I visited HanBul Korean BBQ for lunch on the weekend, and it left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, we were seated fairly quickly, and there was decent room at the tables, although the overall layout felt a bit cramped for walking. Unfortunately, the decor didnt leave much of an impression, and the restaurant seemed crowded. We opted for the Bossam, which includes pork belly, cabbage wraps, and oysters, along with Korean side dishes and tofu soup. Regrettably, the food was only okay, and the cabbage wraps were disappointingly soggy and ice-cold. I must also mention that the oysters had a rather fishy taste, which was quite off-putting.

We opted to seat outside as the tables there can cater to bigger groups. We decided to go with korean but if youre feeling like eating sushi then you can opt for their japanese menu. The staff are always so friendly and observant.Portion sizes are good to share and many already come with a banchan so its best to order as a group instead of individually as youll end up with so many dishes on your table like usIt all tasted nice and you best believe it got cleaned up by our group.Ambiance is always nice. Even when you order via doordash/ for delivery youll always get good service - they package the orders nicely especially when it comes with soup. I cannot recommend this more.

This place shares the space with Japanese restaurant which I found it pretty cool. I believe it was temporary but it was cool experience either way. The food was really good! They have 3-4 or more people packages for dinner . You can ask your server for the price of 2 people. It was a bit pricy but you’ll get a lot of food ! Two of us who are huge kbbq fans couldn’t finish the dishes . It was really good . Great customer service! Definitely reccomended it!

They serve both korean and japanese dishes. Great customer service. The LA Kalbi was my favorite and also their soft tofu stew.Parking garage is just right across the Street. Definitely coming back here whenever I’m in the area.

I was here with a group of friends for dinner. I had the spicy soup, (which was not particularly spicy) and it was okay, but not as good as I had anticipated. My dining companions loved each of their orders, so Ill go back again and order something else...they highly recommend the sizzling pork and bibimbap.

I’m so glad this place opened up next to where I work. I love Korean food because it feeds my soul.Very impressed. I went with my buddy at work and we just had a blast. The banchan spread was outstanding for Santa Rosa and we ate enough meat to take home extra. We ordered one of the smaller combos for two. It comes with tofu soup (for the soul), the large banchan spread, rice and the yummy veggie pancake. Oh the pancake. We ate everything before I could remember to take photos.Yes, fret not, you’ll definitely leave smelling like Korean food. Yum.Update: also had lunch here. Got the soon tofu, and it was excellent!!! I ordered 4 items- delivery, the other 2 are my son’s, so I dont know his comment on them Beef bulgogi $27 was tasty. Its a bento box. Kalbi Jim was $61, basically boiled short ribs w sweet flavor, potatoes, carrots & Korean thick noodle, Even I can maybe make it even better. Im disappointed on the positioning. Its not worth the price. Pictures shown I have already eaten half of the bulgogi & 1/3 of the kalbi Jim.

I like the fact you can choose between the two restaurants & order from either menu all in one! Service was great. I learned Im not a fan of glass Noodles but overall the presentation was beautiful & staff were friendly. I will return for their Bistro Boxes which are budget friendly and have plenty of options to choose from.

A great find in Santa Rosa - we went during their soft launch/opening, and the experience proved a strong debut. Service was excellent with very attentive wait staff. Food was detectable, and seems to me quite authentic based on my experiences at other Korean restaurants around the country. Beautiful decor complete with string lights, Korean modern art, and kpop in the background. Several TVs with sports were mounted above, but they seem a little out of place.We had the beef Dol Sot bibimbap and Kalbi Tang. Came with 10 side dishes and a steamed egg on the house. The Kalbi Tang was tasty, but the Bibimbap stole the show. The only criticism of the Bibimbap I have is that it was missing a fried egg. Side dishes included familiar favorites like Kim chi, bean sprouts and carrots, pickled radish, and fish cakes, but also rather odd additions like a macaroni/corn salad, steamed broccoli, plain celery, as well as an apple/cucumber fruit salad. I’ve never seen the black bean side dish before, but that one I’ll give a pass because it may be a Korean side dish I’m simply not familiar with.Very large portions and definitely worth it for the price. They gave us 25% off for paying with cash. Will definitely return!

