You know the food was great I had the all plant based torta from el pastor style, with vegan mayo, I loved it, the only thing what my mom ordered Was a shrimp taco for $4.+... They gave her a really small tortilla with 2 tiny shrimps we should of took pictures, oh n plus apparently they charge a dollar extra for each plate that has meat in the order, idk what thats about so of the menu says $2.99 expect to pay $1.00 on top of that. But other than that I thought it was great.
One of the best places for vegan food in town! Many don’t associate them with vegan, but half their menu is vegan. Sad to see it close.
Amazing vegan menu with multiple vegan meat selections. The vegan asada and al pastor are fantastic! They are helpful with ordering if you have questions. Casual inside dining with awesome wall paintings. A few tables outside on the sidewalk too.
Stopped in for lunch with my wife and asked if they had fish tacos (even though they’re not on the menu) and they did. I was expecting the fried version with small filets. Was pleasantly surprised with the grilled fish tacos. They were pretty much perfectly grilled with a crisp not crunchy outer and firm not mushy texture. Will definitely be ordering those again.
Worst mexican food in Bakersfield I went in and ordered 3 Carne asada tacos To go. The tacos were cold, the tortillas were not even cooked, the meat was salty and hard and it looked old it also looked like it was cooked like 75 times on the microwave. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I gave the tacos to my dogs and they hardly wanted to eat them and they got sick.
Employees are super rude, I paid almost $14 dollars for a super dry burrito, i asked for no salsa and even paid extra for the guacamole. Salsa was added into the burrito and no guac was ever given to me. once i called they stated that it was impossible for salsa to be on it but yet you can see it right there. also ordered a bowl and the beans weren’t cooked throughly they were a bit dry and hardened. definitely do not recommend this place. their agua gas frescas aren’t fresh either and taste like sink water

Ordered the pb surf and turf, there was a mix up and I got real meat and shrimp. I called and they immediately apologized and gave me a replacement. I highly recommend these guys even with the slight mix up. Amazing customer service, and even better plant based options. Will definitely be going back

Ordering through apps is SUPER risky and you will not get a refund if they mess your order up. Even if you call them :/ dont do it. Really well done. The vegan proteins arent anything special, but they dont need to be. The flavors and colors around them are fantastic.
Close to work so I wanted to give them a try. Had the surf and turf burrito and overall it was good and worth a return visit. In both the tacos and burrito the shrimp were the weak link, they did not have a ton of flavor. The green salsa was a great accompaniment and with lime really brought the flavor to the next level.
Tacos 🌮 were ok 👌 but I had better the same day. Cashier lady tried to charge me 75 cents because I got the wrong sauce?! But that dang taco truck within the same lot is a hidden gem. Those ladies we’re cooking it up! The food at L. Otroyollo tastes so authentic! I had cheese tamales and chicken tacos n they were delicious! Sorry no pics 😏it’s bcuz I ate so fast I forgot to?! Wish I’d seen all those bad customer service reviews at guano b4 visiting.

Very nice customer service, polite and friendly. I like that when you walk in they have a large sign distinguishing the plant based menu and the regular menu ! Very clear and simple. I ordered 2 quesadillas thinking they were small but to my surprise they were big! So I got to save one for tomorrow! I also loved the cute illustrations on the walls. I love it and would visit again:)
Stopped her for lunch on a road trip because my daughter is a vegetarian, and they have a robust veggie/vegan menu. The rest of family enjoyed their different meat options. Delicious food, good prices, great service.

I have used their coupon from Vons and loved the tacos. The entire meal was $5 and well worth every penny. The first two times, the meat was too well done, so I now ask for them to not cook it too long, and the tacos are delicious. The men are friendly, and that makes for a nice lunch. Dont miss this when around White Lane, or make a special trip just to taste authentic Mexican food.
The previous reviews of this place most definitely served us well. My friend got a plant based taco with azada and chik’n and loved every bite. The elote was superb, ask for the spicy seasoning!However, the star of the show was there Birria Burrito. The best burrito I have ever had. This place is the real deal and the guy in the misfits shirt was very nice.Side note: the wait was about 15/20 minutes but because they make everything g together with each order. Our food was fresh and hot.
Good for a quick bite. Not the best but not the worst. If you like guacamole heres my advice, you better be ready to watch it get squeezed out of a ketchup bottle 😅.

