I went to Abbot Kinney in Venice with my dog, and found the patio to have lunch without a wait. Theres an outside patio on the side and back of the building.The taste of the food was all pretty nice. I loved the avocado toast because cucumbers were added for freshness. La La Bowl with shrimp was also tasty. My only complaint is that the La La Bowl portion was quite small for the price. 11 tiny shrimps cost $5 extra. I took a photo up close but the plate itself was pretty small.

Food was pretty average — granted, I recognize the experience may be different doordashed vs. dining in. I got the hollywood bowl - no dressing or cheese. The portion size was good though — it’s a healthy light lunch to have. Not bad at all— the food is typical and what you’d expect it to taste like

Both our turkey burger and the salmon was raw, which is unacceptable and dangerous. We ordered through Uber eats and have filed a complaint and expect full compensation for this. Really really bad. Watch the images.

Came here for a late brunch, turn lunch and could not decide what to get off the menu because everything looked so good. We ordered at the counter, received our number, and headed to the outdoor seating area to find a table without a problem as there is tons of seating options. The outdoor area is dog friendly! Overall the food was great, and portions very fair. I loved my salad- it was perfect for a hot summer day. My mom also loved her bowl- it was definitely heartier than the salad. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Considering it’s a rather popular restaurant on Abbott Kinney, the prices are very fair, and drinks were also delicious. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area!

One of the best pretzel buns Ive ever had in my entire life. This place is stunningly beautiful, and the food is out of this world. We had the turkey melt on a pretzel bun as well as the veggie burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend sitting at the bar or on their beautiful patio. Get to know their staff as they were so lovely.This place brings a healthy addition to a street that demands high quality. An absolute treasure.

Really nice place. They have a cute courtyard at the back,in the shade. It’s really lovely and cooler than outside.There was a long queue to get in, so I assume it must be a popular place.I ordered a Hollywood Bowl which is essentially a chicken and cranberry salad with A LOT of rocket! The food tasted good. The sauce was good too. The portion was too big for me… and I felt quite upset about the food wastage…Staff was great! Very friendly, with a smile, and they were under the pump!

They have a salmon pomodoro platter, chicken panini sandwhich and sweet potatoe fries. It’s in a nice location on Abbot Kinney street. I would go there with friends and family for a casual lunch or dinner date but, i wouldn’t go there for a night out. Casual, quick, cute. Ps: Cleanliness is not top notch. I think they can do better.

I meet some friends here for Sunday brunch. The vibe is great but we really did not like the food. The burritos flavor was good but the tortilla was wet and soggy. The turkey burger was just ok, a little grainy but the fries were good. The staff was excellent and the outdoor seating was nice with views right onto Abbott Kinney. It may be worth checking out for the first, but I will not return.

I really wish I could write a better review, but based upon my last few visits I unfortunately cant. I like coming to this place to work on my laptop and enjoy the delicious food and drinks, but the service is greatly lacking. On my last visit I was left outside on the patio in the complete dark only an hour and a half before closing, no one came out to turn the lights on, no one came out to clear the dirty dishes from my table or any of the surrounding tables. On my visit prior, the bartender was so rude I almost felt like not coming back, but I decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately Im going to have to find a new place to take my business because I just dont feel respected or appreciated as a returning customer. The pricing does not reflect the level of service. Just because I pay for my food and drinks upfront doesnt mean the service stops there.

Very weak attempt at “healthy” food that isn’t even fresh. Our salad had rusty brown lettuce, unrope tomato, brown avocado and old tasting chicken. It had no dressing. Blah. Worst cobb salad I have ever seen. Atmospheric is nice, big patio.

This place used to be good. For the last 3 times I came it was not good and I decided to leave a review. Cashier didn’t know the menu at all. When I asked for chicken tortillas soup he said “yes, we have tacos” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ cashier even did not know that they do combo. I asked him what options for combo, he was trying to find out this information. So I ordered combo - chicken tortillas soup with chicken pesto panini. My friend ordered Kids cheeseburger and FRUIT salad. My order came quickly, but instead of the spoon to eat soup the waiter brought me a fork. The taste of the soup was not that good, cuz of the crunchy cheese they put there, plus there was no tortilla strips, no avocado or cilantro, and it was super spicy etc. My chicken pesto was ok, but they’ve put not a good part of the tomatoes in it. My friend was waiting for her food way too long that I already finished mine. And when she got her “cheeseburger”, there was just huge peace of bun with meet, it was hard to find a cheese. In FRUIT salad we found cucumbers 🤷🏻‍♀️ And waiter even didn’t bring the water.

