The food was great, the service was better, the waiter and cook were both incredibly friendly. We left a credit card behind and our server went out of her way to mail it back to us. Could not reccomend more.
First, very slow service and no one was there. Ordered 2 Cadillac Margaritas. They came yellow in Color and very sour. Asked for 2 shots of Gran Marnier. Was expecting to pay for them. But they didnt have any. No Gran Gala either. So what exactly did they bring me? They would have charged me full price thinking they could pass it off, if I hadnt asked for the shots. We got up and left.
Surprising amount of good vegetarian options. Very good vibe / atmosphere. Random, but the fries were really good. They even brought my son a small dessert for free. Definitely coming back here.

This was pollo con arroz. It was dehydrated and dry so I had to order a side of rice you can tell it was much different a fresher. The stuff on top didnt have any seasoning.not worth the price.

One of the worst Mexican restaurants i have ever been to. The service here was super slow.. it took 45 mins for us to get our food and restaurant wasn’t even busy. They made “fresh” salsas but they were so bad. The spicy one was literally crushes chillies.. spicy and no flavor. The food was also less than average. Tacos literally had no flavor, hard shell tacos felt stale. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Delicious, were from out of state. Stopped for some Mexican food and found out they are from a town close by where we live. Friendly service, checks how your doing, atmosphere very comfortable and food was Delicious. I never change my food at mexican restaurants but I did and no regrets.
Im in love eating here! Just wow!!! I order a combo plate one tamale and cheese enchilada. Normally I dont order tamala because most mexican restaurants makes their tamale dry. This tamale was so moist and the waitress reccomend putting enchilada sauce on top of it. So I put the sauce on top of the tamale and it was just so much more flavor! The cheese enchilada I had was so tasty!The service is beyond outstanding. I will definitely be coming here more. I dont know why I never came here when they first open. Im regretting for not coming sooner.Another thing I like about this restaurant they have more parking in the back.
Went here today, Father’s Day for lunch. My family of 3 was passing through Red Bluff on our summer vacation road trip and decided this was going to be a good place to stop. Loved the atmosphere, decor and modern interior. The place was clean and the staff so friendly. There were lots of sitting areas. We got to pick our seats and our menus were brought to us. I ordered the chili verde deluxe lunch special, my husband ordered a wet chili verde burrito and my son ordered the kids grilled cheese. The chips were great, thin yet sturdy with a good amount of crunch. The salsa was good, we asked for a spicier one as well which was brought out and was very tasty. Great flavor. Our food came out shortly and we were very pleased. The sauce on my chili verde was definitely one of the best I’ve had. My husband loved his burrito as well and gave it 5 stars. My son got his grilled cheese and we were very pleased. It was exactly how a kids grilled cheese should be. No surprises. His fries were so delicious as well. My 6 year old son said, “This is the best day ever.” when dipping his fries into the ketchup. Lol. He must have been pleased. Our bill came and was very well priced. It was around $25 for everything. We definitely recommend this place!
I mostly do take out and pick up kid meals for the children I nanny for. They LOVE this place. Guadalajara provides enough chips for them to share and gives them each their own individual salsa. You cant beat their kid meal prices.The Inside decor is pleasant and culturally appealing, bathrooms are clean and usually smell better than most. They can accommodate large parties and tho I havent dines inside in quite awhile the staff are pleasant and great with their recommendations. Ample parking their closed on Mondays.

Given all the work they have done remodeling the old Peking Restaurant, I feel bad dinging them in a review. But, frankly, the food is bland and you can do much better in Red Bluff.For starters the salsa isnt spicy or flavorful. It is runny and warm to boot. Maybe chilled it would be slightly better. Plus, the chips just are odd too. Nice thickness but devoid of any real flavor. Maybe a little salt or lime in the mix would help.I usually go with the carnitas when trying a Mexican place for the first time. These were a little different, something I knew going in, but, again, nothing special. Tasted like run-of-the-mill pork fajitas without the sizzle and too much bell pepper.My Mom went with the chile rellenos and they were very bland and didnt really have much sauce on them. She doesnt like stuff real spicy but she was even disappointed with the taste.Service was fine and the interior is very nice, its just the food has no spice or flavor. Kind of like a hospital having Mexican on their menu. Safe and bland.

