Good food, good ambience, good security, all stars! Jalapeño poppers were cheesy and crispy. Chicken avocado salad was served with light crispy shell. Chicken quantity could be more but taste was good. Burrito was also delicious. Interior is colorful, decorated in mexican style. Jalapeño margarita was tasty too. Cheque came with complementary cinnamon chips and whipped cream.

Amazing food and great service! My husband had the arroz con pollo, and I had the nopales con carnitas, both come with beans/rice/tortillas and were so tasty. For dessert we ordered tres leches, and theirs is perfectly moist, light, and delicious! This whole meal cost about $60, which is very reasonable because the plates were huge. The beautiful interior decor is colorful and fun, with the ceiling made to look like a twinkly night sky. If we ever come through the area again we are definitely going to stop here for a meal.

Wonderful atmosphere in an authentic Mexican restaurant. Great food, al pastor soft tacos were delicious along with rice and beans. Wait staff was every friendly and efficient. Came by in the early afternoon, think they might be fairly busy around dinner.

Amazing place for dinner date!Great ambience, delicious 🤤 food, huge portions, vegetarian friendly, outstanding service - all in all one of the best meals I have ever had in my life.The staff was so friendly and supportive since we were the last ones for dinner and they didn’t rush on us. We stopped here on our way up to Oregon. It is the most reviewed Mexican restaurant in Redding (and I assume the best).Great vibe and really good food. As usual I ordered chili relleno and was not disappointed. Also had the Chile verde chalupa, very good, but a little light on the sauce (but I suppose that’s deliberate to minimize dripping.) wife had a tamale with no complaints. Margarita was stiff (no skimping on the tequila).We plan to visit again.

Authentic Mexican restaurant in Redding. Pretty good size of dining area. The food options are plentiful and there’s something for everyone.The decor is pretty nice as well! Service was very good and quick. Parking is tight but I guess enough for the restaurant visitors. The Tostada was amazing and probably among the best anywhere!

Authentic Mexican cuisine! We stopped by this restaurant for dinner on our way to Dunsmuir and were totally blown away by the cuisine, vibe of the place, decor and most importantly the kind staff. They have a dedicated vegetarian menu for vegetarians. To start with, the salsa was too good in taste and unique as well. We ordered enchiladas de espinacas and combo vegetariano. First, the portions (per dish) are humongous and more than enough for two people to share. Next, the food quality was beyond delicious, the enchiladas had the stuffing of spinach and other veggies inside, everything served on the plate was unbelievably tasty 😋. The staff continued to check on us if we needed something. They close at 8 and we came in around 7:30, they didn’t rush on us at all and greeted us well. I definitely recommend this place who wants to try authentic Mexican food. Last, we were given a small complimentary desert.

As a Mexican gal, it hurts to be given food that is this mediocre, bland and oily. The salsa wasn’t spicy nor flavorful. I KNOW the salsa and most of the food came straight from a can without adding any seasoning.The staff was kind and helpful, and the margaritas were good. However, it pained me paying for so much this food. Although I’m sure some folks would disagree on this review, I know I would’ve been better off eating at chipotle or Taco Bell. 😭😭😭

Guadalajara is a family owned, family ran restaurant. There service is second to none, there food is out of this world. Where the gift of love keeps giving and the drinks keep coming.The atmosphere, the decor, and the smiles along with the best food you will ever have is the reason why I keep coming back. Is there other Mexican restaurants in town? Yes of course there is and I’m sure they are great respectively, but you will not have the same experience that you will have if you go to Guadalajara. It is not just about the restaurant it is about the experience in the service.P. S. If you want to order something that is life-changing and that it’s not on the menu? Order the Armando tacos. I have NEVER had bad food or a bad experience here. In my opinion it is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. I ALWAYS get the steak fajitas and everything is always top notch. The only reason it got 4 stars in service was because I wanted a mild salsa and they kept bringing me hot because of a language barrier but they made me feel comfortable regardless.

Great atmosphere, the colors were so beautiful in the building, a charmin Jardin look. Reminded me of some homes in Mexico. The food was enjoyable, could use some upgrades but overall a great experience, my drink was especially delicious and the owner attended us attentively.

