It is the typical hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in a tiny strip mall. The cooking is good and tasty. It is owned by a married couple Reuben and Patty.I have been coming here for several years. I especially recommend the soft taco plate and the carne asada version. I also recommend the Steak Milanesa.Beer and wine only and a few wine cocktails.Parking in small lot or nearby street. Or take the Blue Line to the Wardlow Station and walk across Pacific Place to the resto.

My daughter and I went here for dinner on Sunday. It was our first and last visit.The bean dip we ordered was lukewarm. It took 30 minutes to get our food. The rice had no flavor to it, the enchilada sauce tasted like it came out of a can and the “sweet” tea was nothing but bitter water.
This is a small location, but the food is delicious! It reminds me of my mothers restaurant from when she was alive, just much smaller.

Very reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. Not the biggest parking lot in the world. If you can find a spot the food is worth the slight hassle. Service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed.
The food is good, and seasoned well, although the asada will have some gristle pieces that are unedible, so they should use better quality meat in that instance. Ive been going to them consistently since they opened, and the gristle in the asada is my biggest issue. Other than that, slightly overpriced, but portions are decent.
The steak milanesa and shrip plate was good. It was big and it tasted good. Also, the server was friendly and courteous. I didnt give a five stars because they dont have chicken milanesa plate which is what I usually like to eat.
Nice looking place, got a terrible, chewy, funky tasting asada burrito. Didnt ask me what I wanted on it before they started cooking it, said it came with cheese and beans (didnt say what kind). I asked for no cheese, and add cilantro and onions. Asked for salsa when it was done (I got it to go). Found out in the car the salsa was for the to-go chips (very commercial, watered down salsa). Meat tasted chunky. Pretty sure I had two different types of meet in there. That, or they use really fatty cuts that arent flavored well. And with no lime, no salsa. I paid 10 bucks for this, and I cant even finish it. Terrible
Ordered some fish tacos the other day and the plate had beans and rice the deep fried fish was combined with a special sauce and some veggies dish was about 15.00 dollars it was good
Today service came with a side of attitude. When we have ordered there the food took forever and the chile relleno was a disgusting soggy oily sponge. We were going back for the empanadas but 3 for 8 is too much. Especially when the guy is rude.
The food is just ok. The burritos are very refried bean heavy and low on the meat. Quality of the carne asada is not that great either. Definitely could find better quality for less.

My parents enjoy this place very much but we brought my sister and niece from Texas and we were sitting outside and it was very chilly so we decided to change our tables and it seemed like they got a little upset about that after receiving our food there was two pieces of plastic in my food they did offer to give me half off the price of my plate but I decline. I was not happy with my michelada I would definitely not order if youre a michelada fan I do give the two stars for my enchilada it was delicious besides the plastic. My husband had the chile verde burrito and really enjoyed it.
If I could rate this place even lower I definitively would. I have gone to many places in my life but I have never been treated so poorly and inhumanly possible. My experience in this place was terrible to the point were I am thinking of bringing this issue to court for racism and violation of first amendment rights.An employee from this establishment not only did he insult me with unnecessary words but he also threw me out and claimed to call the police on me when I was not doing anything illegal nor was I doing anything against the law. All of this because I was speaking Spanish to him. If I recall correctly and I asked him out of curiosity:-Mind if I ask you a question- No sir go ahead-Why are you keep answering to me in English when I clearly heard you speaking Spanish before and I keep asking you stuff in Spanish?-This is America we dont speak Spanish here.This person has no respect for anyone whatsoever and its a complete ignorant.May I also notice this is not the kind of place that has a sign or a book rule that states: we have the right to deny service to anyone, in fact they did not have one.For anyone that cares to read this I advice you to never go to this place and dont permit people to treat you in such a way.
There are very very nice to us spoke to us when we came in was very attentive to us and the food was delicious I will be there again next time with more people but me and my wife had a lovely lunch

There is a donkey and horse stable along the 710 freeway a few miles north they purchase their meat from. Tastes pretty good considering its made from equine.

2018-07-06 17:04:51Little unknown Mexican restaurant in Long Beach, easily accessible from the metro at Wardlow station.The food is great, the steak was very well seasoned and juicy. If you do not eat pork, just make sure you inform them so they do not drizzle a pork sauce on top of your food.

2022-09-30 15:39:59Im always a little leery about trying new Mexican but Im house sitting and this was in their neighborhood.I am pleased to announce I was pleasantly surprised.It was already after 8 p.m. so I went inside to place my order to go. I was greeted by staff with a smile and they were all extremely friendly.I originally wanted chili Colorado but thats not on their menu. The gal that was serving me asked me what I liked and helped make some suggestions. They do have TWO versions of chili Verde... the original and one with tomatillo sauce. I opted for the original, which is actually more of a red sauce with green chilis in it.It was DELICIOUS! The rice and beans also very good. And I was not disappointed with the side of chips and salsa included in my meal... both tasted very fresh.They also have beer and I believe they make margaritas with agave.Ill definitely go back there when Im in the area again. I would highly suggest you try it too.I also felt the price was very fair, I paid $14 for my meal with taxes included.

2021-09-28 18:18:04The in-laws love this place. so we Called ahead to see if they could accommodate vegetarian. Man on the phone was very helpful and we found some dishes that were suitable. Upon picking up our food we found scraps of meat or non vegetarian ingredients in both orders. Do NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE A STRICT VEGETARIAN!!!! If you eat meat I’m sure it’s a very tasty and affordable restaurant.
