2023-10-29 17:23:25October 2023:Celebrated two birthdays here and had two large tables.First time here for me. My family has tried this place before and recommended it.We ordered a set menu and started with appetizers, soup, a pork mushroom dish, bok choy with mushrooms and abalone, chicken with ginger and green onions, whole steamed fish, lobster, and fried rice 🍚.Every dish was very tasty. I would come back again for more excellent Chinese food.

2023-11-26 23:36:18Im a wedding content creator & wedding coordinator @girlypopbride and worked a canto wedding at H.L. This is a very nice and new restaurant that is perfect for a wedding banquet. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. The layout was not crowded (main dining area was rented out) and there was a lot of room for multiple photo ops (carriage, Photobooth, boba bar, front entrance photo backdrop!). There are a few enclosed private dining rooms that were available for regular diners. The service is also really really good, and I was pleasantly surprised. The managers and staff were very helpful and professional with the set up. The place doesnt look like a restaurant once it gets decorated!!

2023-08-14 07:51:55I guess this is as good as it gets in San Francisco. No prior bookings so waited about 30mins for a table on a Sunday. Which is considered fast. A very big and popular Chinese restaurant that can sit up 4xx paxs. Most of the staff spoke Cantonese and they were fast and attentive. Dim Sum is our family’s favourite. The dishes that we like from this restaurant is the tangerine salty egg yolk lava boa, sauteed turnip cake in XO sauce and the shrimp rice noodle rolls. Mango pomelo sago dessert was good but could be better if more mangoes were blended into the soup.Golden egg fried rice and har kow/ prawn dumplings were a bit bland, supreme soy low mein w/shallot noodle texture were a bit chewy. Pork to fu skin was mediocre. Pork and crab roe dumplings were huge but the pork smell too strong for my liking. Chrysanthemum tea had chlorine smell so got the staff to change the water but the smell was still there. She offered to change to plain boiled water but we declined. Chinese broccoli were blanched and served with a dipping of oyster sauce. Perhaps stir frying them with some fresh garlic and oyster sauce will make the dish taste better.Might go again to try the other dishes when we are visiting San Francisco.

2023-04-15 00:48:23On a Friday at 11:30am, we were able to get a table for 10 without waiting. Their dim sum menu is extensive. At the same time, it is confusing with so many choices. This is coming from a native Cantonese dim sum connoisseur. We ended up asking a waitress to help us order instead of filling out the dim sum brochure. The food come out quickly. There werent anything spectacular and mostly decent. The shrimp dumplings were tasteless. The salt and pepper crab was on the small side compared to PPQs. I did enjoy the spacious seating and low noise level. Service was excellent.

2023-06-06 21:27:07Was here for lunch but customer Service is bad, and still impose 15% service charge on me, and the food wasn’t the best, more like reheat from already cooked dim sum… I used to like coming here but not anymore. And it’s illegal to impose service charge on customers, we can report or file complaint yo NCH or CCPA. If the service is attentive and excellent then I don’t mind paying 15-20% tips/service charge. But I was very disappointed.

2023-09-14 05:50:09First of all, the place is just lovely. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and its perfect for any occasion. I was there for a wedding, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. They really know how to set the mood! Dim sum and Chinese dishes are their specialty, and they do it exceptionally well. If you need some privacy, they have many private rooms with a big family table. Its great for special gatherings or events. I love that they cater to different needs and make sure everyone has a comfortable experience.

2022-10-29 16:30:39Good Chinese restaurant with a lot of different options to choose from. It’s on the pricy side (~$20+ per dish). We really enjoyed the fried rice with the egg yolk, the house special crispy pork, and the pea shoots. The flavours were very well done.My one complaint is the pork stomach and chicken in the soup were not cooked well. The chicken was not tender while the pig stomach was very hard to chew. The pieces of the stomach was also too big. However the soup flavor was good.

2022-06-21 06:15:45Overall, we had a better experience here than the one in Milpitas. Its probably the best Cantonese place we have tried in the US so far, very legit. The portions of every item we ordered were good for 4-5 adults. And we were 100% full and satisfied after the meal.

2023-09-04 19:32:53This location is better than the one near San Mateo and more parking spaces. The dim sum is pretty authentic and unique where you wouldnt see them at other places. They have the basic dim sum down but you should definitely try something that are less traditional here. Expect long wait but service is good and the restaurant is clean.
