2023-11-20 00:29:09It was a Friday lunch time when we decided to go here. My friend knows I love beef and hence this restaurant. We were seated as soon as we reached there. We were given the menu and checked if this is our first time and need any help. My friend has been here so we were good. The courtesy to make sure was very helpful. We ordered different parts of the beef and I was eating the tongue for the first time. We cooked and one dish that Japanese BBQ where the meat is marinated and cooked and the servers bring it to your table and mix it in front of you. They have different sauces, sweet, spicy and sweet and sour. These sauces you can choose to dip your cooked BBQ meat and enjoy it. I felt the entire process was very therapeutic. The server was really helpful in making sure that we enjoyed every bit of it. If you love beef then this is the place as its all beef. You have to choose what you want to eat. I definitely would like to go here with my family. So please do try it out. The ambience is cool as any Japanese BBQ place with a stove/oven on your table. If you dont want to cook then you can order from the menu which is already cooked. Enjoy!

2023-09-05 18:12:39This was an amazing dinner! You get to choose what you want to eat. We chose the Wagyu Courses. The amount of food they give may seem like its not enough, but it will be. Youll leave satisfied and full. It was our first time trying this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. We are definitely coming back!

2023-10-28 23:05:21Ive had two experiences where, despite having reservations for indoor seating at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Cupertino, we ended up outside. Both times, we were assured of an indoor table over the phone but were informed upon arrival that none were available. In one instance, we waited an extra 40 minutes, only to be seated outside while noticing underutilized larger tables inside. This initial service hiccup, along with no menus, insufficient dishware, and no apologies for the mix-up, was disappointing. The cold evening was uncomfortable for my mom, and the meat servings seemed smaller. The visible strain on the lone waitress managing six tables outside, without any help from the management, didnt help matters. Their struggle was evident, and it was clear that managements support was needed. Overall, this visit ranks a 3 out of 5 – a significant need for improvement is clear.

2023-08-07 03:20:52I went here first time and it was a good experience. The quality and taste of meats were amazing. Good service. We ordered 4 people’s combo and it was worth.

2023-08-27 04:42:03We were a party of two visited during weekend lunch time, and ordered Meat lover set, with a price of $90. Though the pictures posted here aren’t not fully capturing the provided dishes, but in general the price is way too high for the provided dishes, meat is not provided as in a plenty of portion, definitely no. Even the taste of the BBQ-ed meat was okay, those were WAY TOO OVERPRICED.We as a same party of two visited Gyu Kaku in Denver Downtown 4 years ago, and we believed that 4 years ago the price for the same Meat lovers set was less and the meat portion was bigger by a lot. If to considering the inflation rate through these years, the price today is still too high to accept it.One good note was that, the s’more dessert is yummy still. The service was okay, they changed the BBQ plate 0 time, refilled water 0 time.In general, if it were a few years ago I would recommend coming in and enjoying the BBQ. But now, no recommendations for at least this site in Cupertino. No

2023-04-08 14:19:40SO so good. My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner on a whim and got the Meat Lovers combo for 2 - AMAZING! It was such a fun experience and all the food was delicious. Our server was also very attentive (but not overly so) and friendly. We’re not from the area but if we’re ever back here, we will definitely be coming back! 10/10 🙌🏻

2023-04-09 04:17:23This location is prime. Service, ambiance, and meat quality are always on point. They have a spring menu right now. Go checkout their Spring Menu contest on their IG page @gyukakujbbq. The fire was getting crazy while the wagyu was cooking. The A5 Wagyu Chuck Set includes Sukiyaki Bibimbap and it was well worth the price.I highly recommend the harami in secret pot and spicy tuna volcano too. The high quality meats, with tasty sauce, and good service will keep me coming back. The rewards on the Gyu Kaku app is an added bonus and you rack up points quickly. They also have Japanese beers on draft. Parking is easy too.

2022-03-28 09:03:16Came here several times throughout the years. Always had a pretty good experience. I like their beef cuts the most (eg short rib, filet mignon, skirt steak). Service is pretty good, meat also tastes pretty good especially with rice. Their sukiyaki hot stone bowl rice is good too. I like it when the rice gets crunchy on the sides of the bowl.
