This is just a review based on my stay at this hotel. First of all I try to stay couple of times in the same hotel before I review them to make sure I do a fair review. One of the reason I keep coming back to this hotel is due to how comfortable is. The rooms are medium sized but big enough to have a family of four,2 adults 2 kids. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is a good size but the door does not lock so communication is key. It is quiet even though it is close tot eh freeway. Where this hotel shines the most is how friendly their staff is. The location is great close to anywhere you. May want to go, Santa Cruz is just 30 mi away. Monterrey is about the same time, Capitola is close si no problem there. One thing I should point out and I do please want to ask sure it is clear, I don’t think the hotel is at fault here but the cell phone service is bad. I had to walk around the room to get reception since I had literally no reception. I have ATT as service provider so I am not sure if you guys have stayed here and had a different experience. I am Being honest, the only thing that drove me crazy was looking for reception. I truly believe you will enjoy your stay. As for me, I will see you around!
The housekeeping they were very sweet, kind people Daniel was one that I met. You had a beautiful spirit, the front desk lady the manager, awesome the front desk ladies very polite, fast responding. I enjoyed my stay 54 days and still going. The breakfast in the morning is really delicious. Thank you for my stay.
Likely to be the best local hotel option if you are staying in the Watsonville area. Clean, new, and updated looking interiors. Good Breakfast bar, comfortable bed and room. Ridiculous energy saving room controls where things turn on when you dont intend for them to do so and turn off when you dont expect them to do so. (Lights will shut off when youre in the commode or shower.) I recommend to get a room with an odd number. These rooms face the west which is the quietest side of the tower. If you get a room with an even number you will be on the east side of the tower which gets a lot of noise from the endless cars and trucks milling thru the adjacent ARCO gas station 24/7. Good luck getting a solid night sleep on the east side rooms. All of the exterior ambient noise passes right thru the wall mounted AC unit. Room service was non responsive when we requested extra towels. We found some ourselves in the pool and fitness center areas. Poor lady working the Breakfast bar could barely keep up with the heard of customers pouring over the Breakfast area. Hats off to her for her hard work. Well be back, but can only tolerate a room on the west side due to the noisy exterior environment.

Everything was great until the fire alarm went off at 6 am. While I appreciate that the very loud alarm worked as intended, it turned out to be a false alarm from just burnt toast downstairs. My elderly parents (one of whom was disabled) were very frightened and my father still complains of chest pain a week later. One guest told us this false alarm had happened 3 times in the past six months. Please remedy this problem. Replace with better toasters with restricted settings. Your guests should not be jolted awake due to burnt toast.
I was in town for a business and stayed at this Hampton Inn for 3 nights and stayed in a King-sized room.Pros - The room is top-notch and better than the Washington, DC, White House Hampton Inn, where I stay regularly for business at an exorbitant price (the latter due to location). The room is large and spacious (I was surprised that it had a couch), extremely clean, and the temperature is always just right. The bathroom has no issues with water temperature, shower stall, or toilet. The bed, sheets, pillows, and duvet were extremely comfortable and did not smell like bleach. The parking is free and plentiful. The included breakfast is good. As with all Hampton Inns, you can pick up free water in/out. WiFi is free, strong, and fast enough to stream (I wouldnt download movie files or anything large). The TV is a high-quality Samsung that allows you to log into standard apps like Netflix and YouTube. The remote is straightforward and easy to use.Location - close to the highway, very short drive to the restaurants and stores in the town of Watsonville. Most importantly, Starbucks is across the parking lot from the hotel! (An Arco gas station with a decent convenience store is adjacent to the hotel. Otherwise, you need to drive into Watsonville proper for anything else.)Cons - I appreciate the power-saving features of the room (everything shuts off if there is stillness/inactivity in the room for a prolonged period except for the temperature), BUT a side-effect is that the mini-fridge also shuts off, rendering it useless. I like to save drinks and perishables, but I could not because the fridge would not be on 24/7. My phone would always ding in the middle of the night because it does that when I initiate a recharge. I deduced that the ding was because I had shifted in bed while sleeping, so the ding would wake me up periodically in the evening. (The bedside clock was always on because in addition to being plugged in, it has a battery to back it up during inactivity.) Additionally, the ice machine didnt work on our floor, so if I needed ice I would have to get it from another floor or the lobby.The cons were minor nit-picky annoyances that were not deal-breakers for myself. I give it a 5, but because of the cons, but TBH, I would give it a 4.75 out of 5.
Was the loudest hotel Ive stayed in awhile. I dont know what was going on above me but it was crazy loud. It was only the 1 night but it was annoying. Besides that it was good. The room was comfortable and the location great. 6 min to the beach.
Nice, reasonably priced hotel thats about 30 minutes to Monterey. It was clean and we didnt have any issues. Theres an ARCO and Starbucks right in the lot which was very convenient.
Positive: The room was amazing, except the trash bins were so small and they didnt put can liners in them.. we had to buy our own trash bags.. Negative: The front desk was extremely rude, customer service needs a serious amount of retraining.
I have stayed here several times every time. Its very clean very well. Run for very safe parking lot way worth the price.
We stayed here a couple of weeks ago in February for a little weekend getaway to Monterey. We decided to stay this past weekend again because we loved our stay so much. Spacious clean rooms, lovely indoorpool and complimentary breakfast. The location is also absolutely perfect. We loved that it was quiet and not much traffic but also not too far from everything. We will most definitely stay here again if we are ever in town!
I really enjoyed our stay with Hampton Inn & Suites Watsonville. We stayed for 2 nights. Their indoor pool was so nice and warm! Lots of stocked towels. We used their gym also which was stocked with great equipment, towels, wipes for cleaning and 2 TVs. Our room was clean and employees were nice. Definitely would recommend. :)