Alba was our server and she did a wonderful job! The restaurant was clean, food was great, and we found out the food is made to order so you can make adjustments to your food if desired. I ordered the espresso burrito and it was fantastic! My wife ordered the vegetarian fajitas and they were so good! Alba made our evening very pleasant as we had a rough day and this was our first visit to this establishment. We dont live here but if we pass through again I would definitely eat here again. Thank you Alba!!!
We were traveling and spending the night in Red Bluff and initially chose another Mexican restaurant close to our hotel. As we entered we were told to take any table (we were the only people in the restaurant) but no one brought us a menu so finally we got up and left and went to Guadalajara instead. It proved to be an excellent choice. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the service was timely, and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the Guadalajara Especial and they happily substituted sour cream for guacamole. My husband’s enchiladas suizas were equally tasty. If you are passing through Red Bluff I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food is good and the owners are great people. Cant say more about how welcoming they are. The building is huge so a great place for large parties. We celebrated birthdays there took our out of town family there. We went there alot because it was the kids favorite place in town, they would order a hamburger. I once had a beef soup there it was a special and boy was it good, I would order that anytime it is available. I also like both veggie enchiladas. I like to try diffrent things because they have such a great variety.
I wish I could give 0 stars, my husband and I went there and the food was awful. I got a seafood chimichanga and there was still shells on the crab, and was incredibly soggy Im guessing it was microwaved as well. The beans almost tasted sour the overall experience was just not great. When we first went in I thought the restaurant was nice looking but we were the only ones there during what you would normally think a dinner rush would be like I couldnt figure out why it was so dead but after the food and the experience with the staff I then understood.

Its ok. Nothing Ive eaten there has been bad, and nothing Ive eaten has been particularly special.That being said: the atmosphere and table comfort are outstanding, as is the energy and attention of the staff. You definitely walk away feeling exceptionally well served. The bar and drink menu are also fairly extensive for these parts.
Great atmosphere they treat you like family here! Really good food at great prices. Margaritas are good here too ! Gotta check it out if youre in the area .
I love their chips and salsa. This is my second time eating there. I had the chicken Taco Salad. It was excellent. My two colleagues had huge burritos. The price is very reasonable. Everything was delivered on time and hot just like they took everything off the grill and out of the pot. The staff was super nice. If your traveling down I-5 pull off for lunch or dinner instead of fast food.
This was my first time in this lovely family establishment, they made me feel like family, they were friendly and service was very fast, and best Mexican food I’ve had aside of my kitchen so yes I’m picky and it is delicious !
It has a large menu, but nothing Ive had there really stands out or is better than the equivalent at other local restaurants. It has a rather extensive bar though, so if your focus is more on the drinks than the food then this is the place for you.To be clear: nothing Ive had here is bad. Its just that nothing Ive had here is special or particularly good either.
Very good looking place with even better service and the food to back it up, the Enchiladas Rancheras left me fat and happy and if I ever find myself back in town on another motorcycle ride i will be coming back for more.
Exceptional food and service! I have celiac and need gluten free food. Carla was incredibly well informed and kind, and her dad, the chef, even came out incase we had any questions. My tacos al pastor and my husband’s torta ahogadas were both delicious!

Delicious food with generous portions, and chips included with takeout orders. They also have a special section where you can dine with your dog. Everyone working there was exceptionally kind and friendly. Our new favorite Mexican food on the 5!
The workers here are super nice and outgoing. Both times Ive gone here, the cashiers would engage in conversation with me and treat me very well. The food always tastes great and fresh which I always love coming from a respectful mexican restaurant. There was an issue with my credit card and they helped walk me through the issue even though it was the card companys fault and not theirs.
By far the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in, and, I have been all over the lower 48 states, parts of Canada and up to the border of Alaska! The food is very good and the owners are really sweet people.
Awful. My food was too spicy. Tried to switch meals with my friend and their taco salad was awful. Shell was cold and greasy. The lettuce wasnt fresh and the guacamole was bad. First time there never going back.

The menu and the wait staff are great. Food is good, good sized portions, and the wait staff will happily answer any questions you have. We had a great experience every time we eat here. If looking for Mexican food, this is a good spot.