Delicious food and great service! Our server guided us through the whole meal explaining how to eat everything in the traditional korean way. The platter of various snacks was delicious and the presentation of all the food was really beautiful. Definitely a great spot for date night or a fun group dinner!

The pitchers of water touched every glass rim as glasses were being refilled. I didnt like that at all.The server who showed me how my food was supposed to be enjoyed was very nice. Unfortunately the fried rice kept sticking in my teeth and mostly I just tasted the oil of the dish.I ordered a kimchi pancake thing that was good. Just a little bit spicy but in a good way.The decorations were cute but werent repaired very well when broken. The light fixture above us had a bunch of holes in its paper and some holes were patched with strips of tape.I appreciated that they had vegan options.The servers were attentive.I might go back but probably only if somebody else wanted to go there or if its been a whileI wish them all the best.

We ordered the hanbul beef kalbi for two people and they gave us beef bulgogi instead of prime rib. I brought it to their attention and the first server verified it was bulgogi and said, oh, the prime is on the way. Then a second server came up and interrupted us, and lied and pointed to the bulgogi and said it was prime rib. I asserted it was not and the second server then pointed to the short rib and said THAT dish was the prime rib, and switched the names of things around. At 109$ we were completely ripped off. They will assume youre stupid and dont know the difference between the meats, then switch what youre supposed to get for a different dish. We will not be returning.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful, the employees are very kind and helpful, theyre also very generous in going through the details of the culture of Korean BBQ and traditional ways to eat the spreads with the sauces, very much enjoyed my first visit with family. Its clean, spacious, and sings beauty with every moment you enjoy your meal. The prices are very worth the value because theres so much to bring home(we had 3 people in our group and we were able to feel full and bring so much home with us!). I’ve ordered quite a few times from this place. Most of time the food is delicious but their quality of food is wildly inconsistent. I ordered via grubhub, they pushed out the pick up time and by the time I got there my food was cold, there was a POOL of oil at the bottom of the container and the food I ordered did not taste anything like it did the last time. It’s like an entirely different recipe, hit or miss type deal. I feel like Hanbul and Haku sushi have both gone down in quality, it’s almost not worth the money anymore.

Hot bibimbap is great too, but the only comment I may have is it could be better served in a hot bowl/pot rather than a flat hot plate, which made rice easily over burnt even with immediate stirring. but still tasty. fried banana ice cream is good too.

After reading the reviews we decided to go for lunch and have the BBQ for two for $75. The place itself is bright and airy with both conventional and BBQ tables, nice. When we arrived there was only one other couple eating so it did feel a little empty. Our hostess was bright and efficient if a little pushy when it came to cooking the food, and we did feel rushed. The food was average at best, three cuts of meat crying out for seasoning and just OK shrimp. The large number of accompaniments were pre-prepared and very bland. I had to ask for chili to spoof things up a little.Overall, we didnt enjoy our meal and the price wasnt particularly good value (even with the 15% discount for cash). The Korean bbq concept was new to us and while its always good to try something new we shant be returning. A smaller but better set of side dishes along with higher quality meat would improve the experience no end.

Had a wonderful dinner experience with friends last night! We got the surf and turf combo for 3 and we were over the moon! The shrimp in particular were so delicious. Every ban chan was thoughtfully prepared and seasoned.The highlight was definitely our service from our server Dat who grilled all our proteins (and a little foil boat of garlic and serranos--yum!) He was consistently engaging and knowledgeable about the different flavor combinations of all the little dishes laid out before us.Top recommendation!