I had an appointment in LA and arrived very early. I headed out to Venice and looked for a good place to have lunch. On Abbot Kinney, I found Greenleaf. The young lady at the counter was so friendly and welcoming. I wish I had taken her name, but she was at the counter on 7/20/2021 around noon. One of their specials was the avocado pizza with aioli. I ordered that and washed it down with a nice, smoky, spicy margarita. Wow, what a lunch this was! Honestly, this was some of the freshest, best-tasting food I have had eating out. I wish this restaurant was closer to me, but the next time Im in LA, I know where Im going. Seriously, if you anywhere close to this place, you need to go. Its excellent!

The vibe here is interesting. Is it a cafe? A bar? Nice that there’s outdoor seating but the tables weren’t super clean. Food was healthy and delicious and came out pretty quickly after ordering. Would eat here again. Felt casual, like we could hang out there and it wasn’t a big deal.

I’ve been here before and really enjoyed it again. You order at the front where they have great food and drinks. I got a pesto chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was perfect! Not too expensive and they brought it out to me on their awesome patio. My partner got the build your own salad and loved it too. They also have a jewelry booth on the way out called Devada that is super cute.

Randomly decided to pop in here while cruising around Abbot Kinney. Ended up getting the citrus carnitas tacos and substituting the tortillas with butter leaf lettuce cups. They were absolutely on point. Crispy lettuce, flavorful carnitas, black beans, cheese, and pico. Definitely worth a try.I grabbed blueberry lemonade to drink, which was tart, sour, and refreshing. All natural and seemed to not have much added sugar, if any at all. They also have CBD drinks!Overall great experience eating out in their back patio.

Living in the area in Marina del Rey, we like to walk to Abbott Kinney and have weekend brunch here because they have really good food, drinks, and a great atmosphere--whether youre sitting indoors or outdoors.This was our third or fourth time here, and we brought some friends from out of town. In the past, weve had the breakfast burrito and sunrise Burger with a side of sweet potato fries and some kind of spicy margarita. Today, we decided to try the country sandwich along with our usual sunrise burger and side of sweet potato fries.Food-wise, its always consistent with excellent food at attractive prices. Service-wise, its usually on point. Today, there was nobody in line at the front, and instead of ordering at the front bar, which is what we usually do, a server actually offered for us to go find a seat and to order with him directly.To make a long story short, we waited 45 minutes today and didnt have as much as even water on the table. We had to remind them that weve been waiting for our drinks, and that other people who were seated 15 minutes after us ended up getting their drinks before us. In addition, the food was not prepared as we asked, and one person in our party was not served any food while the rest of us were served. Lastly, we did not receive any ketchup or aioli sauce with our sweet potato fries, and by the time they finally brought it out, we had finished our fries.Today was definitely not the type of service that we were used to receiving at this restaurant, but we voiced our concerns to multiple waiters and then the manager, and in the end they made it right. We will definitely be back here again, as it is one of our favorite restaurants in the area.

Got the salad pizza with cauliflower crust (made with cauliflower and rice flower) and it was delicious! My boyfriend got the turkey burger which came with delicious sweet potato fries and guac. You can order at the counter to sit at a table or you can get full service in the bar area. The staff were super helpful and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Highly recommend for a nice, healthy lunch.