Loved this hotel! Not in the bustling city, surrounded by lovely farms. It was interesting just driving by different fields seeing workers pick produce. Room was very clean and updated. Bed and pillows were ultra comfortable. Breakfast was great lots of options. Front desk staff very kind and professional. I wish there was a hot tub but the pool looked nice with a large area with chairs for lounging.
Biggest complaint, and this is a big one…. The motion sensing lights in the room are awful. There’s no way to deactivate them. They turned on (against my wishes) twice during the night, once when I got up to use the bathroom, and once when I turned over in bed. There’s one the in the entrance way, bathroom, and bedroom - they are truly awful, and none of them can be deactivated. Hampton Inn - why did you think installing these was a good idea?? People come here to sleep, not be woken up suddenly by lights…Otherwise, hotel is clean. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good.

Super new hotel with excellent amenities and efficient staff. Check in was a breeze, room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, and the blackout curtains and AC made our night of sleep awesome. Great complimentary breakfast in the morning and easy access to Starbucks 10 feet away. We will surely stay again!
Checked in late at night and there was no parking available because there were big trucks taking up parking spots in the entire back row of the parking lot. Went to the front desk and the person working there (Daljit) immediately offered to move his car so that I could park in his spot.The entire hotel staff (front desk, housekeeping, the breakfast bar people) were extremely helpful. George at the front desk was were friendly and was a great help!The rooms were clean and furnished with new furniture. Very pleasing and relaxing.Breakfast was standard fare. Everything was well stocked and refilled quickly. Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, bread, muffins, pastries, cornflakes, oat meal, fruits, etc. Coffee was available 24 hours and there were fresh water bottles available (a nice touch).Will definitely stay here again.
I lived in Watsonville for most of my life, moved to the bay area a few years ago. First time at this hotel. Very beautiful. Called two days before to make sure non service animals are welcomed. Pet friendly however upon checking in we did not know there was an animal fee, it was not mentioned over the phone. This is the first time Ive ever taken a fur baby to a hotel so Im not sure if its with All hotels/motels but would have been nice if that was first mentioned when I called 2 days prior. Room was amazing, perfect for the family. The only thing I have cons about the room would be the shower. There was long dark brown female hair on the shower walls and floor prior to me using it. I had to clean the shower while taking a shower before any of my kids used it. All in all it was a wonderful stay, would definitely come back and recommend to others.
For $200+ room, a clean, filtered drinking water fountain to fill up a bottle would be nice. Your water is horrible
We have stayed at many Hampton Inns, and this was one of our favorites.It is fairly new and sparkling clean, with the usual amenities and comfortable beds.Parking was plentiful and free.They have a nice gym and pool, and the usual free breakfast.We will definitely stay here again sometime.