Absolutely love this restaurant! The staff are welcoming, friendly even delightful. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food excellent. They are very generous in allowing small or large groups to use their facilities. And I must mention the selection of margaritas is affordable and amazing. I go there often and will continue to do so. In a town awash in Mexican Restaurants, Guadalajara is our shining star.

The staff is so friendly and the food is great. The owner came out to clarify what I ordered and then when she brought me my food she also brought a green chili sauce that she thought would compliment what I was eating and she was right! I love how they make you feel special! Worth the trip.

First for the person who said the salsa is not spicy... they offer different levels of spicy salsa. I am here now and they were friendly, clean, the waiter (Marco)new the menu very well and was able to advise us on it. They were very attentive to everyone seated as well as the customers coming in. The wait time to be seated was less than a minute and it was packed. The drink came out in record time. Our food order was done as soon as the drinks came, we have been here for 10 minutes and our food is already here and it tastes great! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Best one in town!!
3rd time there.. 1st time pretty good.. 2nd time horrible, 3rd time, kinda okay..watered down salsa. the rice and beans were good.. the last two times, steak fajita.. raw vegetables, unseasoned beef..3rd time.. steak taco, again.. unseasoned beef.will try them one more time
Excellent service, great food, very comfy seating with a call ambiance. Several craft beers on tap and a full bar. We had the three way fajitas for two and it could have easily fed 4. Will definitely be back!!

The food was very bland. Salsa tasted like it was poured out of a jar, rice had no flavor, the beans tasted like they were out of a can and the steak in my burrito tasted processed which is super ridiculous given the prices. The waitress, while nice, gave me regular coke when I asked for diet. And to top it off, a couple with a dog, not service animal, was allowed to have their dog in and jump at the table. I will definitely not be going back.
One of the most authentic restaurants I have been to in the north state. The people were great, the service was awesome, and the food was amazing. They even brought out different salsas they had when I asked about it. On top of all of that, the price was good.
The food was really good and people really nice. We had had to wait quite awhile to pay for the food after eating. The only thing we didnt like we all noticed a smell when we first got there kind of like seafood that was all through the restaurant. It didnt smell good. But the food was good.
This is fresh Mexican food & good too! We have eaten here twice & enjoyed 2 very different meals. My husband recommended the chicken fajitas. They are sizzling brought to your table. I have had a combination plate both times, very delicious! This is a new stop on Mainstreet. We will be happy to support here. Oh, and the owner is oh so charming and personable 😁

Was impressed with my server and host enjoyed talking FOOD with him great Tequila made me feel welcome good food. Tried the Chili Verde plate it was good however I feel it would have more flavor if you use a fattier cut of pork fat is flavor.
Beautiful decorations and friendly staff. Service was prompt even being somewhat busy around 6pm. My husband had the seafood burrito, which he loved. I personally thought it tasted a bit odd, as Ive never had crab in a burrito before lol. I had a combination plate with a shredded beef taco and chicken enchilada. Taco was delicious but so juicy that it fell apart. Sadly, I never got to try my enchilada because I forgot the to-go box 🙁. Overall, it was very good but kinda pricey, maybe next time well try lunch.
Alba and her family are the most friendly and wonderful people. The staff is attentive and Guadalajara has an amazing atmosphere. If you want the best Mexican food you will EVER eat in your life stop here. No other restaurant will ever come close!

Fist time going in there. I was hesitant going because I have been to the one in Redding and I was not impressed. This one in RB is very clean, beautifully remodeled. I ordered Tacos Al carbon were pretty darn good. Almost looked like enchiladas. Wish I wouldve taken a pix. Will be going back. Oh and out server was very nice and friendly too.

Beautiful restraunt! From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in the door we were greeted with fast service and smiles. The food was amazing!!! My boyfriend got the tacos and said they were the best tacos he has EVER had. Our waitress was lovely, she was up beat and friendly. She even gave us a tour of yhe restraunt. And we got to thank the chefs in person gor the amazing food. Wonderful experience and we will be going back!!
Food was REALLY GOOD.... but, the service was subpar and we found a hair in our food. They did however apologize and get us a new plate of food. I will come back again and hopefully this review finds who it needs to make some small changes to the way the staff performs and grooms themselves/wears a hairnet. But again. GREAT FOOD!!!
My family has gone to the Guadalajara in Redding about once a week for the last 7 years. We made the drive down to Red Bluff to check out the new digs and were not disappointed. Incredible food, super friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Were going to have to start splitting time between the two. Great job!

