. This is a place for the keto, vegetarian, vegan, lets get a bite after the gym crowd. If lean and leafy is what you seek... this is the place for you.

Excellent choice for healthy well made food. The happy vegan is my favorite dish they make. If youre a meat eater, they make chicken extremely well here as well. Honestly everything is good. The line can get long during lunch but they have a good system. First you wait in line to go to the cashier who takes your order, then you wait in line while they prepare your food, then you pay and add any drinks or desserts.

A quaint and comfortable cafeteria environment with fresh healthy food and a polite young knowledgeable staff. I had the Poke Bowl and sweet potato fries. They were good. Not a huge wow factor, but very flavorful and clean tasting. The WOW factor was the Cucumber Ginger Mint Lemonade. I have never tasted anything more refrehing. I would stop in just for that. Prices are fair; not cheep and not expensive. I will be back to try other healthy gluten free meals. They do have great options for Vegan and Vegetarian. This place is absolutely worth a visit.

Every time I come here its either my order isnt complete or they mess the order up. After specifying no avocado on my order. Due to my can not eat avacodo. I was then given a card for a free entree which isnt redemmeable at the location. So then I still had to pay. My wife called the order in this time hoping the order would be right nope they didnt even have the order. She called it in at 5:09pm on September 23rd. This is very bad business. Save your money. Stopped for a Greek salad and well, horrible. The worst Greek salad I’ve had possibly ever. How do you mess up a Greek salad? The chicken which I was told is pre-mixed ahead of time, was all thigh meat and chicken scraps. I asked and they said there is not a chicken breast option. To have the “thigh” meat chicken breast it was additional which is pretty standard at most places you order a salad, but it was $5 for some thigh meat about a small single cup of it if you’re lucky. Ok then from there it just kept getting worse. No tomatoes, some canned artichokes, miniature kalamata olives which tasted old and leftover, wilted old romaine lettuce, wilted spinach, way too many pepperocinis overpowering the whole salad, um, let’s see what else… no feta cheese on a Greek salad, uh yeah, and we’ll you get the picture. All of this for $10.95 +$5.00 + tax to add up to over $17.00 for a standard paper plate filled with this concoction. Do yourself a favor and keep right on searching for somewhere that takes pride in their food and doesn’t price gouge you while smiling when they do it.

I have been wanting to try this place and finally made it in around 11:30am. Line was minimum but the place was packed by noon. Lots of choices but I chose the Thai Chicken Salad since I’m watching the carb intake. Lots of chicken on the salad, dressing was good. About $10 per entree. My favorite was the choice of unsweetened ice teas. They had a watermelon something that was fabulous. You do have to ask for a straw and/or lid since they are green. They are hidden behind the counter so you can’t reaxh over and just grab one. Definitely going back again!

My first time here on the recommendation of a coworker. There is a small dining area with tables & boothes with self service on fountain drinks & iced tea. I got a Greek steak wrap and it was really delicious, the only draw back was they added a little too much tazek sauce, but I loved the taste of the marinade on the grilled beef and all the veggies inside the wrap. A bit on the higher price point for everyday lunch fare but I will try this quick ordering restaurant again.

First off this review is for a to go order. Placing the order at the front was easy and the location is beautiful. I appreciated the text to let me know my order was ready to pick up. The worker didnt show me my food like other places but I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I got my order. On my way to the car my bag was leaking curry, a bit so I didnt notice, and one step later it exploded out the bottom on to the floor of my car. It ruined my finances book and I had to get my car cleaned because curry is a hard sent to get off fabric. For my first experience at all with this place, this was horrible. After, I noticed their was one rubber band in the bag. Im guessing the staff either didnt tighten it right or barely did and it shifted enough to unsnap and cause all the chaos. I will not be returning here but I recommend if you get a to go order to inspect it before leaving. Positive note...it smelled like I might have liked it.

The best options are soups and stews, they are more affordable than the other options and not too bad tasting. The absolute worst options are found on the breakfast menu. The Mediterranean burrito with vegan eggs is absolutely appalling and a waste of money, the waffle is only good if gotten with chocolate chips which are few and far between. Whether it be, a salad for $10 or a single waffle for $7 is definitely a pricey purchase for a meal that resembles rubish. The burger, finding itself in the middle of all this, is the only item that seems to be priced fairly in all this in its relation to its meatly counterpart. I cant discuss on the items that arent vegan because I myself havent partaken in them. But I just wouldnt recommend any of my friends to go to this place.

Ordered threw door dash (you should never use that service btw). Driver drank my drink and ate my fries. I called in to ask them if they put the straws in the cups and they confirmed they do not. They didnt care at all, didnt even say they were sorry to hear that, they just said call door dash and hung up.Poor customer service.
