2023-10-26 17:28:33Our recent friends dinner at Gyu-Kaku provided an exceptional Japanese BBQ experience. The outstanding service we received, starting with our attentive waitress and her seamless handover to another server during her break, set a positive tone for the evening. We explored the dinner menu, which offered a wide range of tantalizing meats that we grilled ourselves. The restaurants environment added to the overall positive experience. Gyu-Kaku featured a cozy and inviting atmosphere with well-spaced tables, providing an intimate setting for our family dinner. The tabletop grills, where we personally grilled the meats to perfection, added an interactive and fun dimension to the evening. The warm, dimmed lighting created a pleasant ambiance that made us feel relaxed and comfortable.

2023-11-29 04:12:53Usually love this chain. But this location disappointed. Waited for food for an hour. Waiter asked if we wanted more food after not realizing we hadn’t been served our order. Waiter requested our order again. They must have rushed the plates out because the dishes were uncommonly tasteless. Waited for the check for thirty more minutes. Had to go to the register to request being checked out. Still wasn’t helped. Requested manager. Never arrived. Sat patiently and waited (my partner had pulled the car up at this point) then the check came and I asked would there be any gesture of kindness for the experience. The response “for what”? I waited some more to speak to manager, never addressed me, never appeared. Signed the check, cut the losses and left. Don’t hold your breath here.

2023-11-28 05:34:38Food was good (not great for the price point), but the service and experience was terrible. We were approached by several waiters throughout the evening asking if our order was taken. We had to explain to multiple waiters throughout the meal that we had already ordered.Despite ordering one of the meals, several items did not arrive, and we had to flag down the staff to take them off of our receipt. Staff made us count our own plates and items, because they were uncertain what they had already brought to us.When we attempted to get a response about our experience from corporate, it not only took quite some time (on the scale of months), but their response was incredibly dismissive. Will not be coming back with other great options in the area.

2023-01-22 01:40:31The Combo was just suitable for us. Sliced beef tasted tender, juicy and pickled. The seasoning is neither salty nor light. Sauces were fantastic! I even use them to mixed with rice

2023-02-14 16:43:35Just as a general idea, you pay for premium meat cuts so that you can cook it the way you want it. Plenty of options for AYCE and for some items its limited to 1 plate per person. The appetizers are delicious and the garlic noodles would be a necessary carb to go with all the meat consumed. When cooking, make sure to be mindful as it isnt like kbbq and your meat will char faster on this grill.

2023-11-17 15:32:50Food is pretty good. Hard to complain when youncook it yourself. If its burnt, its your own fault, so cant blame the kitchen there. The Huntington Beach location, I feel, is higher quality for some reason. Our server was a little lost. Had to ask for the same things several times. Forgot to light our grill so when we got our food, grill was still cold.