This restaurant was referred to me by someone who said they had been there and really enjoyed it. I must go back and talk with them - they must have been to the wrong restaurant. I think that I have said that Im no foodie, but I know how to cook and what it a good meal and what is not.This restaurant was embarrassingly bad. I recognize that some eateries are, unless they are in a bigger city where there is more similar places against which to compare, or the chef/owners are escaping from the city and opening a place that just their names will attract attention (Pangea, Point Arena, is an example - founded by two top chefs from San Francisco a number of years ago, now closed), are undeserving of some of their reviews.The margarita at the top of the list says in clear print Fresh mix - it came out of a bottle and was horribly sweet. There was a lip mark on the edge. The chips were not made there and were stale, tasteless, and I have eaten better cardboard. The salsa was not bad.We were taking our time ordering, and the wait staff asked us about three times if we were ready. I politely said no each time. The last time the individual walked off in a huff, and I could see him complaining to someone. I ordered the pork-ball soup (Albondigas) in a rich broth. That broth was watery with fat floating in the top and the days overcooked celery, carrots, and gooey potatoes lurking in the bottom. It is not supposed to be super-thick, but not dishwater thin like this was. I was drinking water through the night, it was so salty. My wife ordered Quesadillas and while the black beans were ok (out of a can), and the guacamole edible, the actual Quesadilla was mushy, the meat when I was able to find it, was obviously not even close to fresh. It was all shriveled up. The waiter came over to ask the obligatory How is your meal? and when I said only OK he took offense at my comments, muttered something about the chef (his English was not good), and stormed off. Why is it that one feels like one has to say the food is good - when it is not. It is as if why ask in the first place if the restaurant is not interested in knowing in that first place. I took a trip to Australia via Hong Kong and went to the British chef Jamie (name?)s, restaurant along the harbor - the hamburger was not very good and I mentioned it to the waiter. The chef came out, asked a lot of questions of me, listened carefully, apologized, and gave us free of charge a whole new order - AND came out to check again. Now that is listening to the customer!So much for that restaurant - Id never go back. There is a comment in these reviews about the large portions of food. Large portions are still large portions of bad food. There was a food truck near the hotel that had a crowd outside. I stopped out of curiosity - it smelt wonderful and the enthusiastic diners were most complimentary. Just goes to show that you can get good Mexican food in Redding after all.

Guy Fieri needs to check out Guadalajara Restaurant in Redding, CA.I just had one of the best and tastiest Mexican meals in a very, very long time. No complaints. Everything from the House Special of Chicken Enchiladas to Fresh Guacamole and Salsa to the Awesome drinks was just super delicious. Our food came fast and piping hot. I would drive 2 hours again just to eat lunch or dinner here.Hey Guy Fieri, this place should definitely be your next stop on Triple D. You wont be disappointed.

Great dining experience . I only wish I remembered my waiters name he deserves a shout out for excellent service throughout. This place is impeccably clean and the food is very good. They serve a great margarita and very good salsa and housemaid chips. For dinner I had a chili relleno and pork tamale combo. The pork tamale was the only downfall of the menu as I found it quite dry. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening here!

Top notch service in this era of staff shortages. We were seated promptly and brought chips and salsa right away. Drink orders were filled and orders taken without a wait. The food came out hot in a timely manner. Our water glasses were never more than half empty either. This all took place around 5:30-6:00pm with the restaurant almost full capacity.

We love it here. Came for moms birthday and they made it a blast. Turned on the night lights for a gorgeous ambiance. Sang Happy Birthday and brought Ice cream. Everyone had a good time. We love Guadalajaras Restaurant. We got there for lunch on a Sunday the parking lot was full ( only 2 spots open ) we had about a 5 minute wait to be seated. The waiter was ready to take our order in the next 5 minutes and we ate our food and then we were Ready for our Monthly Redding Shopping Advebture Day. We spent a total of about 45 minutes there from arrival to departure.Hiwever, the food is so good there was a family (6 kids 4 adults) waiting to be seated for about 30 minutes while we were there. Again they are very busy at this time so if your in a hurry consider coming a bit later or earlier than 1130 which is when we arrived.We spent TOTAL $31.00 (inc 6.00 tip) we had plenty of leftovers and as always we love this place.