My wife and I discovered Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop by accident, when we weren’t able to get into one of the more popular restaurants nearby in the available time that we had. There was no line at Greenleaf on Saturday night, when we were there, to order at the counter and plenty of available seating in the brightly lit dining room in the back, as well as in the more comfortably lit bar area behind the counter and bar. We were looking for a more traditional order from the waiter at a table experience, but we were pleasantly surprised by the awesome quality and taste of the food that we received at this counter order joint.I ordered from the build your own entrée menu, and chose marinated tofu as the main, along with faro risotto, and green beans with shallots as my two sides. Everything on the plate was truly delicious. The tofu had a nice charr to it and, although I would have liked the marinade it was cooked in to be a little bit more present, its still had a decent and satisfying flavor.The faro risotto was absolutely the star of the plate with a very nice savory cheese flavor running through it. The green beans, especially mixed with the shallots tasted, great as well. The green beans were perfectly cooked too - just as crispy/fresh as I like them to be.My wife had the La La bowl with faro, quinoa and vegan nacho cheese which she thought was very good, filling bowl, and delicious. It also contained quinoa, black beans, corn, tomato, avocado and baby kale, along with a dressing that a little bit of a spicy kick to it.There are plenty of other vegetarian options to choose from including seasonal specials like baked butternut mac & cheese, paleo cauliflower rice, salads, bowls, a flatbread and much more. So if youre a vegetarian youre definitely not going to go hungry here at The Green leaf Gourmet Chopshop.They also have seasonal cocktails and, unfortunately, they were out of the Apple Caramel Mule which is what I wanted, and which sounded absolutely delicious. That was a bit of a bummer since it was fairly early on a Saturday night that they were already out of this particular item. I still wanted a cocktail though and ended up with the Fig and Lemon. This is made with fig jam, and bourbon. It was sweet-ish and well mixed, with a little bit of the visual element of, what Im guessing were, seeds from the fig jam mixed in with it. It did the job it was supposed to and made me happy.The service was also very quick which was unfortunately for us a requirement of the evening as we had to be an event with a hard start time (which is why we didnt end up waiting for a table at the nearby restaurant that we first went to.) Though it was slightly awkward that the food came out before the cocktail. I would imagine most people, myself for sure, would want to start on the cocktail and enjoy that in a leisurely fashion before the food comes out. Also the bar table we sat and wasnt clean and had food on it, but it was the only available table in the bar area so its where we chose to say it. The dining room in the back had plenty of seating but it was way too brightly lit for dinner, we thought. It took us a while to get the attention of someone to clean the table for us, and when they eventually did they actually didnt do a very thorough job and left bits of food from the previous diners right in front of me on the table top. That was disappointing and I ended up just cleaning it myself with a napkin, and it didnt really affect my enjoyment of the food.There are some great restaurants on Abbot Kenny - some super fine dining and popular options which we love to eat at, but in a time crunch and knowing that we’ll get delicious food with lots of vegetarian, and gluten-free options, we wouldnt hesitate to come to Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop again.

Greenleaf has quickly become a staple of mine. Good food, great ambiance, always cute dogs around. A more healthy option with salads, sandwiches, and such. My go-to is the turkey melt on a pretzel bun. Its a bit pricey but on Abbott Kinney nothing is cheap.

This place was very interesting and the experience was overall very fun. The whole theme of the place (garden ) is very quaint and picturesque. The place is spacious but there are so many tables that is feels right and the staff has problems moving around. I ordered a turkey burger and my girlfriend ordered a cauliflower pizza ( which is made partly with brown rice flour so abstain if you cant eat grains). The quality was very good and it wasnt expensive at all.

I loved dining here this weekend! The outdoor dining area is so spacious and lively. They had lots of fun music playing. It was a great stop just off of Abbott Kinney. You order at the front and the servers will bring you the meal. The menu is full of healthy interesting dishes with several vegan and vegetarian options. They also carry a variety of cocktails, wines and beer. If youre looking for something chill, easy and quick, but still want a place to sit down for a bit, this is a great place to try!What we ordered:- Spicy Avocado Vegan Burger: Very satisfying and delicious. It comes ala carte so be sure to order a side of your favorite fries. I got the pickled jalapenos on the side and Im very thankful I did because it would have definitely been too spicy if not. It is also served with smashed avocado, tomato, arugula, and nacho aioli.- Pesto Chicken Panini: My boyfriend was very happy with this!- Garlic Fries: Yes yes these were delicious. Surprised at how flavorful every dish is. Great menu for brunch and lunch. Had the ahi sandwich. Sriracha aioli was a touch too spicy for me but I don’t have a high tolerance. Wife got the breakfast sandwich which had some amazing pesto spread. Highly recommended.

The line at the butchers daughter was too long and we decided to have our breakfast here, nextdoor.It was ok. But the coffee was only “acceptable”, we should have gone to the blue bottle 100 feet east.The croissant was also quite regular, nothing to recall.The chicken pesto panini was actually quite ok.The bowls looked ok too (we have not tried any)So, if you need a quick bite, the green leaf may be a good option.But your coffee elsewhere.

