I was at Grocery Outlet, and Alicia was helping us at the checkout. The Philipino gentleman next to her, had no name tag on and told us You cannot pull out anymore cash. This is very unacceptable. He said it very loud, and everyone was staring at me. Because of this incident I will never, ever shop here again. This was at store #196. I cannot believe this happened, because at other Grocery Outlets, they have never told me this.

Overpriced and a lot of items are near EXPIRATION DATE, THEY HAVE ALOT OF ITEMS IN BI BOXES THAT ARE LESS THAN 50% FULL. HERE ARE A COUPLE OF PICTURES FRUIT BARS 4.25 INCHES IN A 10 INCH BOX. MOST CEREALS, NUTS AND BOXED GOODS ARE USUALLY LESS THAN 50%, THAT ALSO MAKES THE AGE FASTER.

Stopped by here while waiting to pick up food from a wonderful Malaysian restaurant Layang Layang nearby. They had Starbucks and Peets coffee, both ground and whole beans. The place was super clean and everyone was practicing social distancing.

Ive been to most GOs in the bay area at one time or another. This place is HUGE (see my posted pic) Always very clean and isles are very wide, which makes it easy to get passed others in the isle and get to the bargins better. Has more items then most GOs Ive found and right near to freeway and bus lines for weekend shopping . My favorite out of all of them.Very helpful staff.

This is probably the best grocery outlet in the San Jose area. Great selection of quality goods that youd find at whole foods except for largely discounted prices. The only catch is the items they sell are usually pretty close to the expiration date. Make sure you check the dates before you put items in your car because sometimes they are expired or will expire tomorrow. Freezer section is especially good, lots of gluten free and organic options there.

Great healthy food products! The secret is out! This is a great place to get gluten-free, organic and other healthy, natural products. They have many really great items only found at upper end grocery stores for half price or less! I love this store!

Being new to the area, I wasnt familiar with grocery stores available to me. I found this location which is always properly stocked up and always clean. What keeps me coming back is their customer service. More specifically one of their cashiers named Carmen. She always greets you with a pleasant manner and goes above and beyond to make your shopping experience that much better. She has made me of fan of this store and a fan of Grocery Outlet.

Very nice & Quiet place. They keep good quality of items and sell at a very reasonable price, I often go here to get groceries. I initially started going to grocery outlet just to get organic whole milk as it was $1.50 cheaper than other stores as my finace recommended it and then I kind of developed interest for other grocery items too. The section where they keep all the chocolates is really good to check out, I was surprised when I saw the prices and made me realize how much more I was paying at other stores, also their staff is so welcoming and helpful.

I love the store Ive always loved the store. Grocery outlet is the bomb and this one downtown has a lot of awesome merchandise as well as food options and brand options. Cant ever say enough nice things about Grocery Outlet. I only gave four stars though because as a loyal customer who spends a lot of money in their establishment, Im amazed that they wouldnt let me use the restroom. I guess folks these days dont think twice about denying a fellow human being access to the same service that they themselves will require. Its a grocery store with a deal on some stuff but everything else is some weird brand youve never heard of and unlike every other grocery store in the US the dont let a woman who is shopping there since they have been open use the bathroom. The owner and people that work there should be ashamed of themselves for treating people like that and not appreciating their customers. Without us you dont have a business. To bad we all dont stick together and boycot places like this to make them start appreciating us as the people who spend money at their stores.

We go to grocery outlet alot. They have some products that you wouldnt normally find in a regular grocery store. And whats interesting is, they have a very large healthy section with Keto, and Vegan foods. We only go here for special items that we cannot find on our regular shopping trips, this is not a place to get all your groceries at, because some things are priced higher than other places.

For the last few weeks, artichoke vegetables were 4 for $5.. Today I asked the cashier what happened.. you raised the price up 100%? Last few weeks they were 4 for $5. He said artichokes had always been 2 for $5. He said it was the avocados which were 4 for $5.. Is he deliberately lying to a customer? He could have just said, yes they have raised the price.. Instead he made me feel like I was lying or I didnt know what I was talking about.. I have proof of purchase when they were 4 for $5.. I was buying I think every other day..Is he a new cashier? How does he know artichokes had always been 2 for $5.. I did still buy 2 cause I like them but I wish employees would speak truthfully to customers..