This place is fire! Ordered the plant-based nachos with soyrizo. It was a heaping portion with plenty of toppings. Layered so that every chip got some goodness. Everything was cooked to perfection. Flavors were excellent, pico was the perfect consistency and ideal amount of spice. The cheese sauce could have fooled any dairy lover. Our group was quite large but the food was prepared quickly and with care. Would absolutely eat here again.
The food and prices were good, but the woman working the counter was rude and only offered very short answers to questions about the menu. Also the water tasted like it had some sort of lime cleaner in it. Would probably only go back if it was the only option despite the delicious food. What a bummer…

Great place for vegan food, even if youre not vegan! They have a separate menu for plant based lovers and one for a less discriminating palates. Just kidding; seriously the food is great, and the staff is very friendly and patient with new comers. We heard so many good things about Guapos that we had to see for ourselves. Happy to report that its all true. Try the meatless shrimp tacos, you wont believe its not real shrimp! We got a chicken burrito for our carnivore at home; he wouldnt take a breath to tell us the burrito was good until it was gone. LOL 🤣
Found a piece of metal in my food. The issue is not that it happend, stuff happens. My issue is how it was handled. The woman that made it could care less and didnt even say a word. Went next door and got a burger. You might want to do the same.Signed,Mytoothhurts

The food was great, i got the Cali Burrito and some fries and i cant complain! The guacamole side is quite small for the price though, all in all though the 4.5 star review of Guapos Tacos makes sense. Definetly give the place a try if youre in the area!
Best vegan Mexican food Ive ever had. Tons of vegan options loaded with all the goodies including cheese and sour cream. Those grilled tortillas! Yum! Super fast service even during COVID times
I love this place! I usually order an Asada bowl but make it a chicken bowl sometimes to change it up a bit. Food is made to order so it’s always hot. Beware of their hot sauce though. When they say it’s “Hot” they ain’t messing around. I usually have to mix it with the mild to balance the heat. But if you can handle the hot straight up, then I tip my hat off to you.
The older Spanish woman that works at the counter early in the day gets my order wrong every time. She gave me actual steak meat when my health causes me to only be able to eat plant based meals. I’m highly disappointed in this establishment being as though I’m very specific when I order here and never leave satisfied unless it’s after 5pm.
Never thought vegan Mexican food could be this good. The carne asada is great. Nachos were excellent by any standard, whether you eat plant-based or not.
We went to check this place out because I have been placed on a no meat & dairy free diet for my pregnancy. Their vegan options was amazing. I got a burrito and it was so good. Nice to know there is a nice place in town for mexican vegan food options. My husband enjoyed it as well and he is a meat eater and got a Soyrizo california burrito. He couldnt even finish it because it was so big. Friendly staff and amazing food.

First-time visitor and I wasnt impressed. The staff made sure I didnt feel welcomed, almost as if they were annoyed I was even there to order food. It felt as if they would rather be on unemployment sitting at home playing video games. Lastly, the food was nothing special. Just a standard taco shop with subpar service.

If your looking for street tacos these are not for you. The asada is dry and burnt. Salsa is not good or spicy it’s water down. Who ever took my order looked high af. My order was not complete when I got home. MESS!

For them to be an extension of shake n buns, they really are sub-par. Nothing is ever consistent. Fries are either cold or fried hard and greasy. Or the chicken bowl has 5 beans and missing rice or very little meat.
We visit Guapos Tacos very often for their vegan options. Vegan Cali Burrito is a must have! Dont forget to order a side of Jalapeño asado for the nice kick to it.

The place is small, cozy and has cute paintings including the most adorable avocado painting!🥑 Also, they have a very entertaining slideshow of food! Their logo reminds me of Nacho Libre, starring Jack Black. 😁 The menu is split in two. On the left, is the menu for people who consume meat, on the right, it is the exact same version of the left, but they are veganized! 🙌🏼🌱 This is definitely a place worth checking out whether you are a vegan, vegetarian or a meat- eater, plus you love Mexican food. 👍🏼🇲🇽

Friendly staff, food can be hit or miss. Some days its great other days its so-so, no bad experiences so far. Their nachos are very filling if you arent feeling a burrito.

The food here is so good. I stay getting the grilled chicken quesadilla. It can be a bit oily but I just use a napkin to kinda wipe the tortilla haha also I get the asada tacos and their salsa verde! 👌🏻

I mean it was soooo good we bought another 2 for the next day! Ive had many vegan shrimps but the ones they use are huge and great texture. I want to know which distributor they use! Lol. Everything was so well made and it was Devine! Highly recommend this place! I wish they had one in LA! I forgot to take a before pic because it was that damn good! 🤤

Everything was good. I really enjoyed the music, too! The place is clean and cute. I noticed plant based options as well.Good service and delicious food! Totally recommend.

The taco was really delicious and so was the quesadilla. The fries were average. The sauce accompaniment ( salsa verde and salsa roja) were really delicious. Overall the experience was really pleasant