Saw this hotel and noticed its negative reviews, thought wed check it out.PROS- Hotel is fairly new, so new and comfortable beds and bathrooms.- One hotel employee was kind and helpful in recommending food near by (because her second job is in the hospitality industry).CONS- We were quoted $171 total (including tax) just last night, and they charged us $197.- Fruit offered in the breakfast to-go box was rotten, with warm yogurt.- Called a couple times for additional linens, front desk responded.... No one came, last phone call was transferred to a full voicemail box.Recommendations.- If you work at the hotel, know and understand your station. If an item is requested and you dont know where it is, take it as a sign that you need to get your head in the game.- Double-check all food before serving. Were at the tail end of a pandemic shutdown, food safety should be a habit already acquired.This hotel has potential, please work harder to provide better hospitality and responsible customer service.
The service was excellent, the staff was busy and they still had a smile on their face when helping you! The room was clean, very well organized. The breakfast buffet was nice they offered a variety of things overall very satisfied with my stay! I would recommend to any of my friends or family members!
1st time here. Great experience. Staff super friendly, easy check in and check out. Its far from the freeway so you get no noise level. Amazing breakfast and eating tables. You can find multiple connections all over the hotel so u can always charge up. The rms are clean and very beautiful. We will definitely stay here again. Starbucks is right close by even a plus. 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Disaster from the beginning to the very end, if I could give them a 0 I would. Apparently they do not train their employees. Everything I tried getting done didn’t happen. Hotel I guess doesnt have extra towels for guests. They also do not clean the AC/ heater filters. At check out I tried splitting the charges between two cards which should of been no big deal, I was wrong! I ended up getting billed the full amount twice, on two different cards. I’ve tried calling the hotel multiple times already to fix this asking for a manager and either no one would come to the phone, or the line would be disconnected, or I’m hearing other conversations. Sadly, we will not be back. The lack of customer service and the fact that I was charged double and no one seems to care is enough for me.
Quality of the room hardware was not as good as other Hampton Inns I have stayed at over the years.My observation of the number of people staying in one room while there might explain the wear and tear.I was surprised that there was no extra charge for the unusual number of people staying in one room. A great value when several families pay for one room. Guess some sleep on the floor??
All new hotel with nice rooms, friendly personnel, free coffee all-day and free breakfast. A lot USB-power ports inside the room with 2.1A loading. We had a studio and the light in the shower went off every 30 seconds. Thats not funny while showering. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Clean, spacious, well staffed, quick access to freeway & comfortable beds. Breakfast was well supplied and it never ran out, parking was plenty with 8 electric vehicle charging stations (6 kWh), helpful staff from front desk to the cleaning crew and breakfast crew, seems to be a very well managed property and kudos to the on-site GM that is visible and available to talk to. Property is also brand new, and super glad we stayed here. Highly recommended if you are wanting to stay in between Santa Cruz and Monterey.
We checked in for two nights on September 3.In the closet of room 324 we found a dirty laundry of the previous guests.We went to the front desk, told them about it and asked them to pick it up.As no one came, we put it outside the room.It was still there in the morning.We went again in the morning to the front desk and the new person commented that out wasnt good...
Best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed. Room is clean, spacious and modern looking. Friendly staff. Indoor swimming. A Starbucks right across that opens to 11pm daily. Perfect stay for any travelers.
Stayed here on a business trip as it was between Santa Cruz and Salinas. Room was very clean. I appreciate the number of USB ports around the room for my devices while I work.If it werent for the strange dead spot in my cell service (ATT with an S21 Ultra) I would have given it 5/5. Perhaps need a signal booster as the service was fine in the hotel lobby and front of the hotel.
Hotel is wonderful! Great lobby area available, pool, etc. Close to some good beaches. Right by a Starbucks and a few gas stations. Close to freeway, but tucked away. It is in a spot that is ready for growth. They are just there early.
Positive: Easy access Negative: Breakfast coffee is weak. Unhealthy options for breakfast.. premade egg omelets. Boiled eggs would be better
This place was very clean and you can tell its taken care of. I love the old house across the street and was able to learn a lot of history about its past. Why I give it 4 stars is because the front desk lady seemed very over worked. All other staff went home and she was left to do everything alone. A hotel this size needs more than just one person. We felt bad for her. She was amazing and so sweet through it all. Also the elevator was having issues and I got stuck on it for a good 15 mins because it kept going to every floor but the one I needed and either would not open the door or it would open and no one was there. Overall tho we would stay again if in the area.
I called for a late check out the night before (1pm) due to a competition being held in the area. Got back to the hotel at 1230pm and my key card was deactivated.I also called in the morning to send some fresh towels to the room bc my daughter used their lotion they provided and she broke out into a rash. She needed to take a shower. My husband said the towels were never delivered. 😑😑😑😑