Today was my first time coming here with my gma and sister. Hands down the BEST taco salad I’ve ever had, the drinks were huge and I didn’t need a refill which is unusual and the salsa and chips were sooooo delicious and flavorful I’m in love I’m considering moving to Red Bluff now haha. And for the customer service... the lady that waited us was so kind she made sure we were comfortable where we sat, gave us fresh chips and salsa and ice waters as soon as we sat down with our menus and the food was super fast and she let us know everything had just been cooked so it was super fresh and straight out of the oven (my mouths watering now haha) towards the end she asked how our day was and if we were locals and it just so happened I came too Red Bluff to file a restraining order on some former friends who have been threatening me and she gave me some wonderful advice and before I had even told her what happened she basically knew the situation and she gave us free desert 😍😭😭 she shared some beautiful words with us and gave us a big hug which made my day/life. I’m telling everyone I know about this place 100%!!! 😁 not to mention the inside and outside of the restaurant are beautiful and they take really good care of the place, thank you Guadalajara and the amazing waitress who helped us you made our day and year ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely be coming back!!
I dont normally write reviews but felt compelled to here. First time eating here/ enjoyed the enchilada plate, wife had beef burrito plate, & my daughter had chease enchilada plate & chicken quesadilla apitizer... Waiter was friendly, on top of everything & gave excellent service. Food was what I would describe as authentic, NOT greasy/ oily yet quite flavorful/ delicious without excessive spices.... Plates are good sized portions where we couldnt finish everything & did to go box. Restaurant was clean & tastefully laid out in a comfortable setting. Will definitely go back for dinner again...... Your hard work as a small family buisness definitely shows!

Absolutely DELICIOUS! We ordered enchiladas de espinaca (spinach and mushroom enchiladas smothered in chile verde sauce) and the kids cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Both were phenomenal! Customer service and speed of delivery was impressive! Even included chips and salsa! Dont miss this Red Bluff Mexican gem!
Ordered take out this evening last minute off a recommendation from a friend at the race track, hands down thumbs up from the thank you from the ones in the back making the food as well as the food itself was some of the best. Will be ordering from here again before we leave town!
The best food in town!! Fresh and hot with the most kind service. Made to please personal requests meals. This is my favorite place to eat when traveling North in California. I look forward to going there again soon.

It was really good, the torta ahogada my husband order was really tasty, my daughter oder garlic shrimp/camarones al mojo de ajo, really good as well. I order the Guadalajara special it was good i just wish it had a little less beans. The waitress are really attentive, all of the workers are really nice. Definitely will be back.
This restaurant is fantastic and in the heart of Red Bluff it is the only place I want to dine in or take home. The place is beautifully done, nicely decorated,and all the people that work here from the owners and their great sons go out of their way to keep their diners absolutely happy
OMG!! Such great food! All, and I mean every person that works there are the most friendly people you will ever meet. We were there for lunch and they were busy, the Chef was even serving the food. Great place!!

The 2 brothers are the best... pops in the back makes killer food like no other. Its my sons and mine new place to eat... salsa is so good if you need to spice it up ask for the green salsa and thats the heat.. been here 3 days in a row and I will be back some more.... thanks guys

We were here 10 or 11 months ago and the food was very good, this time the food was flavorless, salt didnt even help, the Refried beans were probably the best part of the meal and OH YEA, The water was wet and cold just like I like it.
This is THE BEST in the entire Area, all the way North. Carlos, the owner, came out and Greeted up after His Son seated us. The Carnitas, expertly prepared and VERY juicy and perfectly spiced, WAS DEVINE! We will return. I am VERY surprised at the Amount of Food and the Beers were filled to the RIM of our glasses, so they are impressively presented. BE SURE TO VISIT THIS PLACE!

I love going to Guadalajara in Redding because of the quality of their product as well as their exceptional customer service. The atmosphere is always super warm and welcoming. Their new Red Bluff location has managed to retain the same experience.

