It was okay, I went for the lunch special with the sweet and sour chicken, it came with an egg roll for about $9.00 the chicken was In smaller pieces, which I liked, but most people like big chunks . The rice should be fried more and have more flavor. I asked for the sauce on the side.

Small, friendly, authentic Chinese restaurant that was very accommodating for gluten free dining. We had a wide variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed it at our table for eight. Prices are quite reasonable for the size and locale. Worth the drive over to find it after a day at the boardwalk.

Hands down our favorite Chinese restaurant in Santa Cruz County. I love the Mongolian beef, and veggie fried rice. They have a great dining space, and the service has always been friendly. Good prices too.

Best General Tsos in Santa Cruz. The Veggie Chow Mein was also very flavorful. Only problem was that I had to literally wait an hour for my food because they were backed up. Given how good the food was though, I dont think that warrants a star removal. Front door lady was very nice.

We ordered the mapo tofu and asked for it to be spicy. The mapo tofu was probably the best Ive ever had, but it wasnt very spicy. They offered to take it back and make it spicier. The service was very good. I would definitely eat here again

The food was amazing and the service was lovely and attentive. All their food options go above expectations and will have you coming back for more. They have generous portions for the price and one plate is more than enough to fill you up. Never have I been so pleasantly surprised by a little shop as I was when I ate here. I highly recommend trying this place out wether with friends, family, or by yourself.

I gave up on Chinese food a while ago. I tried this place and was brought back to everything I love. The food is great and the portions are huge. I didnt see anyone in the restaurant finish a meal. Great value if you enjoy leftovers.I wish this restaurant and their staff much luck and prosperity.

Best service! Good food! Good prices! Friendly staff! Would very highly recommend! They deserve more than five stars. My family and I feel very welcomed every time we come here and the food is very delicious. Definitely best in Santa Cruz county. My father has been coming for a while during his lunch breaks and with my mother for dinner. He recommended Guang Zho to us and we fell in love with the staff,owners and food. We will continue to recommend Guang Zho to everyone we know.

Edit: 3 years later and I tried it again. No complaints! There was just one woman working the front end all by herself but doing an awesome job. She was really nice and welcoming.No stomach problems to speak of! Very affordable compared to other places, and they have generous portions. I loved how they cooked the veggies, Al dente!!! Had the broccoli beef which was tasty, fried rice was quite good, Kung Pao chicken was really good but couldve been spicier and had a surprising vamount of zuchini in it.... But I enjoyed the extra veggies! Id go back for sure.Original review:Cheap eats. I got food poisoning! Tasted good before that happened. I’m not 100% sure it was from them as my companion didn’t get sick. I won’t be going back though.

Look maybe it doesnt look the best inside, and maybe the waitress cannot speak the best of English. I dont care about any of that as long as the food is good and the service and they have them is. Ive known the owners and its a family affair in here with all of them doing what they love everyday and it shows in their food. I honestly cannot eat Chinese food anywhere else without thinking of here. Ignoring the other negative reviews theyre the kind of people who want everything their way and perfect and will find any excuse to complain.

We got kung po chicken, and potstickers. Kung po chicken was good, right amount of spiciness, seemed fresh and hot. Potstickers were also pretty good, nice filling, the outside was pretty thick, but good. Reasonable price, pretty good service.Overall, solid Chinese local eatery.

I am from out of the area and have had a heck of a time finding good Chinese food. Eureka! My girlfriend and I got orders of Hot and Spicy Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Pork. The spice was actually spicy. Non of the meat was chewy and they both had that crunchy glaze on the outside that we love. Love it!!! Going back as soon as possible.

By far the best place in town for Chinese food. Generous portions, made fresh, and cheap to boot. The dining room feels a little run down, but I always get take out anyway so it doesnt bother me. Try the cream cheese fried wontons and the sweet and sour pork!

Greasy. Overcooked. Sugary. This is what good Chinese food should not be. From a nutritional standpoint, our dinner was a disaster: high fat, high sugar, cooked to death. Ive had many excellent Chinese dinners, and this ranks toward the bottom. Pleasant enough service, but Ill never go back. Two steps below Panda Express when the food has been sitting too long.

Good food, bad environment, but I always got takeout anyhow. Lunch specials make it a lot less expensive. The orange chicken is very good here, and kung pao and general tsao chickens are good as well. Its a little disappointing that they dont deliver. I used to live down the street, and ate here a lot, but havent in a while.

Growing up in Santa Cruz we used to go to King Chwan restaurant for special occasions. Ever since King Chwan closed Ive struggled to find a single Chinese restaurant that I loved.After trying out multiple places in town over a span of several years I found Guang Zho. Even though its on the opposite side of town its my go to place for Chinese food.