The breakfast is very rich in American hotels. The room is very large. We booked a twin room with two 1.5-meter beds, which is especially suitable for families with children. The mattress is also very comfortable. All in all very satisfied.

Im giving this 5 stars. Very nice rooms. Bed and pillows were so comfortable that I sunk into the bed. They had a full breakfast with lots to choose from. You were allowed to sit down and enjoy your food.
Very new hotel, probably still straightening out kinks. We were on the 4th floor, rm# 411, around 8am, the floors were vibrating, shaking the cabinets continuously for about 4mins.The pandemic did not help with providing warm breakfast. Just the standard bagels and muffin in a box handout.Nice and new carpet help with noise reduction, not sure how itll hold a year or two later.
I really cant review my stay ... since the Hampton Inn 800 number booked me at the wrong hotel (300 miles south of this location) and never sent me confirmation because they had my name and email address TOTALLY misspelled. After being assured that Hampton Inn had NO reservation for me at any of their hotels that night (due to spelling error), I was charged a no show fee. (They DID get my credit card information correct.) I had to make several calls (two of which totaled 2 hours) and am now told that I should receive a refund in the mail within a month. Oh .. I dont even think the hotel reopened in time to honor my reservation even if it had been correct.
I want to Thank them for their hospitality while we were there, we were having car trouble while visiting California and actually had to purchase a new car. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and the kids took advantage of the pool while there.
Enjoy stay, clean quiet easy to go anywhere, just wish the restaurants in town were opened later than 6pm. Ate at only 2 that had open hours 7to8pm eating time,and one pizza place. Few fast food were open. Did not look for any of many Mexican or Oriental ones if they were opened .
If service is desired, or even a simple, thank you. - avoid this property.

This might be my first bad review I’ve written on google. After several attempts by several different people in my family to book rooms to stay in for my wedding, which is nearby this year, I tried calling myself. Several attempts later, with promised call backs, the call backs never come, and I now see why my relatives were so frustrated.As a local business owner, I have to wonder how many other people are being treated in this manner, and how much business the management is costing Hampton Inn? Maybe they don’t care for the business, or their customers. Either way I’ll no longer be recommending any people who visit our family to stay at Hampton of Watsonville.
This hotel is about a year old. My room was clean and huge on the 4th floor. Theres a Starbucks within a few steps from the entrance and alot of charging units. The staff was friendly.
This is a great place to stay. I was very impressed with the staff and the roominess of the room. We loved the stay and location. Indoor pool nd plenty of parking plus a Starbucks and AM/PM next door, perfect stay!
Hampton Inns are some of my favorites. Love the rooms and the location. It was right next door to a Starbucks and a am/pm. Highlight of the stay was the staff. Maria and the Hotel manager where very kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Kitchen staff is great, and only 1 front desk staff is friendly. The rest of the staff is rude and unhelpful. You are met with eye rolls and attitude, and forget being a priority if you aren’t flirting with the staff.

Just spent 2 days and nights there, there was no way to disable the motion sensor lighting in the rooms. Thus, they came on at all hours of the night and kept me awake. I asked the front desk to do something about it and they could do nothing. I would never ever stay here again!!!
Rooms are comfortable and spacious, location is very convenient for shopping and right off highway 1 Ive stayed here before and will definitely be back.