Its been a good while since I was able to find a green leaf kitchen, so when I saw that there was one in Venice I was so excited. The last time I saw one was in Calabasas years ago so I definitely have to check them out. The customer service is very great, friendly and everyones really happy and super nice I ordered a turmeric latte and my wife got I believe it was called the green leaf martini ( she said it was very sweet and wasnt a fan ) but they were nice enough that when we asked, they made her a different drink. A spicy margarita with a tahin rim that she loved. We ordered the Almond Crusted Chicken sandwich and fries to share which I will say as a downside we were waiting for quite a while until I reached out and asked which they apologized for the wait and at their best to make it right they were able to get us a fresh sandwich and fries quickly, which I will say... WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS Even better Then I remember from years ago I may not live nearby, but I would definitely return again and I feel like the experience was a step away from five stars if youre nearby I would DEFINITELY check them out

Ordered the lemongrass chicken which should have had mango and pineapple on it, but instead came with pineapple and pear? I really was wanting the mango. The dressing was laid on the greens a little too think for my taste making other natural flavors disappear completely. The man who rang us up did come by the table to ask how everything was but didnt stick around long enough to listen. Overall I like what they offer, but wished I had received what I ordered and wished I had asked for the dressing on the side. I would recommend this place still as it has some beautiful food.

Love the vibe. Staff are great. Food is above average and satisfying. Friend got a bowl she loved and was surprised she actually finished. It was big. Mine was a Benedict on corn cake. Not as thrilled. One of the staff said I could substitute aspects of it next time. Tea was great. Back patio is wonderful. The entire staff is friendly and supportive. I bring my service dog everywhere I go and as soon as we walked in, one of them gave her a treat!They were patient as I took my time looking through the menu.I ordered:Turkey Melt on Pretzel RollBaked Garlic Fries& Healthy NachosThey also made me a couple of whiskey drinks, I believe it was called the Samurai Sour.There wasnt a single thing I ordered that I was unhappy with.I sat in the back where the comfy benches and decorative chairs were. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.It was my first time going to Greenleaf and I decided to sit at the bar. The food was delicious and of good quality. I had Nicoles flatbread with cauliflower crust and a side salad. However, the service was so terrible and disappointing I would never go back. His negative energy was toxic so we decided to get our food to-go. When we requested our food to-go he was instantly upset and aggressively picked up our utensils and then dropped them. When we paid the bill and said its all yours, not even a thank you came out of his mouth. He didnt deserve the 18% tip we gave him, in fact, he didnt deserve a tip at all. All he did was get us water and take our incomplete order. What a disappointment.

My friend and I were only grabbing a drink, but definitely wished we could have eaten there too! They have bottomless mimosas for the brunch menu, but it ends at 3. Greenleaf is another healthy fast casual restaurant in the likes of Lemonade, Tender Greens, and Sweetgreen. The location is amazing, with a beautiful interior and really nice patio. The absolute worst, most over priced coffee Ive ordered anywhere in the past 20 years. Took 15 minutes for a cup of burned milk. Just absolutely terrible. Arrogant cluesless server at the counter too

The place was beautiful but the service was terrible the men at the bar wouldnt even look our way the soda was horrible and when I tried letting them know there was no syrup in it no one would even look our way didnt ask us how we were doing how we enjoyed our food nothing just treated us horribly I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. If you take it to go its worth it if not Deffinatly dont dine in

Greenleaf is a very good dinning option on Abbot Kinney in Venice. The area is a few blocks away from the main Venice Beach attractions. Greenleaf I s known for very good healthy food options including many plant based, organic, gluten free choices.

Loved the atmosphere, food was very good, very fresh...nice service, but its counter service to order & delivery at the table....so food arrived at wildly different times & several problems with wrong items or entrees that never arrived to the table...& no real waiter to help coordinate or deal with issues.

Wednesday, December 27, 2017Today I had lunch at Greenleaf in Abbott-Kinney and before I had even left the restaurant I started to feel a little ill. I had the steak salad with blue cheese dressing on the side and a beer. I initially thought the swooning feeling I was experiencing in my head was caused by the beer, but soon enough I realized I was beginning to feel the first stages of food poisoning. I am currently at home dizzy and vomiting and incredibly disappointed with the obvious lack of care someone took in preparing my meal.Michelle Lewis
