Guads Tacos & Beer in Davis

Guads doesnt disappoint. Its a reliable, Mexican style restaurant near campus that everyone loves. The service is quick and the menu has good variety without being overly expensive. Its best feature is the complimentary chip bar which stays well-stocked even during the rush. It can sometimes be difficult to find seating and Ive noticed the guac quality is spotty.

Visiting Davis for the first time over parents weekend and was elated to find good tacos.I brought my kid and 2 roommates and we crowded around a table and dug in. They all loved it. So happy to find this place.

Perfect place for a quick bite or friendly outing. Amazing breakfast burrito and quesabirra tacos. Service is quick and easy and you get complimentary self-serve chips and salsa that never disappoints. One of my favorite restaurants in Davis.

The place was busy and still the wait was short. The food was delicious. The chips could have been fresher but the salsa was good. The service was excellent as well. Seating was limited inside but we were able to find a shaded spot outside.

Was visiting Davis and asked the guy at the bike shop where the best tacos were and he said “guads” and I couldn’t agree more! I’m from so cal and I think I’m picky. They had every kind of meat you could think of and multiple “styles” of tacos. I had a street taco, a vampira, and a taco dorado. Yum!!! Salsa bar and self serve Jamaica is a bonus. And… the Flan… the best I’ve had… todo estaba delicioso!!!! I

Highly rated place and for good reason. The food is of very good quality for the price, considering the prices in Davis. The service is very fast. They have an unlimited chips and salsa bar which is always an amazing plus. Always a go to!

Came by Guads for a quick lunch.Ordered:-chilaquiles verdes $10.99-super steak burrito $10.99-original cold portland cider $8Chilaquiles was good. Super burrito was a bit small and mushy. Chips and salsa are self serve.Not a fan of their ordering set up. Order first and they will bring the food out to you. If they get a bit busy, the line goes straight out the door, so it causes a huge jam in the entrance.Also, they have indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it hard for the staff to find specific numbers.Parking is also a bit tricky in the area during peak hours.

Best Mexican food in Davis! The tacos are delicious, beer selection is excellent, decor is great. The staff very kindly put on the women’s Olympic marathon broadcast for the entire two and a half hours so we could watch and offered to take our photo when we struggled with taking a selfie 😂 go buy their food and give them a generous tip!

Really good Mexican food. I tried the taco plate and got one hard taco and one soft. Both were tripa. The menu doesn’t state this, but apparently tripa is $1 extra as they charged extra when I viewed my receipt. Only criticism is that the menu should be updated to reflect which meats cost extra. Both tacos were good but the hard one surprisingly is the best. My friend had advised me and she wasn’t wrong!The rice and beans have great flavor, and they also have the chips and salsa bar.

Great tacos: Street, quesabirria, and especially crispy tacos (Chicharrone was awesome!!). Great chips and salsas. Awesome selection of beers on tap, Mexican Coke, and Jarritos. Nice outdoor seating. Love this place! (Eaten here three times now, always great). Cashier could have been a bit more pleasant...
