Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Huntington Beach

Definitely one of the most delicious bbqs Ive had in quite a very long time. Due to COVID all you can eat was not available so we went with a 4-person course meal (we were on 3 people), and man each and every one of us were in our happy place!Great food, very friendly and accommodating staff, I highly recommend you check this place out, especially if youve never had Japanese BBQ before!

This is a Japanese BBQ place and has great service. They have lots of options for vegetarians. The quality of the meats are always good. The salad also is very delicious. They have lots of seafood options as well. A great bar too. They also have a kids menu. I will say the reason this place doesnt get 5 stars is because the menus are so confusing. They handed is like 3 menus and when I asked about a special she told me one thing but after further investigation I found out that Mondays are happy hour? Its very confusing.

Always a great experience here. Joe is a great server. He is always attentive and professional. The food is excellent. I miss dining inside but they have patio dining during the pandemic. Unfortunately, they only have 3 tables outside. Arrive early. Its totally worth it.Update: There is inside dining again. Food is still great. Service is still wonderful.

So much better than the Cerritos location. We got the all you can eat, which Cerritos won’t offer, and Huntington Beach is open for lunch. Which again, Cerritos won’t offer. My new favorite location is Huntington Beach!!!! We WILL be back. Won’t spend another dime in Cerritos!!! And lastly, the staff at Huntington Beach, much friendlier. Huge plus !!!

I order side dish as fried chicken are black, I think they use very old oil, didnt change everyday. And the service didnt clean the table.

Great customer service. They open for dine-in in the front of the restaurant (3 tables only) so you might need to reserve first. The wait is not too long if the party is under 4. I like the ninja combo. Great meat quality, but if you like side dish like me then this restaurant does not have as many as Manpuku Costa Mesa or Kang Ho Dong Baek Jeong. Overall, a great place for Japanese BBQ, but not the best one.

We used to like it here. One of our sauce trays was wet and we needed to get a new pair of tongs because there was some dried meat stuck on the inside. When we asked for a new pair of tongs, our waitress seemed annoyed and didnt say sorry about that or anything and just dropped the replacement tongs on the table without a word. Asking for a cup of water seemed to annoy her too. Weve had great experiences here in the past, but unclean utensils and the bad attitude combined made me never want to come back.

Came for happy hour and it was great. We did the happy hour set and ordered a hot sake with two beers all for $80. We left feeling full but not stuffed which was perfect. Servers were attentive. We will definitely be back to try their other sets

Horrible experience. Had a reservation for 8 for a special occasion and it took them well over 30 minutes to seat us. 2 people lingered at a table for 10 and instead of asking the couple to move, they allowed our party to wait and wait. No apology from the staff. We will not be returning.

This place is a really fun date night restaurant! Its more interactive and is fun to cook in the middle of your own table. My husband and I used to go here at least 3-4 times a month when we lived in Hawaii so we were excited to find out there was one somewhat close to San Clemente. The servers are really nice and very helpful if you have never been there before. The cuts of meat are really good and their drinks are good as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant!! 🙂🙂🙂