Bad customer service. Rude employees. Over priced rooms. I would not stay here again. Every time I walked past the front desk people were complaining about the service or room . One gentleman walked out as he said he would rather sleep in his car.
Rooms are $200 a night not the advertised price.Our room was clean! Staff was polite. Get to breakfast at 8:00-8:30 it ends at 10AM!Will be coming back soon! Thanks

This place was surprisingly wonderful. We had a beautiful room and were able to rest. 30 minutes from Monterrey and about 10 minutes from Moss Landing for whale watching. Everything was wonderful
Watch out when you stay here. The front desk will check in someone else using your credentials (but fortunately not your credit card), then act surprised when you show up to check in. They did find me a room, while acting like this was a great imposition. Supervisor staff (Inez) claimed she would research the issue and contact me to resolve and explain what occurred. I received no phone call, no voice message, no text, nothing. Upon checkout, the clerk claimed the person staying in my original room had extended his stay without informing the hotel. I find this a dubious excuse. I will be visiting Watsonville frequently in the future. Its unlikely Ill be staying here again.
Not too bad. Near good areas and within walking distance to subway and Starbucks. Though its not in town and the freeway is literally right there. In the room my 2 year old found chewed gum under a night stand. That was gross, she thought it was sticky tac. The maids need to do a better job at checking for stuff like that. My 2 year old should have never been able to grab someone elses chewed gum.

Sadly the rooms were not the ones I had requested they were on the third floor not the first! Most of all I had requested also a handicap room with a roll in shower, which I just got a regular king shower room.The toilet is was too low for an older person, no grab bars!Very dissatisfied!

My mother-in-law and I tried for literally 2 months to reserve a room block here for my wedding guests. Multiple times I left my number and was told that the manager, Ricardo, would call me. He never did. I was finally given his number and left him a voicemail and STILL didn’t hear back. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a business.

Stayed at the hotel 2 times while being under 21, went back a 3rd time and they did not let us check in because I am 19. The manager was very rude and wouldn’t even refund us. They had made a mistake twice and didn’t let us stay when they have always allowed guests 18 and older to check in. Will never stay here again, stay ANYWHERE ELSE
It was clean and nice and probably one of the best choices around the area. It is in a good location to visit Moss Landing.
Brand new Hilton property (opened on 05/24/2021) with indoor pool, fitness and business center. There is a Starbucks on the property as part of the Pajaro Dunes center. Arco gas station and AmPm is adjacent to the property. There are quite a few EV charging stations as well.As an upscale inn, It’s a good stopover on route Monterey and a sweet spot amidst Del Mar strawberry farms that has quick access to Santa Cruz and Monterey bay.The historic Redman-Hirahara house is opposite to the property which is not that well maintained though.Overall the property is very clean and Covid prepared, that allows contactless checkin and digital key access from Hilton honors mobile app ( sometimes buggy as it’s new and may need a quick support from the front desk).
Very decent hotel for the price 20 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz clean and they had almond milk for a milk option at breakfast Definitely would stay here again.
It was a great room, comfortable bed. The outlets in our bathroom didnt work, so it was hard to curl my hair.
Great hotel near beach and just a few minutes away from town with easy access to the freeway. Customer service was great and the hotel was spotless, modern, and very well kept.

Clean, everything worked. Quiet and safe at the same time I didnt feel harassed or suspect when I would go outside all thru the night because of my insomnia and anxiety 🙃. So, thank you for that!!!!
I made a reservation for may 14-16 through google travel. Upon arrival the hotel is not even open. Calling customer service they cant help me because I booked through google travel. Now i need to sleep in my car in watsonville. Wish me luck.

No one asked if I was an Honors member ...location had only been open 3 weeks, yet, upon arriving at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday . The parking lot was empty, and I was asked to wait, to check in . I was not aware of the 3:00 pm check in time . My fault ...they just seemed to have a poor attitude ...in my opinion .
All staff was so helpful & amazing from Mangers to front desk to house keeping to maintenance great customer service

American hotels have very rich breakfasts. The rooms are very spacious. We booked a twin room with two 1.5 meter beds, which is especially suitable for families with children. The mattress is also very comfortable. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Dinner in Japan, the middle calculation is very rich, Fusama Sodai, Im a 1.5-meter bed, a specially adapted childs family, and the bed is also an emergency surrender. Im happy with my intentions.