I found this place by chance and cant believe how cheap things are. You can stock your freezer with ready made meals for a fraction of the price with good range of vegan, veggie options. Same for yogurts, toothpaste, shower gel etc.Tip is you need to come with an open mind to product types you need but not specifics!Staff overall are friendly and courteous and seldom are there long lines.

There are several Grocery Discount Bargain Markets in the Bay Area. Each is family run, and this one is the best of the three Ive tried.Stock is generally overstock, with more foreign brands than the major chains. Prices can be half the price of the major grocery chains. We shopped there today and found everything we wanted. Their selection of fresh produce is somewhat limited, but in good shape and very affordable. Meat is the same way. Having shopped there for over a year, weve got various favorite deals that we look for there. Savings are substantial. There is usually an item or two that we cant find. I dont remember seeing Kleenex or spray air freshener today.If youre older like me, and grocery prices have you in shock, GDBM might be a great solution for you.Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great place to shop if you dont need a specific thing. The customer service is wonderful, I have never met one of the employees who wasnt nice and very helpful. A couple of them also remember me and my family since we come in so often. The store is always very clean and organized. They have great deals on not just food, but also simple clothes and shoes. I come here often to look at the deals on the random things they offer.

I like this store for the rare organic options at really affordable prices. When you shop at grocery outlet and other discounted grocery store you need to understand the products (produce and meat) are close to expiration date and are not the freshest so buy at your own risk. I usually only pick up things like frozen food, dry goods or baking goods. Theyre clean and usually organized in a way that you can easily find things.

I really like the grocery outlet, they have outstanding prices. The only small problem I have with them. They dont always have what you need to complete a meal, when youre in a rush. Say for instance youre making tacos for dinner. They always have meat, tortillas, cheese, sour cream produce like lettuce, tomatoes but they might not always have the taco sauce. which means youll have to go to another store to purchase taco sauce. thats just a small example. the same thing applies if youre making lasagna or spaghetti one of the items wont be in the store.I forgive them there so hard-working and they stayed open to the pandemic so customers could buy food. I love the grocery outlet and the reason Im giving them four stars is because of the TACO SAUCE.😂

If you can deal with the hit-or-miss nature of the inventory, this is the go to place for grocery shopping and party-prep. Did a quick run to get some food and bought a bottle of wine for cooking. After showing my ID card. The Clark asked me to remove my mask to further identify. I complied because I didnt want make a big deal and was comfortable with it. However, I dont think everyone would be comfortable removing their mask during this health crisis of covid-19. Management should be making changes to their policy on ID check and Mask. This 1 star was given to the manger at grocery outlet. Not the Clark.

Was shopping there yesterday and had the misfortune to meet the new owners. We had noticed a scanning error and drew it to the cashiers attention. The cashiers called the owner to let them know the error that was made by the store. He REFUSED to stand up to the error that had been made by his employees and would not honor the price !!!!! After listening to his rude disrespectful comments, we walked out without our grocery cart full of purchases that had been rung up. It was a good store before these two purchased it!!!!!MY RECCOMENDATION DONT SHOP AT THIS MILPITAS GROCERY OUTLET.and if you do....................Be very careful about the products you buy, I found today moldy chedder cheese packages. In the past have found moldy bread, products with expired expiration dates. Frozen items that had been left out of the freezer too long and then returned to the freezer..... NASTY products on the shelf... But let The Buyer Beware. Be alert and check the package out and if possible the contents.....

It is outlet. So expect low quality and about to expire items. That is ok. The bad is :There is a Old lady named Rashmi in checkout. If you dont watch she will edit the prices, bill the same item twice. When it happened to me for third time, I caught her red handed, billing me twice for my room spray.When I complained to her manager who acted as good cop, she apologized, but searched my cart to find out if I am hiding the other room spray of the two displayed in the bill.