I liked the decor, service was nice, menu was good. Prices were a little higher than average, at least in my mind. I received a big plate of food. We came at the end of the night which might explain why the food was alright but just didnt seem fresh. If I come through Redding again earlier Id probably try it again. Always a favorite when in Redding. Great food and many selections. Good portions and shareable. Wonderful homemade tortilla chips and the salsa so yummy. It can get noisy due to being so popular and always filled with customers. Good bar and selection too....lots of margaritas to choose from. We decided this was to be our stop after spending the day hiking the falls at Whiskeytown Lake. Guadalajara did not disappoint, there was a short wait but worth it. Not good. The service was really bad. The guy who served us, Carlos, acts like he doesnt care to be there and acts like youre a bother to him. The chili verde was tough and the tortillas were hard on the edges. The chips and salsa were the only thing we enjoyed. Dont waste your money or time. We had a much better experience at Mazatlan down the road. We wont be back.

The whole experience was rushed and very impersonal. We arrived for lunch and they shoved us into the most uncomfortable booth in the restaurant. Why subjugate anyone to the most uncomfortable seat in the restaurant. These places by design should not exist. If you have a seat people dont want to sit in you should change it and make it better. Clean your walls and floors. Door handles and table tops were sticky. Didnt see a single person cleaning. Kind of a wipe the crumbs from the last person on to the chair of the next, sort of a place. Ask the server a question to turn and see him walking away. Very impersonal, unprofessional, barely any eye contact. Very strange behavior for what was supposed to be a birthday lunch.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food has amazing flavor and my margarita was made perfect. It was a blended mango and peach and if you like something sweet and refreshing I’d suggest it. Our food was delicious and very hot . My husband and I had the verde burrito and Cameron’s Al mojo de ago (garlic style shrimp) . I have no complaints. My wife is from Guadalajara, and I can tell you... this food is not as flavorful as that cooked by her and her family. I dont want to be mean, but the food is just soooo bland... too Americanized. The food is pretty on-par with any family-friendly Mexican restaurant, but the service and friendliness was outstanding. We had 5 people in our party including someone in a wheelchair, and they seated us immediately at a great table even when the restaurant was packed. Our drinks pretty much hit the table as soon as we ordered them, and same with the food. The portions are HUGE. I also got the impression that the staff are all Spanish-speakers, which I always take as a good sign when at a Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was also delightful; lots of beautiful colors and fun decor. Even though it was quite crowded, it was still very comfortable and quiet. The service here was FANTASTIC. Our group of four adults and two kids went to another establishment first (the day after a holiday) and they were much too packed, so we tried somewhere new. Guadalajara got us seated quickly and immediately provided us all with lemon ice waters. Quickly took drink orders and had a great lunch menu. Most of the adults ordered chimichangas and I ordered the tostada. Everyone was very happy with their chimichangas, and they all got different meat. My only complaint was that it took 30-40 mins to get our lunch and my tostada was soggy. Not sure what took so long but our waiter was so kind and attentive. The kids got a bit restless because of the wait however. Very clean, decor was very cool, and prices were reasonable. Since this was our first time I would definitely try them again.

Not great. I love Mexican food and this was probably the worst I have had in a while. Salsa was good, margaritas were made from fresh fruit and not a pre made mix, but the rest was gross. Everything had bell peppers. Everything! My sons tacos were covered in ranchera sauce like chilequilles and could not pick them up like a normal taco. The best Mexican food weve had so far....when we parked the car the scent of tasty food flooded the parking lot and we instantly knew we were in for a treat. There was no wait time for us as we were seated immediately. Our waiter took our order and about 10 minutes later our food came out. The menu was easy to read and we all had different items. The service was great and the surprise of a small dessert at end was delicious..!! There is parking all around the building which does get pretty busy after 5pm. Wort the wait! Had a party of 8 so waited a bit for a table however the service was excellent, great food and reasonable prices. Found a new favorite Mexican food restaurant.

The food was very fresh and flavorful, and the portions were extremely generous. Our waiter was friendly, and attended to our every need promptly. Very nice dining experience!

I dont usually give 5 stars, but the service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and polite, and our food was amazing. The atmosphere is always so upbeat and just a wonderful place to eat.

Guadalajara is 1 of the BEST Restaurants in Northern California. I personally have never been disappointed and Ive eaten at this restaurant for no joke 18 years. A few of the staff still remain there after all this time. They will become your family. Help them out through these hard times. They need it, and I promise you will not regret it. =)