The food was fresh and flavorful. BUT I ordered a Mexican Pizza to go! I asked if they fried the “flour tortilla” first. I was told it was put into the to-go pan first, heated in a high “oven” and topped with the toppings I’d ordered. Picked three meals to go up-go up @ $42 or thereabouts for chicken quesadillas, chicken enchilada, rice no beans, no sides! When I began to eat my pizza, the entire tortilla was stuck to the aluminum to go container! Maybe they need to spray oil or dip that tortilla in oil because without a crust, it’s not a pizza!
We just love to go to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. We have never had a bad meal and you cant beat their service. We always feel like family when we are there.

Always my go to Mexico restaurant. Best service and amazing food. They have always made it feel like your family when you come to eat.
We called and ordered what we thought was Pozole. We asked at the time of ordering if it had hominy in it. We were told that yes, it had hominy, which is the corn that is in menudo too. Anyway, the whole order cost over $40 for 3 bowls of Pozole. When we went to pick it up we had to ask for the shredded cabbage. After getting it home, we opened the containers and found that it was not Pozole at all. It was a green colored broth with just a bunch of chicken. No hominy. Anyone knows that pozole has red broth, like menudo, with pork meat and hominy. We were going to go back and complain, but it was close to closing time. We ate the soup, it was okay, nothing to write home about, the green broth wasnt very tasty, but the chicken inside was good. Once we put the cabbage, onion and cilantro in it, it was edible, but it was DEFINITELY NOT POZOLE!! I looked it up online, and pozole isnt even on the menu, but when calling in the order, they said yes, they had pozole, and yes it has hominy in it. Well what we ended up with was green chicken soup. I have heard that this place has very good Mexican food, and I will try going there again, but if this is their idea of Pozole, then I will never order it again. $47 dollars for something we didnt even order. Not good.

One of my favorite Mexican Restaurants to eat ate. Staff is always friendly and nice. Food is always good. Wonderful atmosphere.
The waiter never came around to ask if we needed anything filled or asked where we like to be sitted it was all right food was hoping more from the chicken Tortilla soup than just a breast dropped with corn chips..
Took forever to be seated took forever to get our drinks and guacamole we asked for a couple of times while we listen to a child screaming and hollering and singing running around manager did nothing after those people left we all had a good laugh about it food was mediocre at best Marco did his best seem like he was the only one, this was our second time and final chance for this restaurant sorry we will not be back Carlitos is the place to go

It was some of the worst mexican food I have ever had, starting with the gross salsa served with chips. Go elsewhere. Toilet was broken with excrement on display. Yuck.

2023-06-20 04:16:15We stopped here on the long ride from the coast. First impression was the place was clean. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms spotless.The hostess had us seated in no time and gave us time to decide what to get. The wife ordered a chimichanga while I opted for the pollo Guadalajara.We sat and chatted and before I knew it the food was out and nice and warm. There were no complaints from anyone in the group and the servings were generous.

2023-08-16 23:17:09I liked the tomatillo sauce with the enchiladas. Rice and beans were great. The sour cream salad that came with became wilted and a little unappetizing because the plate was hot as if it was cast into the depths of Mordor.The house salsa that comes with the chips is nothing special. It is literally tomato sauce with raw onion thrown in with cilantro. Which was a shame because the chips were great.

2021-12-13 04:40:04I could give10 stars, I would! This is absolutely the cleanest restaurant that Ive ever been in! Everything including the kitchen and restrooms are spotless!Not to mention the quality of the food, which is outstanding! Its been a couple of months since I last went there, due to traveling, but the owners Carlos and Alba recognized me immediately. This really makes a difference to me, and no doubt to others. Theres a local resident who gets dressed up in his finest just to go there, but other restaurant in Red Bluff! Next time, Ill take some photos.

2023-11-14 14:14:18Guadalajara is my favorite mexican restaurant in the north state. Their Enchiladas Vegetarianas are excellent. I love their tangy green sauce. We like it so much, sometimes we drive from Chico to Red Bluff just to go out for dinner there. Their burritos, fajitas, taco salad--all yummy!

2023-10-03 19:25:58The service here is spotty at best. Servers are not very helpful when it comes to asking for any changes/alternatives if you should need any. Order/arrive early. They do not like to stay past the postted closing time. The food is fine, its normal American Mexican food.

The drinks were great and the food was pretty amazing and freshly cooked, they were very friendly with us and made sure we had a good experience.

PERFECTO.GRACIAS!!!