Soo good! I highly recommend this Korean bbq spot, you have to go for the bbq! The sides are plentiful and delicious! I love all the fresh veggies, salads, lettuce, etc. It comes with. We were a group of 3 people and got the Surf and Turf for 3 at $109 and there was ALOT of meat plus shrimp! It also came with soup and a steamed egg. We then ordered the glass noodles with veggie only and those were so good! The pork belly was cooked perfectly and the beef brisket was so flavorful! The cook everything for you, its apart of the service for sure. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Im so excited to have a korean bbq spot in Sonoma County now! We have supported this restaurant(s) on multiple occasions, for multiple years. Being that COVID has been devastating to the industry, we are happy to try to support even more. It is tragic that the restaurant charges $25.00 for a medium portion of a cheap cut of pork and a small side of rice, TO GO. TOGO is a better revenue margin for a restaurant. No table being tied up by a guest, no labor to clean dishes, etc... The menu shows an a la cart option, after confirmation with the serve of a la cart. I do NOT want the DINNER. The bill arrives and the restaurant has trained their employees to respond with its a take it or leave it price, we dont do a la cart to the guest inquiry. After discussion with ownership, they claim that Korean food requires more cost, the ingredients are not available here and they have to source from very far away. Ownership then continues to patronize the guest by explaining that the restaurant does not make any money on the expensive sides...the sides are pickled vegetables, rice and soup; three of the cheapest food cost categories in a program. If you cant make food cost on rice, soup, pickled vegetables and a cheap cut of pork; you have a problem. If you train your service staff to respond with take it or leave it...you have a problem. If ownership is going to patronize guests with condescending false statements...you have a problem. If this is how your going to behave with the guest when trying to recover from COVID; you have a major problem. Its much easier to retain a guest, than it is to find a new one. We want to wish you support and good luck, but we cant support this type of behavior.

Excellent food and service. The bbq that was built into the table was not overly smokey and was tended to very well. Our server was great and even helped us cook the bbq. He also explained how to eat certain dishes and with the which sauces. Ive been to other Korean bbqs where youre left to fend for yourself. Highly recommend this place. Come with an appetite and some time.

Wooooooah! LEGIT Korean BBQ. I cannot recommend this place enough. I went to the soft open, and all of the food is freshly prepared and delicious! Meat was fresh and tasty, and the sauces matched perfectly. Service was friendly and jovial. The owner is a nice guy who lives locally. The bottom line is that this place is a great addition to the downtown area. Banchan omakase, seafood panjeon, and beef set are what I recommend. I will be back often!

It is a pricey place for sure, but if youre willing to spend some money, then this is your go-to place. The meats that they offer are top quality with amazing marinades for the meats that are marinated. The dipping sauces are some of the best Ive had and great compliments to the meats. Lots of food is given in the sets that are offered, such as the banchan omakase, a plate with a variety of chef special side dishes, steamed egg, korean style pancake (pajeon), and soybean soup. They offer to cook for you, which is nice if you want to talk with friends or try everything thats offered w/out worrying about the meat being burned. Would give it 4, but the main issue would be the smoke and how easily it can fill up the restaurant. Expect to leave the restaurant smelling like meat and smoke. Also not an AYCE, so it hurts the wallet just a bit. Happy hour is worth it though; catch is that its cash only. If youre broke and want KBBQ, then AYCE is ur choice, but if you want some top quality KBBQ where everything will not dissapoint, then I highly recommend this restaurant.

Finally, korean bbq with the bbq tables like you see in the movies. This place is very korean. The number of side dishes is impressive; in fact, one of the appetizers sports 22 side dishes. They do a classic babimbap hot and cold. They do not put egg in it though. There are at least four bbq choices. The service is attentive and prompt. All servers wear white shirt and pants with a pink or red apron. Everyone was sweet and kind. The decor is interesting in that the main room walls up to the ceiling are covered in shiny white tile. It gives the appearance of being sparkling clean. The are some interesting art choices on the wall including a giant stop light that does not look like it came from the United States. There are strung lights stretched across the room above head that occupy the middle of the height of it.. At the top of the room there are two arched windows that allow natural light into the room. On the floor through out the room are other pieces of art including an Asteriod arcade game. I look forward to exploring more of their menu.
