2023-08-27 22:50:46First time at this place and it was very good. My friend and I ordered the highly recommended veggie combo platter for two. It was very large so we werent able to eat all of it (second pic is how we left it) so Id say this could even feed three semi hungry people. My favorite part of the platter was the potato cabbage carrots. The lentils were good, but were a little too salty for my liking, but it didnt take away anything from the overall meal. We ordered the lentil sambusas as well which were very good, but the platter couldve filled us up itself just fine. Our waitress was VERY kind, so nice. She was so warm and welcoming, and I just felt so comforted and cared for. I would come here again to try more of their menu and the great service.

2023-11-05 03:27:34The Doro Wat is simply the best! I keep coming back for that and because the owners are so nice. Kitfo is my 2nd favorite 🤤Great hospitality. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. I’m trying other dishes too. The meat combo is in the pic 😊.

2023-03-14 19:40:49Good Ethiopian food options in Fremont. It has got about 20 seating place. It’s next to panda bear .For Vegetarian combo they stopped giving salad. They need to update the photos or should include salad as customers are expecting for the price they are paying.Food was little blend… needs to add more salt spice.Very helpful staff.

2023-03-02 07:10:11Tasty food, good service, clean place! The food was very basic, a bit sour but homely. For veggie platter we got Red lentils, chicken stew and potato with mix veggies- all were delicious. Injera (the dosa) was soft and light. Doro Wot has subtle spicy flavour. The owner was very humble and welcoming. It’s a great place for clean and healthy meals.

2023-11-03 17:52:09Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at a local Ethiopian restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Having tried Ethiopian food in the past, I can confidently say that this restaurant tops them all. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from my place, I decided to give it a shot, and Im absolutely thrilled that I did.I started with the Ethiopian spiced tea, which was a flavorful and aromatic way to begin the meal. The unique blend of spices in the tea was a tantalizing introduction to the culinary journey that awaited. For my main course, I indulged in a feast of flavors. The greens, mushroom tibs, and fish dishes were nothing short of amazing. The greens were perfectly seasoned, the mushroom tibs were a savory delight, and the fish was cooked to perfection. Each dish had its own distinct character, and they all left my taste buds in awe. However, what truly made the dining experience exceptional was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the husband and wife owners. Their genuine friendliness and passion for their cuisine and culture were palpable. They not only served mouthwatering food but also made me feel like a guest in their home. Its a rare and heartwarming experience to dine in a place where you feel so comfortable and embraced.I left the restaurant with a contented belly and a strong desire to return. This Ethiopian restaurant has captured my heart and my taste buds. If youre in the area and appreciate authentic, delicious Ethiopian cuisine served with a side of hospitality, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I, for one, will be back soon without a doubt.

2020-01-16 18:38:22We had been waiting for an Ethiopian place to open in Fremont. We enjoyed the veggie combo platter with pretty standard sides. It was fresh and full of expected flavors. I must also say, very pleased with the service. The couple (assuming its family run) took care of us well that size of the place didnt matter. This place also have to-go on the menu which is great! Will definitely visit more, cant wait to try their to-go. A must try!! Good luck!

2023-11-04 02:15:58Great place. Got a lamb, lentil, and split peas platter and was delicious. Served in a traditional manner but utensils are provided if wanted. Vegan options are also available.
