Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Burbank

Great place where you grill your own food.The place has great service and the food was very tasty. You get a lot for what youre paying for.I had the value course for 2 people plus the spicy shrimps on the side.It was plenty of food for two people! Both of us could barely walk out of there.

Group of us stopped at Gyu-Kaku Japanese barbecue and we had an amazing experience. We all loved the barbecue meats as well as the different sakes. We got the house warm and a sparkling which were phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend checking out Gyu-Kaku if youve never been I would love to come back.

Gyu-Kaku is one of my favorite places to eat while at the Burbank mall. The staff is always friendly and the service is always fast and efficient. The last few times that we were here we did the all you can eat, which is a great value in the staff to make sure that they are constantly checking in on you and that you are well said highly recommend the addicting cucumbers, as they are one of our favorites.

Really liked this place until I called and was disrespected by the kid who answered the phone. So I asked to speak with a manager since he seemed not to listen . He was still rude and hung up on me. I called back and then I can hear him telling the manager I asked for a reservation (which I didn’t ) and he kept telling me they don’t take them.I proceeded to let the manager know that I realize that they do not take reservations and I respect that. I said but I was going to be bringing in a party of 14 this evening. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and understand that knowing that ahead of time could help. She said the restaurant only has 18 tables. I reassured her we had no problems sitting at multiple tables. She said you can call the downtown Los Angeles location and go there. I explained that that was not a feasible option for our scenario. She proceeded to tell me That they cannot accommodate 14 people even if we are separating into different tables and that I should not come in. No worries girl we will never come back in. Who runs a business like this? Why would you turn away 14 customers ??? And here is an added bonus. I know someone who works there as a server and she said they do this on a regular basis with no problem. Gets worse. So I share the experience with my friend who is the server. She said to call and ask for either Elijah or jim who are the real managers. I call back. The same kid who answered the phone asked me four times why I needed to speak with the manager that I specifically asked for and I asked him kindly to please just put one of the gentleman on the phone. So then he’s having an open conversation with the woman who told me not to come in while I’m on the phone and I can hear the entire conversation. telling Him unless I give a reason not to put me on the phone with the manager

I really enjoy my time whenever I step into this restaurant. Ive been going here for several months now. The servers are absolutely amazing. The quality of the meat is superior to any other BBQ places. They will actually allow you to choose the level of marinate you wish for your meat, not like other places that drench the heck out of your meat. I only had one bad experience the last time I was there last week. The male hostess with long hair was kind of rude. There was plenty of space available on the bigger table, and I have never had an issue being seated on bigger tables. He was refusing to seat us there because we were only 2 people. I dont spend more than 30 minutes max. When I go here, I sit, eat, and done. I had to ask for a manager, which she told him to let us sit on bigger table. Besides this little hick up, Gyu-Kaku is pretty awesome. They dont take reservations, so make sure to plan ahead if going with a big group. Once the grilling starts, you dont get heavy smoke like most other places. The ventilation is amazing. I highly recommend you visit with them.

Very good place to have some delicious japanese style BBQ. This location is small, so if you have a big party, be prepared to wait to be seated.Staff is always on hand to take orders or replace the grills. They have a lot of choices of meats and vegetables even if you pick the base. Meats are deliciously marinated and they do have good sauces and delicious desserts.Out of respect please DO NOT stick your chopsticks in your rice bowls. TY

If you want a great and easy JBBQ experience, look no further. Gyu-Kaku is a awesome place to get great quality meat and flavor! Imported Japanese beeru as well😉

This place is so good. The meat quality is really good. We tried the basic all you can eat. Now this place is on the pricey side compared to korean ayces but its a different experience. They do have more affordable meals which is great.My favorite was the toro beef and new York steak. However, everything was good.I highly recommend this place.
