2023-01-25 01:57:52Gulzaar is a Halal restaurant and has been consistent in terms of the taste. I have been coming to this place for a long time. Even though they had an ownership and management changed, but taste has been consistent. Their Chicken samosas are the best on the menu. Their sandwiches and biryanis are good as well. You can ask them to make it spicy as well. They do have dine in space and restaurant over all is very clean. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for Halal food.

2023-09-03 00:57:12HORRIBLE VALUE - this place charged me 14 dollars each for a chicken tikka and beef kabob and all I got were a 6 flimsy pieces of meat. Paid $16 for another dish and it was served in a small soup container you find at grocery stores. I just wanted to get dinner for my family, ended up paying more than $50 and I literally have to go somewhere else to get more food for everyone. Atrocious pricing, I have never witnessed with my own eyes a place with worse value.

2023-11-08 21:37:06This restaurant deserves all the praise and a high rating in terms of hygiene, quality and taste of food. Chicken Tikka Biryani is the best and along with their hot sauce, it satisfies all my food cravings. The owner is really friendly, have been ordering food from here for last 5 years and would continue to do so in the future.

2023-11-08 21:47:49If you are looking for a five star restaurant style Afghani/Middle eastern food for a decent price then Gulzaar Halal is the place!I have been dining here for almost a decade and they never failed on their quality. They stay true to their authenticity and deliver it every time and every day. I am surprised to see negative reviews recently either with the portion or quality. Let me say this, I have had food from pretty much all the Afghani food places but never gotten this taste anywhere else!I give FIVE stars. Please ignore negative reviews as it might be just a human error but this should never lead to miss out on GREAT food!

2021-08-15 19:33:35It is one of good restaurant we have visited recently. They serve fusion food, you will find kababs along with Basmati (plain white rice) and Biryani rice. The biryani is not traditional biryani but taste is good. We have order Fatoush, Zatir and Jabneh Manakesh, chapli kabab, chicken kabab and mince meat kabab. They all were good, I have taken some of my freinds as well who have not tasted this food before, they were happy and have enjoyed the food. The Fatoush was fresh, Zatar and Jabneh was the pick of food. The meat was cooked well and they owner is gracious enough to provide us extra yogurt (raita) and curry sauce to make it spicy. We have eaten food with some biryani rice and afghan Naan. Afghan Naan was cooked perfectly although the portion could have been bigger. Other day we have tried kabab with biryani rice and chicken Tikka masla, biryani rice portion and kabab was good and delicious. Chicken tikka masla was good for someone who has not eaten it before but for people from India and Pakistan it lacks the spices and traditional curry base. My friend who ordered this was happy with it. The owner was very humble and very gracious. He has recognized us on our next trip and was available on hand to explain dishes to my friends and suggest them the level of spice they should try. They also have Kabuli pilao available although we did not try it. It is good place for both lunch and dinner, they serve halal food.

2023-09-26 22:33:51Expensive but worth it. In my humble opinion they serve the best Kabuli pulao in the bay area. The price of the food is expensive and you will be charged 3.5% more if you pay using credit or debit card.