2023-07-16 16:23:17I could sleep!!! The ac/fan/heat is fully controllable (with a lower limit of 68 degrees). I slept easily on the first night and the rest of our 5 night stay. Breakfast had at least 5 hot dishes to choose from (Eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, waffles), plus fruit, cereal, yogurt, baked goods, juices, milk, and a full coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar. We never felt like hitting the Starbucks out front. The kids enjoyed the pool. Our room was spacious enough for the 4 of us and the drawers/closet were just barely big enough to completely unload all our suitcases. Efficient furniture choices and layout! It seemed like it had been renovated in this century. The shared door between the bathroom and closet was only awkward in the morning. Some lights are motion sensitive, so at night someone heading to the bathroom might trip them. The shower warms up quickly! The bathroom fan turns off on its own too soon, so the room can get humid or musty with multiple users - hit the button twice. Additionally, some outlets are tied to the room light switches, so be careful where you plug in your CPAP or other support/charging equipment. If all you need is a bed for a night, its a bit pricey, but if youre staying longer or have trouble sleeping in new places - worth it.

2023-11-30 03:31:35Although a newer hotel with breakfast, and close enough proximity between town and Sunset Beach, a Starbucks, and morning breakfast, we will not be going back. Im not typically this critical, but we visit there once or twice a year, and I need the short break to recoup from all day family gatherings. The sheets were scratchy and uncomfortable. The comforters are frilly- maybe for some good practical reason- but also uncomfortable. Noise from the room above was ok one night, but not the next when it was busier. (Toddler running back and forth?? Dog? After 10:30pm? Not sure.) Breakfast was ok, maybe better than other hotels, but not when the hotel is more full. The front parking is bizarrely mostly dedicated to EVs, rather than handicap spaces. We couldnt get in from the back or sides after 10, which meant dragging a special needs child from the back or side in the cold late at night returning from our family members house. It ended up being a bummer. Biggest pros, besides breakfast: The pool was small, but still fun for our kid, so that was a perk. The gym is also very good with everything you could think of- you dont even need to bring your mat. If you pass out easily and need a good gym, without a disabled person in your group, youll be fine. Also, theres a little shop with all kinds of snacks- probably really great if you arrive late or have teens!

2023-10-31 13:11:53Nice rooms, free breakfast. Location was good for what we were there for but it was in an industrial area/farm area. Sidewalks only extended to the corner of the street then the cross street had none and not enough room to walk and be safe with all the traffic.

2023-12-23 08:46:04In our 2-queen-bed room, there was only ONE chair. It was not a comfortable setting where only one person at a time gets to sit. I do not recommend the hotel.

2023-08-03 20:12:26Update: 03-Aug-2023, The promised discount for the streaming services not working during our stay was never delivered. We were charged the full amount.The service staff is top notch, excellent, delightful, considerate, just great people.An example of that was that I selected our room during the check-in process online, but since it wasnt ready at the time of our arrival, we were upgraded to a suite. Another example was that none of the streaming services they offered in the room were working, and we received a discount for the night they didnt work.For EV car owners, they have 4 Charge Point Level 2 chargers in the facility. They are not free ($2/hr) but very convenient to have at the hotel.There is a Starbucks store literally in front of the hotel which is very convenient.Sunset beach is not very far from here.In summary, the Hampton Inn & Suites in Watsonville is a nice location in the middle of farm land, but not too far from different attractions in the area, and great staff. I highly recommend it.

2023-08-10 04:02:22Stayed in a king bed with fridge and microwave room for one night 08AUG23. The room has no laundry bag, no conditioner, they left the body shampoo bottle by the sink for handwash i supposed since there is no soap bar? The carpet looks new. I get to used the gym when it first open in the morning at 0600hrs and it was dirty. It does not get cleaned overnight with overflow trash can and the floor was full of hair and other things, towels were left on the floor. 2 out of three treadmills are out of service. Bike adjustment knobs missing. Looks very sad for a fairly new hotel.

Room had an infestation of ants in bathroom and common room and on ac unit. Negative: The ants in hotel room. Informed front desk of the ant problem as I checked out and personnel thanked me for informing them.
